The Home Detective

As a first-​time homebuyer, I barely know anything about where to inspect a townhouse! It was good to have Rob with me to go through the process. He is a responsible, patient, knowledgeable, and thorough home inspector, that I would definitely recommend to my friends or families who need to purchase a house. He spent more than three hours in a two-​story townhouse with walk-​in basement. He walked through each room with me, including the attic, explaining what needs to be fixed as well as giving me suggestions on how to maintain the house in the future. His report is detailed with support of pictures taken at the site. I would say having his report makes it easier to talk to the seller.

Robert was recommended to us through another inspection company, and I couldn’t be happier. I agree with the previous reviewers; Robert was incredibly thorough and meticulous in his inspection. I would recommend Robert to anybody doing a home inspection and will be using him in the future!

Our realtor recommended Robert for the inspection for our first home, and he was excellent. His attention to detail is extremely valuable throughout the inspection process, and his report was thorough and well-​documented.
During the inspection Robert helped to prioritize the issues that arose and identify potential problems down the road. He gave very useful advice for keeping our home in tiptop shape, and preventing major problems. He also made recommendations specific to our home, not just general tips, for keeping our utility costs in line.
Robert’s services are competitively, and frankly, underpriced for the level of attention he gives and time he spends with your home. I can’t recommend Robert highly enough, and wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again in the future.

Several contractors recommended that I contact Robert to do my home inspection. He was very friendly and thorough. He took almost three hours to check out all the nooks and crannies of the home and had a lot of helpful hints for a first time home buyer.
My favorite thing about working with Robert is that he put things in perspective. He did not blow problems out of proportion and he did not brush potential concerns under the rug. I highly recommend working with him.

Used Robert to inspect our new home in Olney MD a couple weeks ago. He was very thorough, offered maintenance tips/​tricks, advice on things having nothing to do with his actual home inspection (but other things in the house), and generally was very professional/​knowledgeable about home upkeep and repair.
Very friendly, easy to get along with. Robert has lot of drive to get things done, but in a thorough detail oriented way. Explained things as he went along in the inspection process and spent roughly 4 hours in my house.
He also brought a ladder and got on the roof and looked around. Most people only look from the ground with binoculars now days, but Robert got up there and was able to find a couple issues that would have been difficult to see from the ground. Provided a comprehensive report of his findings that was easy to read, detailed and provided clear recommendations on what to fix and why.
Overall, Robert is detail oriented, client serving, and very knowledgeable. I would recommend working with him to other home buyers.
