Not that big of a selection. Shoes are expensive but expected in Montclair. The girls are usually nice but the last time there my son was coming in from a haircut where he was given a lollipop. The girl told them to be careful with the lollipop and then asked me to take it away because they had incidents with sticky hands near the shoes. My son was upset and I really didn’t feel like staying. We have spent a lot of money there and I can understand concerns we usually don’t have candy. This was a tiny dumdum pop and it was a bit extreme. Luckily we are moving so won’t be back anyway.

Update: now that my daughter is walking, we decided to go back and get her first shoes. Again, we were very pleased with the service. They measured her feet and recommended a size. They also had a bogo deal, so we got 2 pairs for $ 48. Yes, we could have spent a lot less at Target, but I wanted that first pair to be special and high quality. And I was happy to support a local business. Plus it’s a super cute area, so we stayed for dinner too.

My daughter and I visited The Little Shoebox today and had a wonderful experience. The place was hopping, but we were helped almost immediately. The young woman measured Anna’s foot and was very sweet with her. They had an adorable selection of shoes, and we found a comfortable yet fancy enough pair of sandals (that Anna insisted on wearing) with ease and without breaking the bank! I will definitely return for next September’s back to school shoes. I only wish I could justify buying another pair of shoes right now; they were that cute!

This place is wonderful. I have been several times and am always pleased. I went today and was help by a great girl. They accurately and carefully measure the child’s foot then bring out suggestions that would work best. For example, my sons feet suddenly got a little wide so she explained how to buy shoes differently for him and what to look for. Sure you might spend a few dollars more but for the great service and peace of mind that you are getting your child the right shoe, well it’s damn worth it.

This is a great place to get kids shoes! I’ve been a customer of little shoebox for five years now and I’m never disappointed in the great service that I receive. They have the best selection of shoes that I’ve ever seen, my kids love it. The prices are highly competitive as well.

This is a cute shop but it def is more expensive than what you can find online or even at nordstrom. And their return policy is STORE CREDIT ONLY: /​pretty lame.

This shop is amazing! I have been shopping here for years. My son is grown but I now buy my niece and nephews, and my grandson their shoes here. Their selection and inventory is fantastic! And the prices are the same or better than anywhere else. The staff and owner are beyond helpful and always willing to make suggestions. They are experts in making sure you are getting the proper fit and style for your little one. They take the time to make buying shoes a fun and enjoyable experience for you and your child. I wish they sold shoes in my size! Oh and let me not forget to mention that their Gift Certificates are always a big hit!
