Had the gyro salad with Balsamic dressing and I must say this salad was amazing! I could have even done without the dressing that’s how flavorful the gyro meat is. They give you a giant mountain of salad including greens, bell pepper, onion, tomatoes, cucumber, gyro meat, and pita bites. It was very filling and definitely a bargain for the price. I also saw their specials board had an amazing sounding platter for those who are much hungrier. The employees are very kind and welcoming. There are parking tokens which allow you to park for free in the garage below, just ask for one at the register. I will definitely be going back on a regular basis.

A good gyro is a thing of beauty, and the good here is a nice addition to Morgantown. There is ample parking below the restaurant in a below-ground parking garage, for which you will get validated parking if you eat here. Read: free off-street parking. Fries and gyro meat were very good, and although I’ve only been in once, I suspect strongly that I’ll be back.

The best Greek food I have had anywhere. Gyros are always piled high with meat and I love that they put a few fries on there too. I love the greek fries, and I have started purchasing the Greek dressing there because it is that good. As if that is not enough, the owner/manager always goes out of his way to make sure that our son gets something that he likes. He has made grilled cheese(not on the menu) among other custom orders. He often gives our son free fries or little sweet treats for dessert. The staff is VERY friendly and always willing to go out of their way for you. These people work hard to make sure the food is great and that you have a great time. One of our favorite restaurants in all of Morgantown.

I was just passing through town and found this little cove of awesomeness on Unilocal.Being in a college town I was halfway expecting some air of disinterest in the employees like most of the other places in town. Man was I wrong. They were so genuinely excited to see their customers come through the door. They were relatively busy but handled it like clockwork. They have outdoor seating as well as indoor. I had my children with me so I sat inside and the conversation carried on with the staff and the other patrons was effortless and comfortable. I had a gyro and Greek fries, thinking it would be a nice small meal… I was wrong AGAIN. The portions were awesome, right in the border of «what we’re they thinking, trying to stuff this much lamb on here» awesome place, delicious food

Best Greek food in Morgantown, in fact best Greek food I have ever had for that matter. They put French fries in the gyros! I don’t know about you but that is awesome and I love it! The Greek fries are to die for even if you are not a fan of feta cheese. They are French fries with feta and olive oil and I personally do not like feta but the owner convinced me to try them and I have never looked back since! On that note the staff especially the owner is extremely inviting and make you feel very welcome!

We love this place! The gyros are excellent, with authentic family recipes. The FREE parking on 4th Street is convenient. Wait staff are polite and anticipate customers’ needs.

I absolutely adore this place. When I am living in Morgantown for the school year this is my go to place. The staff is incredibly friendly and polite. The food is just as great. I recommend the Greeks to anyone in the area! I’ve been home for summer just a few weeks and have been craving their gyros! I have not been to the breakfast/coffee shop around the back, but have heard great things about it too!

Absolutely delicious lamb gyro with tsatsiki sauce and fries. Friendly service. Also tried a piece of my friend’s half chicken(delicious, tasted like it came straight off a charcoal grill). Highly recommended! The only downsides are parking(try behind the building down by the trail) and lots of students from the apartments(loud! but, you know, that’s to be expected in Morgantown).

Meat was very dry but plentiful. Fries were kind of oily and the salad was ok. Nothing to get excited about here. Very average.

The more I go here the more I like it. They’ve added a combo deal that now makes them more competetive with other local eateries. They’re gyros are good sized and they don’t skimp on the meat. Very tasty food and a nice addition to the Morgantown food scene. I have not tried any of there daily specials because I enjoy the gyro so much. One of these days I will.

This is the best Greek food and possibly the best food I’ve had in the past year. The chicken gyro is alright, but the gyro with«gyro meat» is definitely the best thing on the menu. The tazaki spread is perfect. The only thing I don’t like is that they put homemade french fries on the gyros. They also have Greek unsweetened iced tea which is good too

In the last year, Morgantown has unfortunately seen the loss of its two best gyro-serving restaurants, Ali Baba and Mediterranean Market(R.I.P.). For fans of gyros such as myself, there was an incredible emptiness that needed filled in the Morgantown food scene. Enter THEGREEKS. I did my homework before checking out the Greeks by reading reviews and talking to others as I typically do. There was a mixed bag of comments ranging from complaints about the prices and location to others where people were claiming The GREEKS had the best gyro theyve ever had. After hearing from 3 different friends that the food was insanely good and worth the visit, I decided my quest for a good gyro needed to included a stop at this restaurant. I will say this right now, THISPLACEDIDNOTDISAPPOINT. As a critical person when it comes to food(aka a horrible foodie ha) when I find something I love, all other things are stacked against and compared. This place stacked up easily and maybe even topped the gyros I had at the previous 2 places. I got the gyro with Taziki Sauce and the Greek fries. Both were amazing. The gyro was huge and had good chunks of meat, not the thin, frozen looking stuff that some other places try to pass off. I was incredibly hungry when I went in and could still barely finish my food. On top of the food being excellent and well worth what you pay, the owners were fantastic as well. The specials were explained to us without even being asked. All questions were answered fully. We were checked on and asked how our food was on a couple different occasions. Most places, the staff cant even be bothered to acknowledge you, but here the friendliness was in full effect. The owner was even so nice to provide us with a free dessert as we were speaking to her at length after finishing eating. Wow, above and beyond. As a side note, you park in the back garage under the building and you are provided a token to validate your parking. What more can you ask for? In closing, THEGREEKS is a more than welcome addition to the Morgantown food scene. They are the gyro spot that was sorely missing. I highly recommend, and cant wait to get back to try their other dishes, including the amazing looking specials next time. Make sure you take time to talk to the owner as she clearly cares that you enjoy your food and have had a great experience. Zero complaints here.

I am a gyro FREAK from Pittsburgh. Grew up on gyros and loved them all my life. After moving to Morgantown, I was disappointed there were so few gyro options around(surprising, in a college town…). Sure there’s Taziki’s, but they don’t serve ‘real’ gyro meat. you can, however, get a lamb kabob on a pita there. Then there is the Mediterranean Market downtown — a sleepy, run down place with a decent gyro, but I find it depressing to eat there. If you want a great gyro, let me suggest Mike & Tony’s on Pittsburgh’s south side. A classic hole in the wall joint where $ 5 gets you a full stomach of gyro heaven. Another favorite is Rodo’s café in White Oak, where you can get a gyro big enough for 2.(I regularly stock up on gyros from Rodos freeze them for eating later in Morgantown). There are many more great gyro joints around Pittsburgh where you can get a full belly on a budget. Most reading this are looking in Morgantown, so I digress, but I want you to know where I get my basis for comparison. I was really happy to see a new Greek restaurant come to Morgantown, and I got a gyro as soon as I found out about The Greeks. The place in new and clean with traditional Greek music in the background. They have REAL gyro meat and it tasted good, but I was disappointed it the amount of meat received for the price. Plus there were a few french fries on the gyro, hopefully not to stretch the meat… They could /should have piled on at least 5 times the amount of meat on my gyro. College kids are on a budget, give them their money’s worth and this place has a chance to be great. Don’t skimp on the meat!!!
