My husband and I have been eating at this place for years. We ordered take out today and it is obvious they changed chefs. The quality of the food has gone down. The food was terrible.

Have eaten in and take out… remember the food as ok… seemed the staff was ‘put out’ to have to wait on us. Take out… was told it would be delivered at 7pm(we are 1.8 miles and 3 stop lights away. almost a straight shot down Main)…called 7:10pm …they said 30 mins… had a lot of unexpected customers(easier to put off phone customers than in person)…7:15pm told my wife to call back and cancel… now they said they couldn’t because it is on it’s way(translation…‘hurry up with that order ?)…the food showed up at 7:40pm. so I guess it is poor service… seems to be a theme in other reviews… we miss China Orchid! Won’t be back… Pearl River is a block down the street… will give it a try.

Best Chinese food in the area by far. Love eating here with my wife. She turned me on to it. Food is great. Try the war won ton soup. And everything else is tasty. I’ve never really been to a Chinese restaurant that has over the top amazing service, PF Changs doesn’t count, so all the reviews of the not good service should stop. We all know that poor and sometimes rude service is all part of the Chinese restaurant experience.

We ate here last night. We came because Peking was closed… We should have checked the reviews here 1st. Service is really bad. Examples: 1) The server dropped our cups of soup down on the corner between my daughter & I almost spilling it on me. The soup was for me & my husband — so sure, I’ll pass it over.(Odd.) 2) Another server came through our area yelling loudly to another server, «no won tons, no won tons !» while carrying a big bowl of soup from another table back to the kitchen… Food: Super greasy. One item was a bit cold in the center making me think it’s reheated, not fresh. Walnut prawns had no walnuts…

We waited for 35 minutes and only received the egg rolls we ordered and they were cold. We asked for water several times and we’re just told ok. Unfortunately we went there by accident. We had chosen a different place after reading the reviews on the bad service. It was bad. Carry out was a priority and not the clients in house. This was our first time there and our last.

Food is greasy and service is really really bad. I will never eat here again. We did not eat the food but they tried to make us pay for it. Save your money and don’t eat here

Food is average, nothing really special with anything that we ordered. Service is nasty, we got yelled at when I asked how long for food after 75 minutes, telling me they’re busy, what did I expect, and so on. If the service was better, I’d probably come back. As it stands, the service doesn’t seem to care about the customers, so why should we care about returning? This place is not worth the frustration.

Read the reviews about how good the food is but the service is poor. Also saw voted best Chinese food in Morgan hill in 2013. So. Decided to try. But wanted to go at lunch thinking service would be better. Ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp for lunch comes with soup of the day and egg roll, vegetable chow me in and choice of steamed or fried rice. Ordered steamed. For 9.50 Hot and sour soup was amazing. Egg roll was one of the best I’ve ever had. The Kung Pao Prawns is to die for. Service was amazing and the place was fairly busy. I would most likely order takeout for dinner if it’s super busy. Rather than complain.

very disappointing. We ordered togo. Food is bland. This is the first chinese restaurant I’ve gone to where all the food I ordered is bland. We ended up throwing away all the food. We could not eat it not to mention it took so long to get our order.

Made a big mistake coming here on a Friday evening. The entrance was crowded with customers picking up orders. When we got seated we sat next to two tables that had not been cleaned. We got water and stared at the dirty plates on the tables next to us for 30 minutes then we got our soup and egg rolls. Twenty minutes after that and nothing else had been brought out. We spoke to two servers who were apologetic and kind but still no dinner. I asked if I could get the check for the soup and egg rolls and that was that.

First time we tried China palace. Very busy. Took 30 mins to get salad, 50 to get dinner, missing the rice, another 10 mins for rice. Customers were complaining! Owner was rude to customer who was so frustrated, trying to tell her how long they waited. Then after that complaint the OWNER, started yelling at the server in front of everyone! It was uncomfortable and embarrassing, he was actually running at times to the kitchen! They were understaffed in kitchen and on floor! Too bad the experience was so bad because the food, once you got it was good~won’t be back and I am sure the owner doesn’t care!!!

The food is great… But the customers… First & foremost I love children, it’s the disrespectful parents we can do without… If you want to go out with your child you should be respectful of people around you… It really is not cute to let your child bang on the tables with the flatware… I do not blame the child on any way, it’s the parenting… I did not sleep with you and the kid does not look like me so I should not have to sit through the noise like his father… Also, putting a devise in their hands with none stop cartoons is great parenting…

I have been going to China palace for years, and they are great. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner there and they were so accommodating. Now we primarily order take out and it is always good quality. I personally am obsessed with their wor won ton soup and their chow fun. We often get their fried rice and honey walnut chicken as well. Some of their servers have left me less than impressed, but the food has always left us happy.

Don’t do it. +1,000 on the horrible service. Made the mistake of going before checking Unilocal.Lady who brought us water spilled it everywhere on the table and did t even wipe it up. I asked for straws and got a look of death. There was one young man working so hard as a server and getting yelled at by the ladies. His job sucks. Almost 2hrs for 6 dishes and they all came one by one with what seemed like 20min apart. Gotta admit the wor wonton, walnut shrimp and fried rice was good. Mongolian beef, chow fun and orange chicken less than average. But the service, OMG. Drive to San Jose and you’ll still get your food and be back home in Morgan Hill in Some folks ordering take out were standing by the door waiting for 30+min No server deserves to be treated by co-workers like the young man was. Damn!

We made a big mistake coming here today. We(my girlfriend and I) were made to feel very uncomfortable due to a loud argument between a boss and our server. We arrived at 3:15PM on Saturday. There was only one other customer eating when we walked in. Four male employees were eating at a table in an adjoining room near the kitchen. Our server was an Asian lady. She was pleasant and took our order. It was very quiet in the place except for a fly that wouldn’t leave us alone. Our food arrived within about ten minutes. Pork fried rice, almond chicken and beef with string beans. The fried rice was pretty cruddy — it was mushy and the pork was not hot. The almond chicken was pretty good except for the almonds. The almonds were stale beyond belief. The beef dish was very, very salty. We tried to enjoy the lunch, as lackluster as it was, but could not. Our server’s boss(apparently he was the boss) was yelling at her in Chinese. Although we couldn’t understand the exchange there was no doubt that she was attempting to either diffuse or defend herself from the voice inflections and tones of their voices. Another older Asian lady, we believe is the co-owner or manager, said something to them which include«no tip» in English. The man would not let up for a good 5 minutes. So we just gave up. It took a while for the argument to stop. I waved our server over and asked for the check. When she came back to us I was still going to leave her a cash tip because I felt kind of sorry for the treatment she was getting. But when I said thank-you to her she made a noise like«eh». So I picked up the $ 4.00 and we left. This isn’t the first time customers have complained about bad manners or attitudes of the managers and staff of this place. It is a shame since their are not many good Chinese restaurants we like in the area. Tt’ll be easier to decide which one we will choose next. The list has been reduced by one. We won’t be back.

The food was good BUT we were there for over 2 hrs getting it! All he tables were full of dirty dishes. We had 4 adults a toddler and a newborn and they counted it as a party of 6 and added 20% gratuity! For the horrible arrive we got(we had to get our own to go boxes and go up to get refills of water) they weren’t even going to get a tip. How can they count a newborn as a guest to make our party 6 people! So upset! We will only be getting it to go from now on.

To say that I am angry and disappointed would be an understatement today. I order take out and the person on the phone takes my order and tells me that they are a little slow, and to come in 35 minutes. I arrive in 40 minutes, and seeing the people waiting near the register should have been my first clue. The person at the counter takes my card and scurries off to the kitchen to get my food, or so I thought. I wait another 20 minutes and no food. I then see the same counter guy giving people their money back for items they ordered over the phone, only to be told after a long wait that they are out of that item. Clue #2. I ask the same guy who charged my car where my food was. He asked if I already paid, the look I gave him was enough to convince him that I did. He looks up my phone number and scurries of to get my food, or so i think. I never see the guy again and after 30 more minutes, I’m ready to ask for my money back. The main owner shows up saying she was at a meeting and that they are short staffed in the kitchen. I then ask her for my food, and after 15 more minutes, is able to find my order. «Did you pay yet?» was her question, met with the same scowl. Almost an hour after I arrived after waiting 40 minutes to pick up, my food finally arrives to go. i grab it and go. When I get home, part of the order is wrong, what was supposed to be Almond chicken is Cashew Chicken. Not a big deal, until I taste it. Horrible…Too much garlic and im not even sure what dish it was. I also ordered the house special fried rice(spicy). It was bland fried rice with pepper… needless to say, I wont be coming back here again. If you do, and they say they are slow… Go to Panda Express.
