Well this review is long overdue. I found this place through Unilocal and very glad I did. The location is nice and the owner is very sweet. I like the hair dye she uses because it lasts long and does not fade. There’s always nice upbeat music playing in her salon and the other customers are friendly as well.

Really good! Finally found a good an affordable place near home and I’ll be coming back for sure. Their washing stations don’t hurt you back if you’re tall like me, they also have no trouble understanding exactly what you want.

Knar is the best hair stylist! I always walk out with a big smile :-)

Let’s just start off with my little story of the evolution of my eyebrows. I’ve been going to the same place for about 4 years and I’m terrified of change. But today, I decided that I should try some place new. So I did and that place was house of beauty and let me tell you that it was one of the greatest decisions I’ve ever made. I have a problem with over plucking and experimenting with my eyebrows so there’s that. I walked in to friendly greetings from Knarik and was then proceeded to get my eyebrows done from sevana. Right of the bat, she told me the brutal but NEEDED truth about my messed up eyebrows– and her goal was to make it become amazing again. Somehow, she made my messed up eyebrows to almost at amazing eyebrows (will be completely amazing when I come back next month!). She gave me tips on what to do and that brutal honesty really motivated me to keep my eyebrows on point 24 – 7. And in order for me to keep that commitment, I will be coming back for Sevana’s amazing service. On top of her awe inspiring eyebrow threading, she helped me get over my fear of upper lip threading. To summarize it up, Sevana is beyond talented and possibly one of the best eyebrow laddddies in town. I will recommend her to everyone and recommend you to go to house of beauty for threading today! + for eyebrow and upper lip it’s only TWELVE dollars which is a truthfully, a steal. Also, I did get a small trim from Knarik who is absolutely amazing as well. She knows exactly what to do to please a customer. And at a decent price!
So yeah, overall I had an amazing first time experiment. Such an awesome place with great workers. I can’t wait to go again!

I have been here three times for different services. Two times for a hair cut and once for hair coloring and highlights. It’s always hard for me to find a new hairstylist because I want great service and great quality at a reasonable price. I think I have found a great combination at this hair salon. I prefer to make my appointments during weekdays to avoid busy times and have a more relaxed experience.
Knarik and Sevana are very friendly and talented. They make a great team and listen to the client’s concerns and requests. I’m very happy with my hair cut and highlights. It turned out just perfect!

Got a color, blow-​out, and pedicure here and they did a great job! They are very friendly and accomodating — made sure that I’m satisfied with everything before I left. Prices are reasonable too! If you’re looking for a one-​stop shop, this is place to go :-)

I called last minute to get my hair cut here (even though you’re not allowed to at this specific salon). However, the lady was really nice and still decided to give me one, even though her salon would be closing in 30 min.
I had called earlier and asked for the price, and she told me it was $ 20, but when I went to pay for it, she charged me $ 35, almost double of what I had been told would be the price.
She also asked if I wanted to keep the length, but she cut 2 – 3 inches shorter than the length that I had, even though she had specifically said she would keep the length. Also important to note was that I physically showed her a picture of what I wanted. She did not at all follow it. Something that also bothered me is that she styled it. It was kind of pointless because I wanted to know how it would look without any styling done to it. I guess it kind of showed on my face because she asked if I liked it. I told her that I usually didn’t style it, and she responded by telling me to style it everyday, which isn’t really practical for me. She told me it would take 10 minutes a day and that I would get used to it…
If you’re looking for a hair stylist who knows how to cut hair by instinct, come here, because she kind of disregarded the picture I gave to her. If you want something specific, don’t, she most likely won’t follow it. Even though your communication is clear, she might just cut it the way she feels is correct. Hair grows back though, right?
I would give this 3 ½ in all fairness.

I am a newer but returning customer because Sevana does such and excellent job at threading my eyebrows (with a great arch) and more recently, dyeing (and saving) my hair. I’m a huge fan and i will recommend her to anyone i know looking for a professional, kind, knowledgeable and fantastic stylist/​beautician. House of Beauty also offers competitive prices. I’ll be back soon!

When I first started going the owner charged me a very reasonable price for my services. Now EVER time I go back I get charged more and more. Good location and parking. Services are great, but I will not be going back due to over charging. I never have to wait because I always go during the week. I recommend this place, but I would ask how much for the services you need first before its a complete surprise when you’re finished!

I got my haircut today at House of Beauty Hair Salon for men and women in Montrose. Sevana cut my hair and she was very kind and did everything just right. I wear my hair longer and don’t typically have them use a shaver. She styled everything with the comb and scissors and it turned out great! All of this at a very reasonable price. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I love the hair cut they gave me and so did my brother! It is a bit pricy but overall I had a good time! :)

Awesome service! I come here regularly and I never have to wait. They’re great with color, blow-out’s and up do’s. Very friendly staff and always accommodating with my busy schedule. They’re really talented with all types of hair and always keeping up with new styles and trends.

Lovely hair stylist and very charming place. We didn’t go with an appointment and only waited about 10 min. My husband’s haircut was very cheap but the hair cut was great!

I’ve posted pictures of my new haircut and I love it! Knar trimmed, blow dryed, and styled my hair exactly how I wanted and needed. I got exactly what I asked for =)! Knar has is very professional, funny as all get out, and she makes sure your visit is fun by playing music in the shop and keeps the conversation going. She is a professional & licensed hair dresser for at least 30 years, so based on what you ask for, she will let you know what could or could not look good on you. I’ve learned to take her advise LOL!
