Quality Inn

Clean, older but not completely dated, lots of space. Provided a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Could be closer to the warf but not too far that you can’t get to food/​attractions within a short drive. Decent price, close parking with plenty of spots. The only real issue I had with the room was the door. It didn’t completely latch every time we shut it. Sometimes we would have to open and shut the door 5 or more times before it would latch, which made me a little uncomfortable when we would leave.

We had multiple issues with this room. We stayed here in September. When we arrived we said we had 2 Vehicles and were told that it wasn’t allowed. Mind you we booked a room with 2 beds and informed them we had 4 adults and a baby. When we asked the manager she said it was on there website (it’s not). When we get in the room it was so hot and had no ac, the sheets felt wet from the humidity. Ok no ac no big deal, I go to open the window and find the screen popped halfway out like someone tried to break in. So now there’s no ac, I can’t open the window and I’ve got a 3 month old baby with me that I have no way of cooling down. Then I couldn’t sleep due to the heat and fear of my son’s safety. They did try to fix the problem by bringing us a fan at midnight, in doing so woke everyone up. The manager allowed us to check out the next day but nothing more. We still had to pay over $ 300 for a terrible room.

Stayed here fri sat night in July. Decent price for the weekend. Clean. Front desk staff efficent and quick. Room came with a fridge and full coffeepot.
Downsides: king bed was hard, im 5’8 and my feet hung over so definitely not for tall people hence my 6’2 husband. No airconditioner thats ok its monterey but nooo air movement in the room at all. Suggestion would be to get a fan. We went to Target and bought one, after that so much better. This hotel is very close to the airport so starting at 6am be prepared to here jets every ½hr. I would not stay here again based on that.

We paid $ 89 for a special online deal through Expedia, and we got exactly what we wanted! It’s an inexpensive room, comes with a decent selection of breakfast foods in the morning and the employees are positive and helpful! I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for an inexpensive option.

I would give them less than 1 star but that’s the only way I could leave a review. This place totally sucked the people above us acted like they were herd of elephants management did not give a s***! I’ve stayed at many quality inns this is the WORST!

This place is older but well maintained. we moved here after the travel lodge was so gross. they accept pets which we needed. staff was efficient. small pool. nice outdoor sitting areas. easy parking. couple restaurants nearby as well as CVS right down the street.

I’m very surprised at so many of these negative reviews. My boyfriend and our friends came to Monterey for Valentine’s Day weekend and already had a hotel booked but long story short when we arrived to our already booked hotel they cancelled on us. So we ran around Monterey trying to find a hotel with an empty room. That weekend was also the weekend of some weekend golf tournament thing… so needless to say EVERYWHERE was booked and if not they were charging rooms for 200+.
While literally running up and down N. Fremont which is the hotel street of Monterey, we came across the Quality Inn that was offering a double bed room for 140+tax. Even though it is a bit pricey than usual, take into consideration again, it was a Saturday, the night before Valentine’s Day and the weekend of a golf tournament.
The staff at the front desk were very nice and patient with us while we sat in the lobby to call our friends to discuss it with them and trying to find a cheaper place to stay. We ended up booking the room and staying the night.
The room was a lot better than I expected it to be. The sheets were clean, plenty of towels and the staff were super friendly about bringing us extra sheets and pillows and fixing the shower head (which was not working before we arrived).
Bottom Line: I would stay here again and I would recommend others to. The staff was friendly and helpful and made our check in and check out fast and easy. Plus their Wifi is pretty fast compared to other Inns I have been to! Amazing for an Inn!

We went on road trip and brought a DESK FAN and glad we did. It will get HOT IN ROOM. Continental breakfast was the best of any other advertised. My kids loved the breakfast. Rooms were clean as can be.

No record of our confirmed reservation upon arrival. Rented last room to people off the street, while we were standing there. Would not let my mother in law use the bathroom while they tried to figure out the reservation error
