Ignore both my previous reviews. Cappia is now closed. No forwarding address. Don’t know what happened but there’s no more lunch let alone dinner here on Market Street anymore.

After seeing many of my coworkers order from this nearby deli several times, I decided to try it out for myself. They have a pretty extensive deli/sandwich menu and some hot food items which looked delicious. However, customer service is definitely lacking. The woman behind the counter was not very friendly and seemed rushed/frazzled/bothered although I was the only customer there. She rang me up without saying a word or a simple«thank you». I heard they have a punch card, I was not offered one. But, I’m not sure I enjoyed it enough to return a second time anyway. The food: I ordered a Prosciutto Panini with pesto and mozzarella. It looked delicious, but after the first bite all I could taste was SALT. It was so overwhelmingly salty that it overpowered the delicious and probably homemade pesto and mozzarella in the sandwich. I could not finish the second half of the Panini. Although the rest of the menu looked amazing, it is very close to my workplace, and they run specials every day, I am not very tempted to come here again. Customer service is very important to me and I was pretty disappointed by their lack of it.

Basic Italian deli type restaurant. The menu is very basic and includes subs, panini, salads and there are special entrees. Nothing sexy about the ingredients. I was there for lunch and you have to order at the counter first. Then they’ll bring the food to you when it’s ready. The portions are very generous. I had house salad that included lettuce, tomatoes, olives, marinated mushrooms and roasted peppers. Grilled chicken was soft. Overall pretty tasteless salad that needed a lot of dressing. The inside is nicely decorated, it also looks clean.

I eat lunch here at least once a week. Friendly staff, great sandwiches, and even great hot dishes(e.g. chicken parm). Food is fresh, cookies are delicious, subs are huge, prices are reasonable, and they’ve got a punch card reward system in place now(buy 5 lunches, get 1 free).

Too expensive to be getting a stale roll with hardly anything on the sandwich. I have only tried the food this one time. Perhaps it was a off day?

My favorite lunch spot in Morristown, by far. All of their sandwiches and salads are delicious(and large portions!) They even have fresh hot food and soups daily! John, the owner, is super friendly and greets people on a first name basis — love that! :)

I lunch here often. You order at the counter, give them your name and they bring it to your table. No tipping allowed! John, the owner, works the register. After only my first couple of visits, John began greeting me by name — amazing memory and a very nice touch. Aside from the recognition factor, the food is amazing. In the non-summer months they have many delicious hot entrees. Their salads are fresh and delicious. They make the best sandwiches, bar none! All the breads they use are fantastic. Their homemade soups are out of this world! The soup and«lite» sandwich combo is substantial — huge bowl of soup and a hearty sandwich. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Simply the best sandwich in morristown. Pick any one out from the big board and you can’t go wrong. It’s the closest thing we have to a real Italian deli.

Went to cappia to grab dinner to go. The girl at the front was not very accommodating, it almost felt like we were bothering her by being there. She took our order, two subs and a salad with grilled chicken. When we left and got home, there was no grilled chicken on the salad and there was no dressing. The mozzarella was not fresh either. I thought the bread on the subs was stale. Disappointing, most likely won’t go back.

First time here last night. Overall I was very pleased. The small dining room had a nice feel to it. The waitress who served us was very pleasant and attentive. Delicious olive oil served with the bread, although we had to ask for it. Nice family style salad to start. Nice greens with plenty of tomatoes and cucumbers and nice mild dressing. The dinners were really tasty and ample. I liked that there were a large number of choices on the menu. Not just the usual Italian fare. Some really creative combinations made it hard to choose. I had enough left over for dinner a second night. One small complaint, they charged an extra $ 2 to add hot peppers to a dish. I found that to be a little offensive. Otherwise, I’d really recommend it.

Lunch. Went with a sausage and pepper sandwich. Tasty! Great, heart roll for the bread. Substantial pieces of sausage and peppers. Good size, but not too much. Decent pricing. Friendly staff. A deli that brings your food to your table … not bad.

I was excited to try the deli but after I did I was pretty disappointed. I waited 25 minutes for the wrong order. I understand that things happen and that wasn’t a big deal. I was mostly upset about the ingredients that went into my sandwich. Not very good quality ham or grilled chicken. Other than that the employees were very nice and the ambiance was lovely. I hope I have a better experience with the food on my second try.

Ordered the Veggie Wrap for lunch which comes with Grilled veggies. I felt quite sick as I was eating it and it really isn’t anything to rave about. I would probably not have them on my Top 5 places to call when I get hungry.

I went to Cappia Café for a private party, and it was a wonderful experience! The staff was so accommodating, handling a group of 30 adults and kids with no issues and no broken dishware! The food was outstanding… it was a sit-down lunch with multiple courses. We started with an amazing bruschetta topped with parmesan cheese, and then we had a salad followed by a pasta course of Penne Vodka. I opted for the Chicken Francese as my entrée and loved it, though the Eggplant Rolotini and Baked Tilapia also looked wonderful. The space was set up with a dining room and a deli counter, so I must imagine that a lot of people who work in Morristown come for weekday lunches.

Only had sandwiches and soups. Soups really good. Sloppy joe sandwiches are huge and tasteful. Any other sandwich extremely salty. Pricey yes. Okay food.

Came for a weekday lunch around 11:45 and dined in. Concept is you order at the counter and they bring your food to the spacious dining area or you could carry your own tray as I witnessed some people doing. Good selection of sandwiches. Had a roasted pepper, fresh mozzarella, and broccoli rabe on some awesome, crusty Italian bread. Sandwich was plenty big to share. Also ordered a small size escarole and bean soup which came in a big bowl with chunks of tomato, lots of beans and veg though I didn’t at all like the dry bits of(I’m guessing) ham thrown in. Wish I had asked if it contained meat beforehand. Comfortable atmosphere, nice place to relax and chat though it does get crowded at prime lunch time so get there early if you can. Prices seem reasonable too.

Cappia is the place to go for people at my company. We work within walking distance, so you will often find a big crowd heading over to grab lunch. My desk mate and I love the number 20, which is a chicken salad BLT. The chicken salad is not just chicken and mayo. It has mustard, honey, and celery, which really makes the flavor great. It’s our go to meal. On a cold winter day, they have some good chicken chili, which you can get over rice, or the sausage and peppers are delicious as well. Our company has ordered catering from Cappia, and not only was the quantity great, but the quality was amazing as well. I’ve never dined in, so I can’t attest to that, but love the deli portion of Cappia Café.

I’ve been here for lunch many times and you can’t go wrong with the extensive sub and sandwich menu on the deli side. Recently, my wife and I had dinner there and was quite good. It feels more like a family restaurant that I would like to take my kids to eventually. The food was good and a lot of it. The veal parm was tender and had the right amount of pasta. My wife’s entrée was the snapper special which was very tasty. It’s BYO so bring your best bottle of red or white!

Love love their paninis! The only reason why I gave them 4 stars is because of the price. A bit expensive.

We really enjoyed our lunch here on a weekend. They have a wide variety of items, and it’s all high quality made to order. While we have not been here for dinner, they close off the deli section and have a full blown Italian menu which we need to try. The owners seem very nice and welcoming too.
