I really like this Denny’s. It is the second time I have been, both during holiday weekends when it has been insanely crowded. They really manage to move people in and out of this tiny Denny’s(it is like half the size of other’s I have seen) quickly. Even when the wait looks insane, we’ve been seated relatively quickly. Food is good. The service was good. This particular Denny’s still retains that old diner feel that I remember from when I was a kid. This place is consistent. Nothing exciting, but when you choose Denny’s you are looking for consistent, and this is it.

Don’t waste your time, cuz they’re definitely not spending their time on you. Quarter full late night, 20 open tables, server just keeps on cleaning booths until I seat myself at bar. After 10 minutes and no interaction, I left.

Why did Denny’s discontinue lemon pepper tilapia on their menu? Weird because it’s on the online menu but when I call the restaurant its discontinued???

This place is a joke first I call in my order they say it will be 10 minutes then I arrive tell them I called in an order proceed to wait another 10 minutes then am told they do not have my order. Next I physically give them my order then 5 minutes later I’m told they can not make my food without beans on it which makes no sense so they get a manager who can’t even speak to me in English which is the same person who took my order in the first place. So I decided to walk out a d not order because horrible service I do not know the lady’s name but she works nights behind the desk is very rude. Let’s not forget there is 5 drunk ppl drooling passed out at the bar seating and not one employee is aware of this. By far worst Dennys in America do not waste ur time.

Don’t bother ordering over the phone. Cris speaks HORRIBLE English. Messed up my order because of it. Clearly, he can’t understand English either. Don’t bother with this location at all.

I would give this a negative rating if I could… we were seated and not acknowledged in any way by any staff for 20 mins so we left.

I only come here when it’s convenient. I don’t even really like this dennys. Theres ALWAYS something wrong with my order. After I called to make my order I arrived about 15 minutes later expecting my food to be ready. I walk in, there’s LITERALLY only 3 people in there. And guess what my food is STILL not ready, so I wait almost 10 more minutes. Finally my order comes up but instead of telling me there was going to be a slight change in my order before they made it they tell me after it was already done. I couldn’t even get a discount or my money back because apparently there was no manager on sight. Smh! Save your money, drive the extra mile to the other dennys. They actually care more about their customers rather than this place does & it’s cleaner & nicer looking… Oh yeah and there’s ALWAYS a manager on site incase something goes wrong. Ripped off

Wow. Usually Denny’s is pretty basic and solid. Hard to go wrong. Took family here. Thought the waitress was going to die. Sweating all over the place. In February. Just say no to drugs. Ordered breakfast for dinner. Requested over easy. Got over hard. Silverware had nasty paper stuck to it. Like old straw wrapper went through dishwasher and suck to it. Ordered soup. It showed up and had floating bubbles on top. Rainbow color. And going down side of bowl. Waitress took back to kitchen and cook told her it was supposed to be like that. huh!!! what ingredient in kitchen makes chicken noodle soup have rainbow bubbles floating in it. Kids wouldn’t eat their dinner said it wasn’t good. When leaving. Bathroom was disgusting. No details needed. Prep station out front was s mess. And they weren’t busy. I know why. Two thumbs down to manager and staff

If you’re drunk and disorderly, what better way to spend the evening with your tired and crying children?! The server hates you, and everyone seems uncomfortable now. Expected so much more from a place that offers a four dollar menu, and I will take my my four dollars somewhere else. I’ve had better service from stinky aggressive men trying to hustle me into buying sports game tickets. It’s like… I’m wearing the jersey going to the game and not making eye contact with you, I clearly am not interested in the tickets you are selling. Don’t look at my date like that. You know what, when you think about it I actually like Denny’s better than those guys. 5 Stars.

Excellent burgers, In general any Denny’s you go to are going to have real burgers freshly pressed juicy flavorful delicious burgers. The orange juice needs some work, it was pulp less and tasted like chemicals. Hopefully they will change that and give an option for pulp. The décor on the a few walls were odd it looked like the surface of a giant pecan pie except for the monochrome light brown Shiny paint. There was a giant framed picture with a 2 piece Denny’s sign literally printed, cut and pasted on to an old picture. I recommend Denny’s Hamburgers and Cheeseburgers. All of Denny’s Hamburgers and cheeseburgers have a proper lean to fat ratio which creates juicy and flavorful burgers. If you choose to eat a Double Cheeseburger I advise that you eat whatever else is on the plate first for it may get soaked in the fat because you may have to squeeze the burger to fit your mouth.

Ordered TBone steak and eggs, the waitress never came over to check on us when we wanted refills for our drinks she asked when we were basically done with our food and I ordered my steak medium and it was over cooked and tough also my toast was drenched in butter and soggy.

They are slammed on the weekends so it’s no wonder they have a hard time keeping up. But for a Denny’s it a good one. If you want a cheap meal near Monterey than you will be happy you came.

Great service and actually fast for a really busy Denny’s. Got here around 10:30 ish and placed my order within 7 mins and got my take out and left around 10:50. The lady who took our order was a doll! Really nice talkative and gave us the good water not the crappy Monterey dirt water lol! Overall super happy with this late night experience

I asked for the free breakfast for birthdays which was the grand slam and it was awful. I asked for a decaf coffee and it never give to me. The customer near me was given her coffee, but not me. The manager and the waiter was not nice. I was going to leave a tip, but they did not deserve it.

I need to stop going to this Dennys, ordered food togo again yesterday asked for a quesadilla with only chicken and cheese with an ex side of sour cream and pico and an order of cheese sticks. Got a chicken sausage quesadilla with no sour cream or pico. I can’t eat pork but at least they didn’t mess up my cheese sticks…

Denny’s… is always a last resort. And this one is the last on the list for sure. Went here with my girlfriend. I got the waffle slam. The waffle looked like a frozen eggo waffle, and the rest of the slam was so small, the bacon was undercooked, and last but not least… the waiter handed us extra napkins(thought he was being helpful) but he handed us dirty napkins. What the F? Ill be going to Black Bear instead from now on.

SLOWANDRUDE. Do not eat here, it’s not worth your(considerable amount of) time! We were seated right away, but it took 10 minutes for a server to bother coming to take our order for food and ask if we wanted drinks. There was maybe 7 other tables full. No apology for the wait, just«what can I get you?». 15 minutes after that they finally brought the 2 sodas we had ordered. 45 minutes after being seated, I began writing this review, and as of then, no food in sight. I eat regularly at several of the Denny’s in my home town, and rarely have any issues. I have never had worse service anywhere else, ever. Do not make the mistake I did, and go here just because it’s close to the hotel for a quick and easy meal. Next time I’ll find a place that bothers to care if you are there or not.

Dennys are generally a place I avoid eating at. To be blunt… ***I’m going to be graphic here, so for those with weak constitutions, skip this part and jump down to the next set of asterisks! Whenever I eat at Denny’s restaurants… and its been many times over the years… my first bite of food is usually on an express train OUT of my body BEFORE the last bite of food is on the way in! Nope… I am not kidding… and my Son and Ex wife experience the same thing. To be fair, its not that the food is unsafely prepared or the restaurants are filthy… just something about… well…I’ve no clue, it eludes me. Moving on! ***So, this particular Denny’s is one where the above mentioned issues haven’t struck me… not once, so far! The servers here are a bit«hit or miss» in terms of how good the service is but none have ever been rude… just disinterested. Most of the menu is basic Denny’s…this is not the place to get a steak… or pasta… most of those menu items are mediocre at best. Here’s what I’ve found to be good… if not great… their burgers! This Denny’s has some very good burgers. The patties seem to be good quality ground beef hand pressed and come out a good size. I used to order the double… but even with my huge appetite, it would stuff me. The buns they use are tasty, if a bit soft and can fall apart if you take too long to eat your burger. which is no problem for me. I recommend their breakfast burger which has a fried egg on it and hash browns! Another thing good at this Denny’s are their skillet meals off the specialty menu. This is their menu that has seasonal items, like for October and Thanksgiving they had a lot of pumpkin themed items… or when the Hobbit movies came out they had a Hobbit themed menu.(Which, by the way, was awesome! They had one Hobbit skillet dish that had potatoes, and cheeses, eggs, etc… yadda yadda… but included this huge chicken and apple sausage! I don’t know where Denny’s gets these sausages… but they are very delicious and if you see anything on any of their menus with it… order it!) Anyway, can’t go wrong off their special menu. Again I’m only endorsing THIS Denny’s…because the one just a couple miles away, or in this geographical area, is like the others where I have the same issue as described at top.

An outdated review but I still remember. It’s pretty average, nothing good, nothing bad. A solid choice for Christmas Eve dinner when all restaurants are jam packed and you don’t have a choice where to go. I remember there was a LOTR promotion and the Mordor beef stew was decent.
