$ 11 for this sandwich? Also had to wait forever for the staff to finish talking to each other before placing my order. I would never return. Enter at your own risk.

Good atmosphere, but rubbery Pastrami. A 1-star sandwich the past 3 visits here, but this time, a day after Thanksgiving, the worst! My friend left ¼ of his«lean» Pastrami uneaten. Too fatty! They charge for soda refills over $ 2.00, also.2 guys for lunch is $ 41.00 for 2 bad $ 12.00 -$ 12.50 sandwiches. Not finished, the pickle was mildew scented and tasted of mildew as well!!! I used to love this place but this is my 3rd bad to worst lunch! With Irv’s gone Italian/Jewish(why not add Mex/Chinese & Sushi), the only excellent NY Deli in the area is Eppes Essen in Livingston… on top of my disappointment on losing a staple of a stop for me, I had to wait 10 minutes to pay. They had as much staff as patrons but we had to wait for a check and also wait in big line to pay that check. I love the novel, retro candies, sundries but the food is a C– and the pickle an F. Houston, you have a problem. I will come back for a 4th visit looking for redemption but the trend line is headed for a sever thrashing and advisory to «sell, sell, sell!»

I had always passed the Morristown Deli but never went inside until today. I went with my dad for lunch, and it was great! The waitresses were so friendly and the food was delicious and comforting — my dad had the pastrami sandwich and I made my own with grilled chicken, homemade coleslaw, and melted Swiss cheese on toasted Rye bread(amazing!) Afterwards, we got some rugelach to take home. I’m pretty sure they said it was homemade as well! I definitely will return, and it’s always wonderful to be able to support the small businesses :)

Other than the Millburn Deli, this is my go-to deli for when I’m home. I love their Just Imagine Deli Meat Combos. I always order The Square: fresh turkey, imported Swiss cheese, and homemade Russian dressing on rye bread. The Russian dressing is so tasty that I usually ask for a container of it to go. Yes, the sandwiches are pricey, but they also pile the sandwiches high with good quality meat. I have also been here for breakfast and the food is solid.

This was a great breakfast place. It is a bit pricey, but worth going there. They have a ton of good looking smoked fish, lots of hard to choose breakfast items, and a friendly staff. I bet they also are good for lunch with the menu they have. I like the places with famous people on the wall, and a huge deli inside. We got the garbage omelette, bagel and cream cheese/lox dish, alaskan benedict and eggs/bacon and a bagel. Everything is great, I would go back. You get seated quickly and served quickly!

I hate giving bad reviews but this one deserves it. Whoever spoke to me on the phone was a complete sarcastic jackass. I said«can I place an order» whoever was one the phone said«I don’t know can you». I know I said the question wrong, but shut up and take my order I was in a rush. I had asked for something off the menu and he had no Idea what I was talking about, then he got my address wrong. oh and they are extremely expensive and the food sucks. I had ordered from here 5 times, keep giving them chances. no more chances. The delivery girl was really nice though, that’s it.

Terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible service. Came in and no one even bothered to come to the table for 20 minutes. Place was empty. Just got up and walked out and the cashier asked if «they ignored us.» Maybe he sees it often.

I ordered a egg/sausage sandwich(overpriced at $ 8.50) on a hard roll(which it certainly was.) Accompanying the sandwich was a side order of chunks of fried potatoes(that I did not order) which could be lethal if fired from a cannon. When I complained to the co-owner he offered no apology, and instead acted like I was at fault. The man needs to take a course in customer relations. As Poe’s crow cawed, «Never more.»

Great brunch spot. If you’re not a dog/cat person, it might not be the place for you. They cater to animals all the way to chairs, boosters, umbrellas and dog bowls on the table. They have doggy party’s and mitzvahs! On another note, tons of gluten free options– bread, French toast and more! We ran across the street to get a bottle of champagne and just ordered OJ.

sat outside at the«pet café» and it was incredible. the owner’s daughter brittany was super friendly, the food was good, our waiter was nice, and all the special things they do for dogs are so cute and fun. this is the #1 best place to eat with a dog that i’ve ever been to!

Not much on the décor, but fantastic on the food and service. My friendly waiter, Marcus, gave his suggestions and he was right. The brisket was a mile high, tender, hot and yummy. Onion rings were huge, light and crispy. A must get. Too much food to add dessert, which ruined my desire for rice pudding. Next time. Oh yeah, there will be a next time. Go here for great deli.

I used to work in Mo-town back in the day and at that time, I often had lunch at the Morristown Deli. I have always been a fan of their tuna melts. Although they are huge, I manage to polish them off because they are so delish. Omelets are good here, too. I’m thrilled that the Morristown Deli now has a cute patio for al fresco dining. Yesterday the weather was perfect so we ate on the patio, where they were playing nice music. And here’s the really unique part: our dogs joined us. This deli goes out of its way to treat dogs like family members… because they are. They have special doggie booster seats/umbrellas; color coordinated(blue or pink) doggie bibs, water bowls with ice and cucumber slices; and placemats for Fido. And of course, they have a special doggie menu. My baby had an appetizer of turkey meatballs with gravy. I was told that it was a special doggie recipe. He seemed to enjoy them. The staff on the patio were friendly and attentive to both humans and canines. There were plenty diners in both categories. All in all, this is a lovely spot for weekend brunch when the weather is nice. And I learned, for the first time, the the Morristown Deli is now open for dinner 3 nights. As Arnold would say, in his inimitable style, «I’ll be back!»

My Father and I, who are both from out of town and did not know where we could go to lunch looked on and found this wonderful place. His dog Mackenzie was with us and the people there were wonderful at setting a place for her and getting her fancy water and a place to lay down. When the food came, she had Chicken and rice soup and doggy ice cream, she ate with enjoyment. The food for the humans was very good too. All of the cured meats are made at the Deli and the Pastrami sandwich I had was out of this world. My Dad’s potatoes, with his omelet were some of the best he has had in years. I wish I had time in my trip to return for another one of the delicious looking entrees on the menu, unfortunately my schedule did no allow me to go back this trip, but be assured I will be back the next time I am in Morristown.

They have the weirdest hours and their food has gone downhill over the years! I have gone to pick up bagels and they are closed without warning. I continue to go occasionally because they do have good deli meat, but they are definitely not the cleanest place so I will go out of my way to pick up what I need if I am near another Jewish Deli! I never see them using gloves unless I ask them to put them on! I have gotten food poisoning twice(from other places) and so cleanliness is a must for me — but NOT for them! Good bagels, pastrami, turkey but stay away from everything else — ESPECIALLY if it is a prepared food! Tasteless quiche and potato knishes. White fish salad is too fishy! Try Burrini’s in Randolph! Really good food and much much cleaner! BTW call before you go!

We were already big fans of the Morristown Deli, and after this weekend, we are now super fans! The only meal we’ve ever eaten here is breakfast… and except for once or twice, we’ve ordered fish with a bagel and schmear. The«Benedict Arnold» features a massive slab of the moistest, most delicious whitefish ever, and the«George Washington» features nova salmon. Add to that, a huge portion of cream cheese(flavor of your choice), sliced onion, tomato and lettuce… it doesn’t get any better than that… or so we thought But, it did get better… This past Saturday, we took advantage of the nice weather and opted to take our young dog with us, with plans to sit at their«pet friendly» patio for some al fresco dining. We’d eaten outside before, but this was the first time we brought along our newly adopted dog. Before we were even handed menus, a comfortable dog bed and big bowl of water with floating cucumber slices was brought over for Abby. We thought… well, isn’t that a nice touch. But that wasn’t all. Next, we all got our menus, and by all, I mean our dog, too. We already knew what we wanted, and hadn’t planned on our dog having a meal, but we couldn’t resist, and the price was right(and, the price includes a donation to a local shelter). For the pup, we ordered a small portion of roast beef, sweet potatoes and gravy. Meals ordered, we relaxed as we enjoyed the atmosphere of dogs not only being tolerated, but actually being welcome. The pup seemed to like it too, as she settled right down on the bed, keeping an eye on the other doggie patrons. Before her meal arrived, our server came over to put a bib on Abby, and take a few pics for Facebook. Our meals arrived, and it was great to be able to eat in peace, while Abby enjoyed her own meal. Then, if all of this wasn’t enough, they offered her a generous serving of doggie ice cream for dessert! We were beyond wowed by now, and were happy to see the owner Mark walk into the patio area, so we could express our appreciation of everything he has done. On the way out, our pup took a splash in one of the wading pools they had set up. It was a hot day, and she was happy to cool off a bit. You are tops on our list for breakfast in Morristown, whether or not we bring the dog. Food is consistently outstanding, waitstaff is efficient and pleasant, and you blew us away this weekend, with how you welcomed even the four-legged member of the family. Thank you.

Jewish delis, Italian delis — life is good. I’m grateful to the folks who run these types of establishments because more often than not, they are awesome. I was craving liverwurst and Morristown Deli delivered. Soft rye, fresh onions, check. Side note: they sell some products(soaps, hand disinfectants, etc.) with profanity in the product name. All at a level for little eyes to see. Frankly, I found that to be very bizarre.

I’m not likeing the poor reviews here. We feel differently I’ve been ordering from the Morristown Deli since 1981, first visiting Mark’s previous location and now his Elm Street Restaurant. We eat in, take out, order treats for the High Holy Days, you name it. When hospitalized for an extended period in Morristown, my family brought me Mark’s roast beef and turkey sandwiches. Good for recovery. Not only are great sandwiches served here but they make a killer Lox and Onion Omelette in addition to other great breakfast treats. And if you like jewish geography, you can play an epic game here. Always someone you know from way back when who knew your parents, and their parents. So, while some people’s mileage may vary, we love it here.

Sadly, the two reviews with one-stars, below, are from folks who have not written many reviews. That said, I’ve had lunch here twice, and I concur with the criticism of pricing. I had a burger and coke for $ 15, before tip. The burger was big, but contrary to what I had heard, did not taste or appear to be ‘homemade’. It was a large, Costco-style patty. Décor is eclectic. Service is friendly. This place clearly has a following. Huge meat counter. I understand that there is a pet-friendly section, with a pet-oriented menu.
