If I could give this place negative stars, I totally would! I ate here as part of our work luncheon and even tho I didn’t have to pay I wanted my money back. Food sucked! They say it’s a buffet but how do you count a 2−3ft table with maybe 4 different choices a buffet?! I couldn’t wait to leave and unfortunately joselito came back to haunt me about 30mins later and I ended up spending the rest of the day in the bathroom. I’d rather starve than eat here again.

I’d pick this place over most Mexican restaurants that are local. I’d rather even order take out from here than go to chipotle. However the inside seems a bit dark but the food is really good.

A friend suggested this place for good mexican food in Montrose. I had tried Pepe’s before and did not like it at all so thought I’d give this place a try. Sorry to say but it was not good. My sister ordered the burrito and it looked and tasted like it had been sitting under the heat lamp too long. I ordered the nachos with shredded beef and I probably had a few bites because it was not good. I ordered the flan because I love ordering flan from different mexican restaurants to try it and there’s was awful! It wasn’t creamy. It was hard and tasted grainy. Just awful! Very disappointed with this place because I thought I can finally go somewhere for good mexican food. I was going to give it one star but decided to give two just for average customer service.

My boyfriend and I have a lunch date together. We love Mexican food. I suggested this place to him. We ordered 2 combo plates of chile relleno, shredded beef tacos with much rice. 2 bowl of chicken noodle soup, it has a delicious taste and yummy and a plate of sliced avocado. Drinks are good and refreshing. My favorite drink is the Raspberry Margarita. We experience that our waiter was very attentive, friendly and nice. Food are great and amazing. The restroom are clean.

I always eat here on a weekly basis. I don’t cook very often so this place is very convenient for me. What I enjoy most about this place is the variety of Mexican food, I don’t have to just stick to American Chinese. I have my sushi options also. I highly recommend this place for the whole family to eat. their drinks were awesome too especially margarita and mimossa.

Hands down, BEST service! Steve L. Must be reviewing the wrong place. I live in Orange County and have made it a tradition to come every Sunday! The food is very good Enchiladas Rojas are my favorite with black beans and a Cadillac Margarita :)…the staff is very friendly, after the second Sunday, my waiter Lalo, began calling me by my first name… Impressive! Ramon is also one of my favorite waiters and Cory the manager is very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very good food. I recommend the Mole dish, although a variant of the Mole Poblano dish, it’s less spicy and contains sliced almonds vs. sesame seeds. Service is very good.

Very upsetting, I came looking for a giant asade burrito. Instead spent $ 59 on 4 burritos with 7 pieces of meat inside along with a bunch of lettuce, beans, cheese, amongst a few other fillers. I will not be back.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants! Came here for dinner and drinks yesterday and left very happy, as usual. My favorite thing here is the Mango Margarita, it is just delicious! Chips & salsa are on the house. I got the fish taco plate, but it is a lot of food(two big fish tacos, rice, and beans), I could not even finish half. The environment and staff are super friendly. Will be back soon!

Have been eating there for several years now. The food is good, but the 5 star rating is basically for the service. My friend and I bring our dogs and eat outdoors and the waiters bring us water bowls and are very kind and attentive. Ramon, especially, goes out of his way to individually greet and speak to all of his customers. He makes people feel special, and checks frequently to see if we need anything. Went there the other day and it started raining. He let us eat under the awning and never complained once about having to come outside, even though I know that he got a little wet. His smile never faltered. Thank you, Ramon!

Chips and salsa = Great ask for their Salsa Verde if it doesn’t automatically come to your table. Items to try: Enchilada Lito, Mexico City Tacos,(did you know you can substitute a salad in exchange for the rice and beans.) or the Mexican Pizza Appetizer(it’s big).

We were hanging in Montrose, the family and I, and we wanted to grab an early dinner so we don’t have to eat late… cause if I eat late, I start complaining about how I feel heavy and fat, etc…(Sucks getting older) We love Joselito’s, typically we go to the one in Tujunga, which we’ve had better experiences with to be honest, but today was a little different. They were so nice and attentive to us! We sat outside, enjoying the sunny LA weather, and our waiter came by right away with our drinks(water… Cause I’m trying to drink healthy… Sugar free… Shoot me… Whatever lol), and we wanted to feed our son some avocados. They brought out some nice thin slices avocados for him. My wife got the usual, shrimp cocktailito, my daughter got chicken strips(we shoulda gotten her an enchilada! Like why would we get ‘chicken strips’ at a Mexican restaurant!!! It’s like going to Raffi’s place and being like«I’d like a hamburger»… Lol!), anyways, and I got a combo plate– chile relleno(so freakin good!!) and two shredded beef tacos(seriously amazing!). The cool part of what we experienced today is that our waiter was so attentive, he brought out mild and got salsa… Mild for the kids and hot for me! The food came out fairly quick and we downed it. The shrimp cocktailito is always amazing… Sometimes it’s too spicy, but overall consistently really good! My chile relleno was freaking awesome, as usual(my stomach will be paying for that later…), and I only had enough room to eat one taco. The tacos that they make are seriously one of the best tacos that I’ve EVER had(and I was brought up in LA… I’ve had a ton of different tacos! Lol). There is something about how the meat is so tender and the shell is so freshly made and the cheese on top is so good! I loved it. We finished up our food, I asked for boxes to take some food home, and the waiter was one step ahead of me. He brought me a bag for the boxes right before I was going to ask him for one. To my experience… This Joselito’s has amazing food… Seriously some of the best Authentic Mexican food you will ever have around without having to go to Mexico. The service here is always up and down. From my perspective, when they are not busy, they attend to you and go beyond your expectations! But in my past experience, when it’s busy, service is a little slow, not so attentive, and boardeline frustrating at points. If you have never eaten here… Don’t be a fool! Take a day and go grab a shrimp cocktailito, or a combo, or whatever! I highly doubt you will be disappointed! If you have eaten here… You may have the same perspective… I would just advise trying to visit on a slow afternoon. Overall, Joselito’s is awesome! Andaleh pues! Go eat some!

I’ve eaten here years ago, but went to pick up takeout yesterday. I couldn’t believe how bad the quality was compared to before. Maybe it was just because it was to go, but I definitely wouldn’t come back. I ordered a 2 taco combo with chips salsa and guacamole. They charged me $ 23.00 for that. When I got home, my tacos were completely soggy you couldn’t even pick up the taco because it broke. The beans were hard as if they were old. Only good thing were the chips. I wouldn’t pay $ 23.00 for good chips though. I was very disappointed.

Medium Margarita is $ 7.95 and large is $ 10.95. We ordered the veggie burrito and it was a perfect size to share for two people. We sat upstairs and our server was very attentive.

Well… I’m disappointed. I came here hoping for a nice sit down Mexican dinner full of flavor and some good service. Unfortunately, neither of my hopes were satisfied. We were seated and it took 5 minutes for someone to put chips and salsa on our table. Then another 5 minutes to get drinks and an appetizer. Then 15 more minutes to order food. Ridiculous. The guacamole dip was runny and bland. Not enjoyable. It took forever to arrive and once it did I had a couple scoops and was done. Next, the Carne Asada Burrito. I had heard this was one of their most popular meals so I gave it a shot. However, after a few bites, I began to question why it was so popular. The enchilada sauce on top was good as were the rice and beans, but the meat was extremely salty. So much salt ruined the whole burrito. Won’t be coming back. Los Gringos Locos down the street is much better. Take you appetite there.

Delicious Mexican food! I always get the two-item combo with enchiladas and tamales and then you get a choice of salad or the meatball soup which is so delicious and the meal comes with rice and beans. I’m amazed that I can eat all of that even though they give you a lot! I think it’s because the food is so good that I don’t have a stop button for it haha. I’ve never ordered dessert from this place. You really can’t go wrong with their dishes though. Oh, and I was worried that the sauces would be too spicy for me but they made an adjustment and toned it down for me so I was able to handle it :) the workers there are very nice and the environment is quiet and a relaxing place to enjoy your meal. I love bringing my friends here :)
