cute neighborhood place w nice locals staffing the ice cream counter. unfortunately I didn’t like any of the flavors we tried, even my trusty cookies & cream isn’t good here. all their flavors are way too sweet, yet somehow bland, and too creamy. i’d still recommend trying it, because you might like it. but it really isn’t to my taste. now we drive 20 mins to zitas, which is amazing.

Ice cream is good, no issue However this review is about the food, or more accurately the service. Went there for lunch with 3 people. One ordered a wrap, one ordered a crêpe, and one ordered a waffle. The food tasted fine. But, the wrap came out first followed by the crêpe about 8 minutes later followed by what was supposed to be the waffle another 5 minutes later but was a crêpe. Told the waiter that this was wrong and he didn’t really care and I also didn’t want to wait another 10 minutes so kept it. Wasn’t going to say anything but the owner or manager, to his credit, came over and asked how everything was. I then nicely explained that we didn’t all eat at the same time because of the way the food was served. He had some really illogical reason for this and ultimately said that this was«the Creamery way» essentially saying take it or leave it. I then said the last order was also wrong and he offered no apologies or remedies other than«I hope it was good». I don’t know about anyone else but I like eating at the same time as everyone else in my party so I won’t be returning.

This is my first time coming here. I ordered cotton candy ice cream, it was okay. They also have fudge, gelato, crepes and etc. Next time, I would definitely try their crepes.

ALERT! While the hours of operation may show them as OPEN, call ahead if you plan to have lunch as they close the sandwich section at times when the ice cream section is open. Lunch– excellent Waldorf style chicken salad on a croissant or roll– 5 stars; mini pizza were very good –sized for children. Chicken panini on focaccia bread was very good. Gelato is delicious. Soft ice cream also very good. Hard ice cream is excellent. Creamy and fresh.

Best ice cream in Motown. Lots of flavors. I love Grandmas Kitchen Sink! Such a cute, charming café. A dessert staple!

Stopped in here on Saturday for dessert and had a small cup of Peanut Butter Cookies and Cream. SOOO yummy!!! They also serve food as well here and is a nice, clean ice cream parlor. Very friendly staff and I can see stopping in here for a nice cold treat from time to time when I’m in town. Large selection to choose from, too!

If you’re in Morristown, it’s a nice place to get ice cream and walk down South Street. But the ice cream itself is not the best.

Wonderful ice cream. And the meals are good too. But be aware! They don’t serve meals after 3:30.

This review is for the ice cream alone. I now want to try the café side of things to see how it measures up. Long and the short of it is, this is gourmet ice cream at a relatively nice price. There is an abundance of unusual flavors, some of which are named after local sights even though the names seem to be randomly assigned. New flavors are always coming out. I had some assortment of black raspberry ice cream with chocolate morsels and fudge, and it was near the bottom and about to be replaced by a different flavor. All in all, I had three flavors on a 2-scoop cone and tried 2 other ones. All of them tasted spectacular. Not too much sugar(a fault of many independent places), and incredibly creamy. Perfect temperature and consistency. Staff are very friendly, as noted with 3 flavors on a 2-scoop cone. I could see getting a pint and having them pack it in with 4 or 5 different flavors. I’m not going to lie. I often wax superlative about ice cream stores. But only for the deserving ones. This is a deserving one. I just wish it didn’t close at 8 every day. Guys? Dessert? It comes after dinner?

Never disappoints us. Ice cream is consistently delicious– we’ve chosen our favorite flavor a and they are great each time. I love the texture. Service and seating is great. Bathrooms are a plus to clean up my kids covered in ice cream afterwards. One more thing– came by once and I was hungry so I ordered a veggie panini and a salad. Surprisingly both were delicious. I was also jonesing for coffee– they make Asbury Park roasters– my first time having it. Aside from being so cold it was practically iced– it was delicious coffee! disappointed at the temperature but the taste is worth another try.

This place is splendid. I’ve only been in twice, but both times were great. They have all sorts of wonderful items: gelato, italian ices, frozen yogurt, soft serve, ice cream, fudge, and cookies… and everything is home made. And it’s all great. The line was long, but it was easy to find a seat and everyone was pleasant as could be. I had the cherry vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and some m+m’s. Delicious.

Super long lines means something super delicious at the end of that line… the black raspberry ice cream was waiting for me there. I also tasted the Piña colada flavor and it was equally awesome. If you go with others, make sure you don’t share. Everyone should get their own ice cream or else relationships might go sour after this visit. They also have gelato, fudge and other deserts but I can’t speak for any of them b/c I only tried the ice cream. See pictures attached.

We came in for an after dinner snack. I was so excited to find they had my favorite, «mint chip» but they also have cotton candy which I had to try, it was also very good, but i stuck with mint chip in a waffle cone. The ingredients were fresh and the service was great. I am only visiting Morristown for a week but I will be back again while I’m in this adorable town.

It is unique place that derive light lunch and ice cream at the same time. The right half is a café with special menu on weekend, such as chicken soup. On the left, you can find a full ice cream place. There are more than a dozen options from raspberry to chocolate chip flavor. I will leave the sugar free ice cream to you.

Definitely is hard to find a home made ice cream in Morristown(this is the only one). A bit pricy, but good quality of flavor(not too many, but good).

Very nice ice cream from a huge shop in Morristown. The staff is super friendly and give the place a great local vibe. The ice cream is amazing and comes in great flavors. The ice cream cake it great, and doesn’t have that terrible cake layer like most others. Just make sure to call ahead to get a flavor other than chocolate.

Stood in a decent line for my ice cream fix on a balmy summer Friday. It moved quickly, even with all the flavor sampling. Tasted jockey hollow, vanilla with pb and pretzels, but opted for a concoction with vanilla ice cream, cake icing, cookie dough, and caramel I think, something out of a diabetic toddler’s fantasy. It was yummy. The scoopers here were so enthusiastically friendly, it was a bit jarring. This is not exactly a complaint, I guess I’m just unaccustomed to the kindness of strangers. Oh, and the choc chip cookies looked incredible. Alas, I’m just one small woman. So much eating to do, so little time.

The ice cream: We really enjoyed the ice cream here and will definitely be back. We were offered to try any of the flavors(awesome service). After trying the cookie dough(I think the cookie dough is their own dough made at home), Kahlua Madness(which they received an award for and which was packed with Kahlua flavor) and the black raspberry, it was a hard decision but we finally went with the kid size black raspberry and the kid size After Dinner Mint. You can’t go wrong with any of the flavors at South Street Creamery, where the ice cream is decadently creamy and not full of sugar. Other menu options for which we’ll be back to try: Their coffee, which they use beans locally roasted by Asbury Park Roastery. Awesome.
