I dare you to stop in for a sample & leave without buying something. Also, the sweetest employee! No pic cause it was too good not to eat right away… Thank God I don’t live close by lol!

I’ve always loved I’ve cream and the first time I went to Italy I ate gelato at least twice a day. Good thing I’m not diabetic!(yet). Anyway, I was highly skeptical of this place initially. It’s not gelato, but oh man did my inner child at the Thrifty ice cream counter come out! I now frequent this place. My faves are coffee chocolate, pistachio, raspberry, peanut butter chocolate, banana split, … The list goes on! I love the outdoor games as well. Do your tastebuds a favor and check it out.

All the flavors are good esp chocolate. Two stars down for being so over priced… but for what you pay at 31 flavors this place is better quality.

Great Ice cream and Great employee! The Denmark Sundae I ordered is delish! They captured the flavors of my favorite chocolate ‘Ferrero’ being handcrafted. Its cheap too! The cashier gave out free sample if you want to try out everything. Great experience and would come back again. I happily ate mine :) The place is small just a heads up, I suggest ordering to go ;)

PARADIS is the best ice cream place around! Love their customer service as well!!! The little blonde Filipino girl is so nice she’s always there when I go. She has my usual memorized, so I feel at home :) 10⁄10 would recommend this place to others. Also they play the best music! So quiche!

A bit on the pricey side, but worth it. It’s lower in fat and very light(consistency wise). Great amount of outdoor seating, and located in beautiful Downtown Montrose. Can’t beat that.

Scoops are quite stingy, considering how much you pay. But more importantly, the flavors do not come close to living up to their names. Ferrero Rocher ice cream stood out to me, because obviously. Nope, nope, nope. Tasted just like, uhh, vanilla, actually. The other two flavors I had in my hilariously small three-scoop cone were equally tame — and, apparently, forgettable, because I can’t recall what those two flavors were. Textures in general were far too«smooth», almost like real, manly ice cream had a baby with girly soft serve. It’s a cheat day, dammit, give me some rich nasty cream!

I just recently moved to the area and found this little gem through Unilocal. One day I decided to try it out and I was hooked! The ice cream is like a hybrid between regular ice cream and gelato, The consistency is pretty creamy and almost all of their ice cream have some kind of «toppings» mixed in, which gives it a good texture. I’ve been here twice and so far and they have slighly different menu each time, so I think they rotates the flavors. my favorites so far are the pistachio, ferrero rocher and almond chocolate chips, but the other flavors are also good. The store is really quaint and tiny with some patio seating. Definitely a must try whenever you’re in the area and wants some delicious ice cream,

I have to say, being a customer that goes to this business twice a week I have become accustomed to the consistently good service that Paradis offers. So before I explain a bad experience first and foremost this place has some of the best gelato around. I recommend it to friends and co-workers and will still continue too. However whoever was working tonight 10⁄13 definitely could use a quick course from fellow employees in properly taking orders and making them correctly. Took out order for the usual two milkshakes(the sea salt caramel is to die for) and then took care and cashed out another person. She started making them and had my girlfriend not pay attention she would have given her something she did not order. One milkshake was so runny it was practically chocolate milk while mine was just the gelato scooped into a cup. Took a little bit of time to be able to drink it like I normally would. I hate to be harsh but spending close to $ 15 for two milkshakes you expect them to be right, there were too many people in line behind me and I was too tired to go back and ask for another. Thought maybe I could reach out this way.

Refreshing ice creams. Small shop, friendly staff. The scoops are little small for the price, but it’s a nice treat. You can sit outside and people watch.

Paradis has some of the best ice cream EVER! So rich and creamy, very sweet and decadent! Service was great, I went with a scoop of Ferrero and it was amazing! A bit pricey at about $ 5 a scoop, but you can taste the quality and it is pretty filling. Cute, but simple location, nice selection, can’t wait to be back to try more!

Pricing is high — paid around $ 7.50 for 3 golf-ball sized scoops with hot fudge. Served in a cup. I’m not really sold on the concept of pricey boutique ice cream shops like this. While I was waiting in line a gentleman picked up a «6 pack» of ice cream, which is 6 scoops of ice cream in a take home container. He opened the pack at the counter and it was a big sticky mess inside. Bad presentation. Ice cream tastes good, flavors are unique.

Paradis is a small shop almost hidden amongst the various other shops and the row of trees that line Honolulu Ave… if it had not been for the giant ice cream cone curbside I’d probably not noticed this place Besides the ice cream being creamy and delicious what I really liked about this place is they had a good selection of not your typical flavors yeah they have your Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla, but they also have stuff like Banana, Almond Crunch, Cherry Sauce, Double Chocolate with Macaroons… you got where I’m going! Strawberry Sorbet — Made with FRESH ripe Strawberries — taste like Strawberry, Duh! Strawberry Sorbet — Small($ 4.95) You get to choose(2) Scoops and of course my wife got two scoops of Strawberry Orange Buttermilk — Tangy Buttermilk and Freshly squeezed Orange Juice. — Very light tang with a hint of Orange flavor Bacio — Rich Chocolate, Imported Nougat and Hazelnuts — Taste of Rich Chocolate and very creamy Orange Buttermilk & Bacio — Small($ 4.95)

Expensive!!! $ 4 for a single scoop of gelato that was halfway melted by the time I paid for it and started digging in! I do admit the flavors are really yummy though. My favorite is salted caramel and also ferorro rocher. My friend likes getting the milkshake. Maybe I should get that so I don’t have to worry about my gelato melting so damn fast. The workers are nice though. They always fill up the cup nice and full and they work fast and efficiently so there isn’t a long wait or anything. this is on Montrose Boardwalk so you can walk around while eating your dessert.

I loved it! Now I have discovered the sweet heaven in Montrose. I got to taste different flavors, it’s free and what I liked most were the salted caramel and peanut butter. There will always be a line and a little crowded but it goes fast. They have the outside seatings with some family table games provided. Next to it was the vintage Montrose Bakery and Café right across the street of Seasoning Alley.

How many times have a walked by Paradis(e), not knowing what wonders I was missing? Cookie butter ice cream. If that’s not enough to get you in the door, there’s gotta be something for you. What a range of flavors, and you can sample them all! The set up is pretty simple – cup or cone, number of scoops, etc. MILKSHAKES. You can even get some in a to-go container! Ice cream is super creamy and flavorful. I loved the globs of cookie butter in mine. I got a single split scoop with half cookie butter and half banana fudge – chunks of chocolate galore. The serving is generous, and they seat it nicely in the cone so you don’t run out of ice cream before you’ve got that last bite of cone. It’s not my absoluteee favorite, but it’s pretty dang good, especially for such a small town.

Paradis ice cream is originally from Denmark!(cool). It’s where they first opened and expanded. The Montrose location has been around since 2009 and 5 new locations(Monrovia, Hermosa Beach, Seal Beach, Valencia and Orange) will be opening soon. I’ve actually seen the Monrovia location(since I work closeby). The sign has been there for about a year already, but no date as to when they will open. They offer ice cream and sorbet(vegan). My husband and I were on a double date with his cousin and wife. After we had dinner, we decided to walk around and eventually made our way into Paradis. I tried the Hazelnut, Chocolate Chip & Caramel and the Coffee Chocolate Chip and my husband also for the Coffee Chocolate Chip and Salted Caramel. Two cones with two scoops each came out to $ 9.90. The atmosphere is very family friendly. There are a few tables outside with games to play. We ended up playing«Battle of the Sexes». There was also an ice cream mascot outside waving at people and saying hello to the kids and dogs.lol. The texture of the ice cream was smooth and creamy and I enjoyed mine. I actually ended up liking the Coffee ice cream more than the Hazelnut one. My husband’s cousin tried the pistachio flavor and thought it was a bit too strong in flavor for him. Overall, great ice cream place and wouldn’t hesitate to come again to try more flavors. 100⁄100 Reviews for 2015 **woohoo made my goal and it’s only June 1st**

Oh, my word! What a great little place!!! Their choice of ice creams will not knock you off your feet, but the taste of it certainly will. My friend had classic vanilla bean, and it was rich, smoothy and classy. I had raspberry buttermilk, and I swear, it was one of the best ice creams I have ever had! It had the perfect combination of tartness, richness and freshness, along with intense and deep berry flavor — SOAMAZING! We found it reasonably priced — compatible to Coldstone in price but superior in quality — and the young man working at the counter was professional and friendly. Now that I think about it, I never left a tip, and he really deserved it — so I need to go back. [Note to the owner: the young man I am talking about worked at about 3 pm on Sunday, March 22]. I was pleasantly surprised to find out Paradis is a franchise and they are coming to the town near me! :) Yay! And can’t wait for more of that frozen goodness!

Paradis is a local gem and I am so happy that I can enjoy it whenever I please. It’s located on a charming neighborhood street lined with quaint mom and pop shops and provides the perfect after-meal dessert or mid-day pick-me-up. I like my ice cream smooth and ultra-creamy and Paradis just gets me like that. Ice cream is made fresh here everyday and is advertised as low in both fat and sugar– although, I don’t know if I fully believe this claim what with the flavors tasting as good as they do. It breaks my heart when ice cream shops have a limit on the number of samples I can try, so you can imagine how much more I love Paradis for letting me sample as many flavors as I want. I literally become a little kid in an ice cream store. There are lighter fruit sorbet options as well as richer flavors like Ferrero Rocher and Peanut Butter Chocolate. All of the flavors are smooth and delicious, guaranteed! My favorites are the Strawberry Buttermilk, Cookies & Cream, and Ferrero Rocher. The Strawberry Buttermilk is light, so fresh, and has a delicious tart bite to it. The Cookies & Cream(my favorite flavor anywhere, anytime) is just the right consistency for me– dense and creamy, it eats like a thick custard. The Ferrero Rocher is just straight up tasty– if you like the candy, you’ll like the ice cream. They rotate flavors out, which invites me to come back time and time again. I’m so grateful there is such a quality ice cream shop nearby and definitely recommend anyone to come try it for themselves.
