I am a musician by training, so thinking with an athletic mind is not something I thought was in my wheelhouse. Center-Fit has changed all that. Take one look at me and you wouldn’t think, «Wow! Where does she work out? I need to go there!» and that’s okay. Because what I want to be is fit, as in strong and heathy. Center-Fit has the individual in mind, and all of the owners make you feel strong and capable, which is half the battle, I believe. Steve and Tori, the former owners, made me feel competent to take on the challenge of healthful living with an athletic mindset. New owner, Beth Kolar, has helped me be strong and thoughtful about my body and its work. Beth is honest and intelligent, a confident trainer and teacher, as well as a savvy businesswoman. Her staff is equal in skill and personality. Center-Fit is a place I feel challenged and uplifted and ATHLETIC!(Never thought I would say that about me!)

This place is great. Once you start going you will realize that going to a traditional gym with machines and mirrors and blah blah blah is a waste of money and you are just paying to move your fat around. If you want results come here.

Steve is the best Kettlebell trainer in the Montgomery/Oswego/Aurora/Naperville area. His knowledge of the body and movement has helped me greatly improve my mobility and overall strength. I highly recommend Center-Fit to anyone who is serious about getting in shape with kettlebells, and doing it safely.

Center-Fit, owned by Steve and Tori Bradford, is an excellent place to work on one’s health. I have lost a great deal of weight in the seven and a half months I have been going to their facility. They have many extras beyond exercise available to people. There are periodic juicing classes, cooking classes, couple massage classes, etc.

There are several things on my list of «I don’t do’s» I don’t eat cherry-flavored gummy bears I don’t wear sandals with socks I don’t run unless I’m being chased(and even then, I’d rather hide) and I don’t work out Cue Weight Watchers, Groupon, and Center Fit, where *shocker* I found something awesome. As a WW member, it’s been a while since I’ve really needed to start working out, but it’s pretty tough. Even the Wii Fit hurts my bod – thank you to years of cheerleading and injuries for my arthritis and loosey goosey ligaments/tendons(yes, that IS the technical term that the orthopedic surgeon provided me with). So I watch Groupon for fitness deals, because I’m a deal hound like that. One day, I see a deal for True Health Studio. «Hmmm» I say to myself… let’s see, shall we? Zumba? Fun! Kettlebells? COOL! Sledge hammers and giant tires? HELLYES! But wait… I can’t do any of that… It will hurt. *sad face* Restoring movement? Now we’re talking. Two weeks in and I’m hooked. Steve runs the class as a group personal training, where routines are personalized for each individual in a small group setting. His knowledge of the body and how we move is phenomenal. Rock. On. No pain, no gain? Not in this class. The goal is not to push too far, but to go just far enough to move more the next day. After day one, I was still a little sore, but I wasn’t in pain and I was excited to return. I leave each session with a smile on my face knowing that my body is getting stronger and that one day I WILL get to play with sledge hammers and kettlebells.
