This place takes up almost the entire block. The sign says hardware and they have Morongo Valley’s largest supply of hardware, but on closer look you see that adjoining the hardware store is the huge and unique Cactus Mart nursery, the Purple Agave Art Gallery, and a huge selection of planters, ceramics, you name it.
For not a lot of money, I purchased a bottle of Pomegranate Syrup and a jar of Prickley Pear Jelly for gifts. The people there were very helpful and had interesting things to say. Oh, and I remembered to get the plumbing part I went there for … imagine that!

This place is a cactus heaven.
So many varieties and species of succulents, cacti, desert flowers, and fruit trees. Great place to stop on your way to Joshua Tree or the Yucca Valley.
It’s a very large nursery, so it might take a while to check out while the staff are tending to plants on the other side of the property.
In addition to being a hardware and garden store– they apparently raise chickens too. So, if you need a chicken… there you go.
