DJ’s Available Sound and Light

This review is for Mike Petretti who was the DJ for our September 28 wedding.
The office was easy to contact via phone and email, and responses were received quickly. Payment was quick and painless also.
Mike was relaxed, down to earth, and great to work with. We met with him several weeks before the wedding to iron out all details, and he was thorough and professional– listening to what we wanted and making professional suggestions.
Mike texted me a few days before the wedding to check if any changes were needed. He arrived early for the wedding (and greeted me in the bridal suite) and set up exactly as had been requested. He played the music for my ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and deposits having three setup, he was seamless and efficient.
Mike did a wonderful job with the reception, enough of a presence to be personable and keep things fun/​moving, but not overbearing/​annoying/​corny (which DJs often are, unfortunately). I received compliments regarding the music and DJ throughout (and after) the reception from guests of all ages.
We knew that Mike was good (since he was the DJ for a friend’s wedding), but we didn’t know how truly amazing he was until our meeting and wedding day. If you are looking for an experienced DJ professional, then Mike and DJs Available is a good choice for you.
One more thing– they’re reasonable! This company was hundreds of dollars less than competitors!

Choosing a DJ was very important to me since I love music. I have been to so many weddings where the music was too loud or the music was «un-​danceable» so I did a TON of research prior to calling DJs Available and requesting DJ Mike P. Boy did it pay off!
We met with him about two weeks prior to our wedding and had a ton of fun going over things and sampling songs. We were totally in control and when we requested one song that he did not have, he made sure he got it for us. My dad even wanted to do something special and do a mix for our father/​daughter dance and DJ Mike was so accommodating calling and emailing my dad. My dad enjoyed working with him too… I told DJ Mike that I love Gaga and he had to play a song for me and he went above and beyond and dedicated a whole mix for me– I was thrilled! And when my grade school friend requested Hanson’s MMMBop at the end of the night, he played that too, no problem, and the crowd actually loved it.
His selection of dinner music was perfect and the rest of the night almost every single person was on the dance floor. People of all ages, even people who told me that they do not dance. Our wedding album proves that hardly anyone was sitting down. Mike is truly a great guy with a great personality and his time on the mic was awesome because of his energy.
It is also important to note that my initial contact was with Tina and she always answered my emails/​questions promptly and happily made any changes I requested.
I highly recommend DJs Available and specifically DJ Mike P. What a great time we had!

I worked with DJs Available for DJ services and special effect lighting for a large scale event. Leading up to the big day, Tina was my contact and she was wonderful to work with. Super helpful and very quick to reply to email.
A day or two prior to the event, I received a call from Paul the DJ to confirm details. He was friendly and seemed genuinely excited for the event, and was just as lovely in person and a ball of energy at the party. I didn’t give too much guidance for the playlist simply because I ran out of time while I was busy planning. I simply suggested that he play all fast songs, which he did, with lots of variety in genres.
My only minor disappointment was the special effect lighting. I paid to have a logo light (called a Gobo) specifically created for the event, in addition to some mood lighting. All together, lighting cost as much as the DJ services. Since my venue was a bit on the brighter side, much of the lighting effect was lost, though I do think it would have really popped in a darker venue. My only suggestion would be to bring this up during the consultation process if the customer seems to be on the fence. Otherwise, great company to work with and I’d hire them again.

I had Mike from DJ’s Available dj our wedding last December. I cannot say enough good things about both the company and our DJ. First of all, they frequently have showcases where you can get a feel for each of the DJ’s and it’s a great opportunity to get a feel for each person so you know who will best fit your and your event. Their prices are very reasonable, they offer a lot of great add-​ons like lighting etc. (also very reasonable). The office staff could not have been more helpful, but most importantly we loved our DJ. He worked with us before the event so that he knew exactly what we wanted and to get a feel for the type of event we wanted. He did a fantastic job the night of the wedding. Besides the GREAT music selections, he kept the night flowing smoothly without taking any attention away from the event itself. DJ’s Available & Mike are AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME.

Simply a great DJ company. I worked with them on my upcoming wedding, and so far, everything has been great. I’ve been working with Terry here, and he’s phenomenal! They’re easy to get a hold of, and always return your calls. I’m very excited to see Terry in action on the 31^st!
