If you’re looking for a place that is cheap-and-go, then this is what you’re here for. «Banh mi» always have buy 2 get 1 free special, it’s a very good deal as their«banh mi» is pretty fine too.

Came here BC its right near the place i was getting oil change for my car. What a horrible customer service I’ve just encountered! Keep in mind that I was just there for take-out and not the whole dine-in experience. I just bought their sandwiches and all I wanted was a small container to put in some extra sriracha chili sauce in. The ladies just pointed me to the middle of the restaurant with all their messy stash of utensils/supplies and expected me to dig through the mess. I was having a hard time and one Lady murmured in Vietnamese to another lady saying… «Oh my God, it’s right in front and she can’t even see it». Then I had to go find a empty table to pour the sauce on my own. I’m Vietnamese myself and I’m just so disappointed in the service they put out. I’ve always wondered why BMCC always gets bad reviews. Unhappy rude workers makes for unhappy customers. However, if you want fast and cheap Vietnamese food and you don’t mind the bad service, you should check this place out!

Food is great and affordable but the waiters are so rude, some dont write down your order. Make faces when you ask for something. We had to keep asking for a side of vegetables and they just wouldn’t bring it.

The curry chicken with bread was disappointing. It didn’t taste like what it use to. It didn’t taste Vietnamese. Also the curry was luke warm and the bread was cold inside. When I asked the young male waiter if he can warm it he proceeded to argue with me that that’s how the curry and bread comes that he guaranteed he warmed it. Did I say you didn’t warm it? I said it’s luke warm I want it hot. He kept trying to argue about it when another waitress came up and just said«no problem» which should’ve been his initial response. Although I appreciated her jumping in and helping when the kid was being unnecessarily defensive and rude, the curry still came out just warm. I also tried to point out to the same male waiter that my utensils were dirty and he tried to argue when he came up to me that all their silverware is just stained. As you can see in my photo those were not stains but clear food crum. Never coming back here again. It’s not the same.

Didnt see VIETNAMESECOFFEE displayed on the menu board but I knew this place had to sell it & i work close by(only milk tea and che is listed on the menu) –$ 2.45 for an iced vietnamese coffee: the lady was SUPER nice & made sure I tried my coffee before i left since she knew i liked blacker coffee. Thank goodness because I definitely needed it stronger so she gladly added more black coffee –ham, cheese, egg croissant sad which: the croissants are HUGE so this was a filling sandwich, not bad, the croissant had a slightly sweet crust on top, but weird that they added lettuce tomato and mayo $ 10 minimum on credit cards NOTE: open early PLUS there’s a parking lot behind the building!

Needs training on customer service and cleanliness practice. Staff member drop the tong that she was using to grab items from the display case(fried donuts etc) and picked it up from the floor and used it again. Staff was also clearly irritated with customer’s request. You get what pay for here… cheap food with rude service and questionable cleanliness. Imagine what’s happening in the back.

They charge water! It’s a hot day, and customers order hot and spicy foods – how insensitive, unappreciative, and inhumane! Thus goes to show all they care about is $-and how much they can get. Hope the word spreads about their kind.

This place opens at 7AM, perfect for a morning meal or lunch to go. The best part is that they have meals already wrapped and ready to go on the counter. Vietnamese sandwiches are $ 3.50. Rice or noodle meals are $ 4 each. I love grabbing lunch from here on my way to work. CASHONLY. Do not grab a to-go meal after 12 noon. Everything has been sitting there since morning and shows signs of decay after so many hours.

Honestly, you guys are fools for whoever is giving it bad reviews! You guys obviously know coming in here that it’s not going to be a regular restaurant or expect whatever service so I don’t understand why you guys are comparing it to places that actually give you service. It’s obvious that all of their locations don’t seek to serve. Their theme is just to give cheap meals for all you cheap people out there(including myself). Seriously. everything is so cheap here how could it be 5 star food –__– Anyways, I usually get the buy 2 get 1 sandwichess… I usually get the #1, BBQ chicken or BBQ Pork. Food wise, Yang Chow fried rice, my boyf gets the chicken phở, and my mom gets the XO fried rice. Overall this place is a good spot if you just need some goodies on the go! They have lots of stuff to choose from when you enter!

Not the best sandwiches(as compared to other Che Cali Locations), and they didn’t include cilantro in any of my sandwiches. The sandwich choices are good but different locations have more variety. Service was sub par, even for an Asian restaurant.

Dropped by for quick Banh Mi. It was hard to eat. Bread was not soft. Meat was real salty. Truly a rare time where I had to force myself to finish. The first to last bite was dreadful. I would suggest getting the other quick bites, cheap drinks, cheap prep meals, which are good deals and taste better. Since this place is a Banh Mi spot, I have to say it is below average.

What an interesting experience for my first time at Banh Mi Che Cali! I wandered in here yesterday wondering what I wanted for lunch. The front counter was filled with bunch of goodies, most of which were prepackaged cold noodles with meat plates. Like the avid Unilocaler I am, I attempted to take a picture of their beautiful counter. Immediately, one of the old ladies yell at me, «NOPICTURES». I proceeded to buy one of the rice noodle plates, that came with pork, shrimp and vegetables. ITWASONLY $ 4! Even though it wasn’t made super fresh, it tasted really good. After I paid for my to-go order, another lady was putting my food in a plastic bag. I said, «I don’t need that bag, i’ll take it like that». She yells back at me, «You have to take the bag, you paid for it already!» Customer Interaction definitely is on the sour end of the spectrum. But their four dollar lunch plates and $ 3.99 Phở Ga will keep me coming back for more.

What a lifesaver! On thanksgiving day I had called three other locations to order banh cuon(vietnamese steamed rice rolls), but they were so backed up with orders that they weren’t able to fulfill my order. Luckily this location was able to do the job within the time frame needed to save thanksgiving! I ordered five pounds worth of banh cuon and my cousins finished them all. This place is most popular for its banh mi of course but they also have drinks, desserts, baked goods, and other vietnamese dishes(phở, vermicelli, other noodle soups, curry, beef stew, etc.) They have a large parking lot in the back and a lot of spaces. You can either take your stuff to go or you can seat inside if you wish to dine-in. This location isn’t as busy as the other locations so stop by here if you’re in a rush.

Beware. Want water? It’ll cost you a Quarter. Otherwise this is my cheap eats favorite place. To eat in or to go, there are tons of different dishes and sandwiches to be had. Lots of Phở and fried noodle dishes to choose from eating in. Most are not more than $ 7. Such a good deal. Speaking of deals? Buy-one-get-one-free in the Milk tea department, @ $ 2.75 for two, you cannot go wrong. To go? Check the counter, there will be a few dozen choices of sandwiches starting at $ 1.39, to ¼ chicken, with rice, with noodles, etc etc. $ 3.00! They have baguette sandwiches, but two get one free — most are in the $ 3.00 range. The service here is meh, the english speaking is meh, but you can get by with the menu or just using your judgement. Nothing too strange here, just jump in and enjoy the savings!
