Johnny Rockets

Never had a waitress argue with me over her screwing up my order. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and she brought me crispy. Having Celiac for 10 years, of course I don’t order crispy. She argued saying that I said crispy and that «there’s a lot going on in the kitchen so it’ll be awhile unless You will just take the crispy.». I told her «well I ordered grilled because I cannot eat the crispy». My boyfriends mother complained to the manager, who did his best to rectify the situation. Our friend’s patty melt didn’t have cheese on one side and it wasn’t melted at all. Another got fries when she didn’t order them. So obviously, she screwed up half the order but didn’t want to admit it for whatever reason. I’m a non confrontational person so it made the whole experience very uncomfortable.

Service was good. Food was just okay. My burger was dry and black. Left on the grill way too long.

Every time we come to Monterey we make sure to come here for our favorite server Jason. He’s super funny and just has the most wonderful attitude, sings and does voice impersonations. 5 starts, awesome food and the best service by far.

Great staff and great food here! On a Friday afternoon on Cannery Row, they weren’t too busy, and we were immediately greeted and sat. My husbands burger, as well as my own, were delicious, and service was fast and friendly. Compared to a visit at another location in New York, this one was phenomenal. The only thing I would count against the store is that a lot of the booth seats have tears and wear on them, but everything otherwise seemed to be clean and inviting. As we only live a few blocks away from Cannery Row (though are a bit put off of the general prices of places on it), I see us returning here many times before our stay in Monterey is over!

my expectations were high, because johnny rockets in sacramento at arden fair mall rocks.
i visited the cannery row location on tuesday night. tables were empty, the place was clean, and the young gal behind the counter — a recent high school graduate — was friendly and helpful. i asked for no onions on our burgers, and large fries for my excellent rock star wife and i to share. a very short time later, i received my bag of goodies, and walked a short distance to the hotel, but when i unwrapped the food, the burgers were lukewarm and contained large onions. my bacon cheeseburger had no cheese. the large order of fries i ordered fit into the palm of my excellent rock star wife’s hand. my apple shake was good, but i paid $ 27. a high price for wrong, small, lukewarm…
not going back.

Had late lunch here a couple of weeks ago while visiting the Monterey Aquarium and had excellent service. Amber was our waitress and she did an exceptional job as a server. Made us feel very comfortable and she had a awesome sense of humor. Greatest waitress I’ve encountered in a good long while. I recommend asking for her when you come dine in this location.

First time at a Johnny Rockets, twas an interesting experience. Server was super friendly, our order came with bottomless fries though we didn’t finish our first helping. As someone visiting from Texas, I had to rep Houston burger. It was just okay. My root beer float was delightful however. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and service. The actual burgers, while big, were a bit bland and a bit too pricey for my tastes. I would still drop by this specific Johnny Rockets if I find myself back here

Skye was the best waitress ever, very good service and very kind. Amazing food. I got the bacon cheddar burger and it was fantastic.

We came to Monterey for the aquarium, but our lunch at Johnny Rockets was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was great and our server, Jason, was a delight. He went out of his way to cater to our son, Max, and made this a wonderful dining experience.

Great Service! Amy our server was great! She remembered our orders & made our dining experience spectacular as usual!

great location plus good food, me and my family stopped here after visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium, you cant go wrong with a burger restaurant located near a beach, me & my wife each ordered a single patty Teriyaki burger w/​pineapple & it was delicious! the kids ordered chicken strips & a chili dog
everyone enjoyed their meals we all were good & full, the only knock was the customer service, had to get up and ask someone to refill our drinks and after we were done we sat there for someone to bring the check but they didn’t so I had to get up again and go ask for it, the restaurant isnt that big and it wasn’t crowded so I really dont understand how we went unnoticed for refills & the check
still all in all the food was awesome and the atmosphere in Monterey was nice we really enjoyed our trip, will definitely stop by again next time we visit

My husband and I were at Johnny Rockets the weekend of October 17^th~
Stopped in and requested a patio seat outside, as it was a lovely evening outside, and the scenery was outstanding! Our little waitress, Amber, was fabulous, kind and had a top notch personality. A+ customer service… her manager should be very proud. We ordered dessert and enjoyed ourselves very much!

This restaurant is so good and fun to go to. Jason was very charismatic and was fun to watch. Alfonso was our waiter. He took good care of us.
The only thing I would change would be 50 & 60’s music on the jukebox for FREE.

Was visiting Monterey for a couple of days. The waiters were extremely friendly, accommodating, and entertaining. Our waiter, Jason, was really funny and even made us a little family portrait with ketchup. We sat outside and one of the workers was nice enough to light the heating lamps for us. Within walking distance of the Aquarium of the Pacific. Would definitively eat here again when visiting Monterey.

I’m only giving this place one star because of my milkshake. But we went to this place today for my birthday and we were greeted nicely and Jason was an excellent waiter. BUT we seriously sat at the restaurant waiting for our food one hour. The lady came to us and was like omg your ticket didn’t print. (But for some reason our ticket printed for our shakes) …
Anyways I wish I could of had a burger but the waitress that was originally serving us needs to make sure that she doesn’t get super distracted when it’s busy. Even when she found out our order didn’t go through she didn’t seem like she cared. Never again.

Whoa! After the first bite my response was «Why haven’t we eaten here before?» Everything was perfect; burger, fries and a Vanilla milk shake that almost made me cry.
It is a blast from my past. Anyone can fake the good old days. These guys get it right. The taste of that shake was exactly how I remember it from my youth down to the metal mixing cup with the overflow.
What a treat. I can’t wait to go back. My recommendation is to stick with the basics; burger, fries and a shake. It’s what they do best.

Very clean restaurant, friendly staff. The burgers were pretty good. Nothing special. I think it is a rip that they charge 50 cents to play a song. The jukebox os just for display.

This particular Johnny Rockets deserves more than 5 stars! The staff is over-​the-​top friendly and so much fun! We came here for lunch on my mom’s birthday because we were hungry and we knew we liked Johnny Rockets and it was right there. We didn’t expect anything special except good food. Well, we were wrong! Immediately, we were greeted by a friendly man that sat us at our table and was cracking jokes right away. He was hilarious! They have those things at your table where you can slide your credit card and order appetizers and drinks, and even play games. It was fun to use! Our server Amy promptly came over and took our orders. My mother was wearing the «It’s my birthday» pin from the Aquarium and Amy asked if my mother would like a complimentary sundae after we were finished eating. Of course my mother wanted one! After a delicious meal, Amy and some other staff brought over my mothers sundae and yelled a big «HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JULIE!» to her! It was so sweet :) We really enjoyed being here, mainly because the staff was just so awesome. I really recommend that you come to this particular Johnny Rockets if you are ever in the area.

Burgers for breakfast??? Sure why not.
Not even 5 minutes ad gone bye before we all started to crave the burgers from Johnny Rockets. The place was packed at 11am.
We had been to other ;locations that Johnny Rockets have to offer but have fond that we liked this one the most. The service was terrific The staff was dancing and rocking N rolling to the music being played.
Everybody working there was smiling and very polite. WINNER !!!
It may be one of the worst jobs to have but these waiters were super cool/​
The Burgers were cooked to perfection and I cannot ask for anything else bu a burger that meets the need from my Stomach.
The waitress was very but very polite and is a very hard worker. She earned the 20% tip and we were all very happy.
