My husband and I stopped while on a brief trip through TN. When we arrived, the parking lot was empty and no customers inside. There was a very unapproachable woman behind the tasting counter, who we greeted, but received no reply. There were about 10 bottles(not varieties) of wine in glass cabinets. It seemed more like a museum than a winery. We asked if the grapes were grown on the premises, and again received no reply. We were never offered a tasting, never greeted, and completely ignored. After visiting dozens of wineries this is the first time I’ve ever left without a bottle of wine. Even if I dislike all the wines at a tasting I’ll still buy a bottle because of the establishment’s generosity. There is no way I’d ever recommend visiting this winery.

We purchased four bottles of wine for over eighty dollars and therefore are entitled to our opinion. Our impression of the tasting experience was lacking in enthusiasm to say the least. Mr. «Lurch» looked like he had come off of the local par three golf course and had the enthusiasm of a child told to eat their spinach! Never once was I asked what type of wine I drank or enjoyed or if I wanted to taste something dry or sweet or if I even wanted to taste something else. We were treated like Sunday drunks who could not afford to buy a six pack at the convenient store up the street. I am sorry your employee did not want to be there. I certainly will not be there again. CHEERS!

Located right off of the interstate this is a must stop if you are in the area. Situated atop scenic Monteagle Mountain the surroundings are beautiful. The building was very nice and welcoming. If you like oaked dry red wines this is the place to be. My favorite was the Sunset Blush which is a red table wine that resembles a white zin.
