Studio 126 Family Hair Salon

After being impressed with my first cut, I went back to this place a second time. This time, I made the mistake of going in with my hair air-​dried and unstyled. I didn’t see the point in styling it just so it could look good for the five minutes between getting out of the car and getting it washed, but the stylist, I could tell, was annoyed by my lack of effort.
I requested that she trim about an inch, maybe 1 ½ inches if needed to keep the ends healthy, specifically telling her I was trying to grow it out. By the time she was done, she had removed well over 5 inches, and she made some condescending remark about how this style would be «easier for you to maintain.» Apparently because I hadn’t arrived with my hair styled to her satisfaction, she took it upon herself to decide I didn’t deserve to keep my own hair.
Yes, you can get an excellent cut at this place. But if you want any say in what that cut is, be sure you arrive looking perfect.

We recently moved to Mooresville from Matthews and needed to find a stylist for my elderly mom who moved in with us. I found Studio 126 on Unilocal as well. Renee did a fabulous cut and style for her and was very personable. Prices are very reasonable. Already made next appointment.

I have been a customer at this salon for over 4 years, and would not change for anything! These ladies are awesome. Very attentive, extremely professional and very timely. Renee is my stylist, and my 15 year old daughter has flipped between Chasity and Brenda, both excellent stylists.
Renee is a color specialist, who can seamlessly match color, time and time again. I am a professional so it is important to always look my best. Give them a try. You will not regret it. Delightful, dedicated, and professional.
I would give them a 10!

I just moved here from NY and desperately needed a haircut. I was so nervous to try a new salon but someone I work with told me about Studio 126. I went there tonight and had such a nice experience. Brenda who was the stylist sat with me first and discussed how I would like my hair to be cut and styled. She really listened to what I said because my hair was exactly the way I like to wear it. Brenda was so sweet and really took time to give me a great cut and style. I left there so happy and Brenda will see me every 6 – 8 weeks for sure!!! Thanks so much. E.S.

I don’t know if you can give 0 stars but I would if I could. Recommended by a friend I went there and received a horrible cut. Time came for another so I thought I’d give it another shot with a different stylist and what would you know?, worst haircut in my life. Just in time for my friends wedding, so thanks for that! Nothing like bald spots on the side and 10 different lengths of hair on the rest. Where do they find these stylists? Avoid at all costs or waste your money… your call!

I went with my daughter today to get her a lip waxed. We were able to secure an appt. the same day and were warmly greeted upon our arrival, hence 1 star instead of 0. The salon offers a private waxing room which my daughter prefers. Unfortunately things went down hill from there. Rule #1 of waxing is never, ever, re-​dip the same applicator stick into the vat of warm wax. This is extremely unhygienic! I was chit chatting with my daughter so I didn’t realize this was being done until she was almost finished. Who knows how many germs were being kept nicely warm in that vat of wax! Ugh! Thank God the technician mentioned that they do not do bikini waxes there. If they did I probably would have thrown up.

I think this is a hidden gem in Mooresville & almost don’t want to post about it! I’ve lived in the area 2+ years & have had a hard time finding a place to get my hair done, but I’ve been to a few stylists here now & have never had an issue. I also love it because while you get a great experience — you’re not going to get overcharged for a great cut/​style.
Renee is great — she has done my hair a few times. I do have a favorite though, Brenda. She has long hair — so I immediately trust her with my long hair (there are some stylists that just do not understand a TRIM!!) Brenda has been phenomenal in everything she has done for me; cut, color & style.
I’ve also had waxing done here & again — never had an issue. All these ladies are great & I’m glad I found a good, affordable place to get my hair done in Mooresville!
