Took 5 rolls of already developed APS film from an old ELF camera to get 4“x6″ prints and some panoramic prints made for a Christmas gift. The Walgreens photo printers at a few of the local Walgreens were not working, so we thought we’d try this shop. I was doing this for my daughter who was at work and not available to do it. It was Friday afternoon and they said they could have it for her Monday by eleven. I asked if there was a chance they might have it ready sooner and they said they would call if so. Although they would not tell me the price of the prints when I telephoned before I went in, the price was $ 17.99 for the 4“x 7″ panoramic prints and $ 2.99 for the 4“x6″ prints when I actually got there with the film. I thought this was high but did not phone my daughter to ask if it was too much because, as I said, she working, and I knew that she was on a business call and could not be interrupted. So I left the five rolls and an $ 80 deposit. Within an hour I had told her the cost and she said it was way too much, especially when she had had some developed for much less at Walgreens. We went back immediately, not more than hour after I had left the film there. They were already printing the first roll. We did not ask for our deposit back yet and figured we’d just pay him for the work already done. The man was extremely rude, he did not want to return the rest of the film. He said that we looked like people who just couldn’t pay. He said that he did not have to return the deposit,(which we had not yet asked for) and that it was not his fault,(which we had not said that it was). He said that we had a «tone» when we came in to retrieve the film. This was an unpleasant experience. The whole reason that we wanted the film back was that his prices were just so much higher for the exact same work that a Walgreens could do, if we could find one that had a working printer. We do not recommend this shop, the man is nasty.
