Great local food, excellent coffee, good selection of sweet and savory choices to please all picky eaters in a family. Perfect for breakfast/brunch.

This is one of my favorite places for a quick lunch or dinner. I am vegetarian and gluten-free, and they have several options for me. I really like the veggie monster on a buckwheat crêpe. It has lots of vegetables, yummy pesto, and cheese. It comes with salad on the side which I also really like. If you are in the mood for french fries, the fries are really good here too. The service is quick, and sometimes there is live music too! I recommend this restaurant.

Vegan-friendly food with local ingredients & love. I always get the Vegan Monster with mushrooms($ 1 extra), plus sweet potato fries done extra-extra-crispy. Yum. They’re open all kinds of days and hours. When something goes not quite right, as can happen anywhere, they care enough to make it right. I only wish there were more vegan selections and more vegetable-intensive(less starchy) dishes for me to choose from — of course, it is a crêperie!

Food is very good but there is not enough seating. Most of our group sat while others stood in line to place order but they were asked by staff to leave the table until we had our food ready. Part of the dining experience is interacting socially but I guess here you can only do that while eating not before and no after fining chatter. Eat and leave. For this reason I would not return. Too many other good options in town where you can appreciate the entire dining experience and they also have good food

Cute, bohemian place right in downtown Montpelier. We’ve come here twice while driving through Vermont for poutine and crepes. Interesting, healthy, often local food. We’ve been here for lunch and for dinner, and both times all of the tables were full, but we were able to sit down by the time our food was ready. They also have live music here some nights, which is cool. I would recommend it for lunch if you’re in the area.

YUM!!! Early enough on Sunday to get a seat. The coffee was fresh and hot. The eggs Benedict was innovative for traditional and paired with mixed green salad, all was well balanced and filling. Yum yum yum!

Decent eatery but not worth it for what they charge… What they have going for them: — décor/atmosphere — good downtown location — food is fresh What they have going against them: — price, $ 13 for crêpe? — long hike for the bathrooms Typical hipsteresque eatery, charge more simple for providing fresh food with a twist. It’s not bad but the prices on the some of the items seem a lil high.

We stopped here on our way from Burlington to Portland and were so glad we did! We split the sliders, a breakfast monster and skinny fries. No wonder the fries almost won best in Vermont. Everything was delicious and the coffee exceptional.

Honestly, not very good. Got the vegan monster and a lemon crêpe. The flavor in the vegan monster was okay but I don’t know, just sort of spicy mush. The lemon crêpe was pathetic :/And everything was really expensive. It wasn’t the worst but I would absolutely not recommend or come back. Disappointed because I was excited to see vegan options.

When we first came in, we were not so sure that we hadn’t made a mistake. The order counter was very disorganized and it took a while for us to get our order in. However once that was done, the food came very promptly and it was absolutely delicious. It was well worth it. I had the brie and apple crêpe and would come back here several times a month if I lived in this town.

There’s plenty a-crêpe-ing to do at the Skinny Pancake! Tremendous selection of breakfast crepes running the gamut from savory to sweet. I picked one featuring the staple Vermont ingredients — apples, honey, cinnamon sugar and whipped cream and was not disappointed! While the menu itself was pretty impressive, that didn’t quite pass along to my opinion of the interior — sharing crepes with a bunch of flies hovering on the table isn’t quite pleasant and the interior is very cramped and a bit disorganized. Might be inclined to pick up a crêpe to go from here rather than linger but overall this place presents a good breakfast option.

Stopped into Montpelier on the way to Montréal for lunch, and stumbled into the skinny pancake due to its high ratings on Unilocal. They were spot on — excellent fresh foods all placed in crepes, or a panini. Perfect portion sizes and a reasonable price. I had the«Blues for Breakfast» which was cheddar, ham and blue cheese in a crêpe. The ham was delicious — not cold cuts. The small salad greens on the side were excellent because of the dressing. Certainly recommended.

A quick search on Unilocal in the Montpelier area brought us to The Skinny Pancake for a roadtrip lunch. I wasn’t feeling great, so I opted for the Lemon Classic crêpe. It was light and airy and completely fulfilled my sweet craving without a sugar bomb in my mouth. My boyfriend had The Lumberjack(ham and cheese crêpe) and he also loved it. Service was slow for two crepes on a not-so-busy Sunday afternoon. The prices were great, though.

Really great spot in downtown Montpelier! You order and pay at the counter first and then find a table, they’ll bring the food to you and take your plates away. The people there are so nice and patient(which is helpful because you’ll need a lot of time to look over the whole menu). I got the Breakfast Monster which was very filling and came with a nice little side salad. But I think the best part was the side of sweet potato fries we got. The person at the cashier recommended we get the pesto mayo as a dipping sauce which ended up being super good. If possible, definitely try and grab a seat in their outdoor dining area. Must visit!

omg YES Lunch here was incredible — I loved my chicken/cranberry/spinach/cheese crêpe! The crêpe tasted so fresh, and was huge but I couldn’t stop eating! It was lovely to sit outdoors on their patio, too.

A big menu with lots of crêpe choices, a good beer selection, all for decent prices. I’m assuming the ingredients are high quality too. As for the crepes, they weren’t bad. A bit thicker than I’m used to, closer to a pancake, but I definitely enjoyed my breakfast crêpe(already forget which one I ordered) as a lunch. Who doesn’t want breakfast all day anyway?! In other words, if you’re looking for crepes, stop by. It’ll be worth the visit.

Wow! What a disappointment this location is to the Skinny Pancake brand! As a Burlington native, quite familiar with their waterfront, church street, and even airport locations, I convinced my mother this would be well worth the stop. Boy, was I wrong. Now, I’m no mathematician but I’m pretty sure that if crepes are quick enough to make to open up a location at the airport, it shouldn’t take very long to receive them, right? Wrong! We waited over 50 minutes from when we placed our order to when it arrived. This location took 5 times as long as their other locations. If I were the owner of a restaurant running those type of ticket times, I would be utterly ashamed! But, the fun has only just begun. My crêpe sat under a heat lamp so long that the whipped cream melted and the crêpe came out more like burnt pita bread. I could literally crack it into two halves. They skimped on the Nutella and Strawberries. And my Mother enjoyed mostly cranberry sauce in her crêpe, with minimal Bree and bland, out of season apples. Of course hers too also came wrapped in a burnt crêpe. Why try something if you’re not going to give it a serious shot? Now, where are the 5 staff members in all this you may ask? Just chilling behind the counter, with 1 person taking orders, another cooking, and the remaining 3 taking turns running plates and prepping silverware. Where was the hospitality to greet guests and offer to help them find a spare seat? Or open up the second register? Or hop behind the line and help move some orders through? At the very least, I should have received an apology from my food was finally delivered or even just some simple recognition of the time I waited. I’d still like to say I’m a believer in the skinny pancake franchise, but after this visit, I’ll be waiting a while before daring to trust this brand again!

We decided to visit Montpelier as a part of trying to get to all fifty states(with Capitals as a bonus!) so we went without really making plans for any particular restaurant. We parked down by the Capital and started walking with our dog. We realized pretty quickly that many restaurants in Montpelier(at least downtown) didn’t want our lab mix outside on their patio, citing«health codes». I went in to The Quirky Pet to ask if there were any restaurants in the area that allowed dogs on the patio. The owner suggested«The Skinny Pancake», as she had seen dogs there before. I was so excited to find a place that would accommodate our dog that we didn’t really know what they served.(We were hungry!) So it was a plus that this place had excellent food! I did not know that crepes could be used to make delicious hot sandwich style food. My husband got the greek-style lamb with feta and tzadziki and, to make up for him eating lamb, I got the locally sourced vegetarian-spinach, red peppers and caramelized onions with added mushrooms. :) It was not only the perfect temperature, but the veggies were cooked exactly right. We also split a dessert crêpe with Nutella, bananas, strawberries and whipped cream. I love that they used locally-sourced food as much as possible and were very creative in the use of crepes. Five stars!

Inventive crepes of every kind with delicious local ingredients. Deja Vu was delightful. Sausage, apples, fennel, cheese. Yum! Lamb was outstanding with feta and tzadziki Kids had sweet crepes with Nutella, bananas and strawberries. One crêpe each was just the right amount to hit the spot. Not a huge place so better for parties of 4 or smaller. Great location right in adorable downtown area. I’m detouring through Montpelier just to hit this place again.

Serious crepes my friends! VERYVT, left wingish, new agey, tree hugn, berkensokn approach to food — you can spell and pronounce everything in your meal. Served with down-to-earth human spirit, food is good for your body, and the good vibrations GREAT for your soul. And if you know beer… they serve Heady Topper! They pride themselves in serving meals created with local sources, only the best makes it — like locally made lamb sausage, Morse Farms Decadent MAPLESYRUP. I went with a veggy crêpe, and the hub went with the lamb and feta deliciousness. Sonny boy had«pizza in a crêpe»(their calzone) AND a traditional, just because he felt like having a maple syrup drenched basic crêpe. DELICIOUS! Pay at the counter and sit yourself, the local is small, friendly and clean. Couldn’t ask for more!(Ok, I could, another stomach and no dieting, so I could indulge in one of their dessert offerings! Something with chocolate, strawberries, bananas and a whopping dose of whipped cream!)
