thumbs up: — only place that has decent coffee and hours — discount for grad students — pretty good salad selections thumbs down: — no venti size!?!

Don’t be fooled by the new coat of paint and the addition of a sandwich bar. This place is still really disappointing for what it is. The new sandwiches are still about what you would get, if not slightly worse, than what’s in Saga(excuse me, Oliver Hall). The coffee is okay, and all the smoothies and faux-frappuccinos are too sweet. You’re also paying a premium for the location. Your money is much better spent at Starbucks on Rheem, which is still pretty sad for a college campus.

I have tried their«Starbuck» drinks, like the caramel frappucino, and the taste is just too sweet. It has a slushy, icey texture instead of a smooth texture. The fruit smoothies, however, are refreshing as they have the right amount of sweetness to brighten up your day. Some of their leftovers, like boxed tuna sandwiches, can be found in the back corner of the cafeteria from time to time. They might not be as fresh as buying it from Café Louis, but if you’re desperate, that’s a place you should check out. Overall, friendly service, reliable food, and clean atmosphere.

Revamped layout and new menu items. When visiting Saint Mary’s College the dining hall is not your only option(unless you’re rolling deep). The newly renovated Café Louis is one to admire. It was not merely a facelift and cosmetic upgrade. It is much wider and much more open. The space is both refreshing and energizing. The menu now offers made to order sandwiches and salads. The flatbread sandwiches are on point. The smoothies are all natural. You can taste that mango. They offer a wider variety of baked goods and still have their signature coffee beverages. This was much a needed and worthwhile upgrade. In no time this will become another campus destination for both students and visitors.
