Top 10 reasons Descanso Electrolysis is the best:
1. professional/​reputable
2. experienced
3. affordable
4. accommodating
5. clean, hygienic facility
6. mindful of nervousness, pain (use numbing cream… it makes all the difference).
Her number one concern is making certain you are comfortable.
7. respectful
8. honest — will NEVER try to «sell» new areas to focus on that you do not ask for.
She is quite reluctant to offer her opinion… if you don’t have an issue, she is definitely not going to create one.
9. convenient location & plenty of parking
10. most important… she’s funny and incredibly easy to talk to
I know all these reasons to be true because I spend 2 hours/​visit, twice a month.
After a year of we still have so much to talk about.

Judee was extremely nice. We spoke to her for over an hr about different things and issues. She was honest and upfront about certain things. She was cool. Not trying to sell us. I can understand why she has a 5 star rating with everyone being happy with her. She also informed us she uses the blend technique so it’s a mix of the 2 other kinds being used. She even said to us that there might be other people better then her to do certain areas.

Judee is terrific at what she does. She has a very gentle touch (I have found the pain/​discomfort to be quite minimal) and makes sure you are comfortable and understand what is going on. She is also a great conversationalist… the time just flies by! The office is very quiet and private with ample free parking. I have tried laser in addition to electrolysis, and the results for electrolysis are far superior. I would highly recommend electrolysis and recommend Judee specifically.

I was very nervous for my first appointment but was quickly put to ease by Judee. She really is a great person and does everything she can to make you comfortable. She is great at what’s she does and I highly recommend her, especially to other trans women preparing for srs.

Judee is very professional, great at what she does, and fun to talk to. Why did I not do electrolysis years ago instead of wasting time, money, and pain in laser, wax, and other methods? Laser is way more painful than electrolysis and is not permanent like electrolysis. I highly recommend Judee.

I Have only been to one other business for comparison. Plus I tried Laser Hair removal, 6 sessions VERY costly and NO results, all the hair came right back. Judee takes personal care to make sure you are comfortable and that you know everything that she is doing. Parking is great, free and close. Not gonna lie… electrolysis is a little painful, and it depends on the body part, but I’ve done upper lip/​mustache and chin and it was not bad at all. I’d like to eventually do my legs and armpits. Supposedly, you can use numbing creams. I have had NO problems with irritated skin after treatments. I’ve been going here for about 6 months and have been very happy with the results. I am excited… the thought of permanent hair removal… not having to shave/​wax/​tweeze anymore. No more being embarrassed about my face showing unwanted hairs! YAY!

If you want to permanently get rid of unwanted hair Descanso Electrolysis is the place for you! I was nervous at first because I really had no idea what electrolysis entails, but Judee was extremely helpful. She walked me through the whole process on what to expect, etc. For those who don’t know the difference between laser and electrolysis, here is the truth — Laser doesn’t get rid of hair permanently, electrolysis does! Thus, I don’t know why people spend money on getting laser when it is more wise to have electrolysis done.
For those who are a little more shy and embarrassed of getting unwanted hair removed, Judee’s office is in a quiet corner of the complex (very little foot traffic). =)
