This is a trendy little sushi place in Morristown. They have excellent martinis and sushi! Their martinis are half price all day on Wednesday! I have tried several of their special rolls. My favorites are the Atomic Roll(love the chili soy paper it’s wrapped in) and the Jalapeño Salmon(I love spicy)! They seem to have somewhat recently added new special rolls and have gotten very creative with them. There are rolls with goat cheese, peanut butter, lemon, and banana. Special rolls range from $ 12-$ 16. Service is hit or miss here, and the restaurant is pretty small and the tables are crammed together. They also have a DJ some nights, which sometimes gets a little loud if you’re just coming for dinner. I really do love this place, but don’t come here too often because it gets a little pricy!

This review is not for the food. I have been coming here for a few years when I’m in town. I only order one type of sushi and that is the Chilean sea bass roll. The best! 5 star for the Chilean sea bass sushi. This review is for the waiter with the long curly hair. The last time I was here, he was just starting out and I thought he was a little odd and I even asked him if he’s okay and he told me it was his first day. I gave him a good tip even though he’s not friendly. I am currently dining inside and he is my waiter again. Still the same attitude. Not friendly. Did not even look at me in the eyes when I ordered like I am bothering him. Not once during my dining he ever came and said if everything is okay. There’s not a lot of customers inside. I also noticed he does talk to his co workers by the register and joke around. It’s his demeanor when helping a guest. It’s like talking to a wall or a person with no emotion. That pretty much sums up how is. The other girl that’s working here is much nicer. She’s not even my waitress and she smiled. It’s day and night between him and her. Next time I will request for another waiter. If he want to make good tips he better changed that attitude. I am very generous patron. His loss. UPDATE: I still gave him a good tip. Hopefully the management read this.

I enjoy this sushi restaurant because on balance it offers a lot, including a large menu, quality sushi, and decent ambiance, plus entertainment on select nights. My most recent visit, on the Monday before Christmas, however was only at best par for the course. The no better than satisfactory rating was due to wait staff that was lacking in attentiveness and seemingly pretty disinterested in working that evening. That’s always a challenge in the restaurant business — to hire, train and retain skilled and enthusiastic staff — but it makes or breaks a business. Keep at it.

OK, Morristown has almost ten sushi places. It is actually a bar serving sushi. Sunday, you will find half price sake during lunch time. There are several(10) sake flavor and out of curiosity I ordered peppermint sake. Normally, I would not drink sake with such strange artificial flavor in it. As I expected, it is sake with syrup like they put in vodka. sweetness covered everything else and the outside of cup is sticky. The sushi itself I’d fine and there is not much for me to remember.

My husband and I went here last night. Some of the best sushi I have had in a very long time! The spicy tuna crunch roll and the tempura ice cream were delicious.

Perfectly prepared, delicious food! Professional, efficient staff! Reasonably priced and comfortable atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back. The NFL roll was AMAZING! Basically it’s Buffalo wings with franks hot sauce and blue cheese dressing, celery and carrots all wrapped in soy paper with the most delicious white rice… Touchdown Sushi Lounge!!! A++ for flavor!!! Loved the shrimp tempura roll too! Bravo!!!

The happy hour specials for food used to be a really good deal but the menu has changed. It is now a couple dollars cheaper than the regular price but the portion is cut in half… so it’s actually a better deal to order from the regular menu which is way overpriced for the quality of the food. The pork gyozas were terrible. We ordered them fried but they oversteamed it first and then fried it… it was really mushy and fell apart when we bit into it. The dipping sauce was too much vinegar and not sweet enough. My husband usually enjoys the scallops… I think it used to be $ 7 for 4 scallops but this time it was $ 8 for 2. He said they were good enough for the old price but he would not order them again from the new menu. Rock shrimp tempura was fine… if you order the sauce on the side then the deep fried shrimp will stay crispy… if you order it with the sauce on it then it will be mushy. Not horrible but the sauce was more on the tangy side this time… I like it a little less tangy and a little more sweet. Portion was small but that was fine because I got sick of this dish fast. We also tried the totowa roll which was nothing special. Service was very slow, unfriendly and inattentive — our waitress was very hard to get a hold of because she was busy socializing at the bar. Would not return.

I’ve been here often and have always had a great experience, even when it’s been a busy night and I’ve had to wait(which is not uncommon and worth it). Recently went with a friend for lunch and had one of the weekly specials: The Aloha Roll.(Spicy tuna, albacore, avo, cucumber, fresh pineapple, wrapped in soy and topped with tuna, toasted coconut and pineapple chili sauce) amazing if you want a sweet option! However, this review isn’t even about the food. Tonight I ordered delivery and when it arrived I, like a moron, grabbed the wrong cash and gave the delivery man about three times more than what the order total was. I didn’t even realize. He sat in his car for a bit and then came back to return the money. I thanked him a million times but I thought everyone should know that are still honest people out there. To the man who delivered tonight Monday August 3rd thank you a million more times.

Average sushi, with above average prices. The service is forgettable with little to be desired. We’ve given this place a few try’s and they are consistent with their mediocracy. On the upside they do have a decent ambience with specials throughout the week. One of the only sushi places with a bar in the area, as most are BYO. There are plenty of sushi options in Morrisotwn and this doesn’t make the cut.

I’m not a fan of sushi restaurants(at least here in NJ) for several reasons. First of all, the menu is excessive. You spend hours looking through all the items. And then no matter what you order, they all kinda taste the same… That’s the experience I got from this place. But I do want to say they have the option of black rice sushi on the menu which gives a different perspective on the taste. When I saw the drink menu at first I was really excited. After trying a few I gotta say that I just don’t think sake in cocktails was a good idea. Or maybe the bartenders just don’t know how to make them… The ambience was romantic and intimate. Took me a while to realize that there was actually a DJ hidden behind a stand by the door.

Happy Hour from 3:30 — 6:30. When it’s this hot out you need something light and refreshing. Sushi is the perfect thing in this heat. Pepper tuna app is outstanding! Scallops on seaweed, is outrageously good. Especially at Happy Hour prices. Staff is attentive and professional in appearance. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for quality and service.

I don’t frequent Morristown often so I was looking for a lunch spot close to the courthouse and of course turned to trusty Unilocal, for options. Sushi Lounge was an option, it was close by and had adequate stars to warrant a visit. I stopped in around 1 p.m. and asked for a single seat at the sushi bar. The place is pretty big inside and already had a decent amount of tables seated for lunch. I browsed their lunch menu and noticed the best lunch special in sushi land, EVER: ANY two specialty rolls for $ 20.00. Boom. Sold. Most places offer a 2 or 3 roll special(with miso soup or salad) and the rolls are basic Maki rolls. Even though Sushi Lounge did provide this option, they also offered the $ 20.00 lunch special keeping me and my comrades who love more adventurous rolls in mind. I looked through the long list and wanted to try so many options– majority ranged from $ 12 – 16.00. I decided on two rolls which were each $ 14.00. *Directly from the menu I chose: Totowa Roll — spicy tuna, shrimp, avocado and tempura flakes, topped with salmon and spicy mayonnaise wrapped in soy paper. Bird of Pardise Roll — Made with salmon and mango topped with tuna, avocado and drizzled with sumiso(sweet miso) sauce and finished with shredded wonton skin. The Totowa roll was awesome. Perfect amount of spicy sauce and the tempura flakes are placed on top so you can remove them if you don’t prefer the crunchy element. The Bird of Paradise came equipped with mango(score! i normally try to search this out on the menu because its the perfect accompaniment in my opinion) and salmon and the sauce made it just a bit sweet which was a nice pairing with my spicy Totowa roll. This place would have potentially gotten 5 stars but the service was a bit inattentive and I think a bit more fish could have been added to the rolls. Negatives: My sushi was done before my miso soup was served. The sushi chef asked if I wanted it with my soup —(noticing I hadn’t been served it yet) and I had to tell him to hold off until it arrived. Don’t get me wrong, my waiter was super nice but I also never got a water refill(and I was in need of it) and after asking for it, I also had to ask for the check so I could get back to work. There were other servers there that were happy to help and my tummy was full of delicious sushi so all ended well.

This is my date night spot. My fiancée and I had our first official date here. We both love sushi but she’s the type that likes what she likes and isn’t very apt to change but that night I forced her to try something new. We did the spicy rolls she liked and«the optimistic roll.» It blew her mind… so now that’s all she gets… smh. All of their entrees are awesome, the sangria is the best. Things are a little on the pricey side so it’s not the every other Friday treat, but worth the service and ambiance we have been doing our date nights there for years and will keep going back.

With Valentines Day near approaching, why not spice things up with your significant other and head out to the Sushi Lounge in Morristown to try their new special, the Spicy Seafood Soup served in a freshly baked bread bowl. It, by far, is one of the best bread bowl based soups I’ve had in a very long time. Aside from the delicious concoction of the seafood medley which includes a very generous portion of lobster, the spicy Kimichi broth excites the senses and is guaranteed to please. The bread bowl is perfection. I’ve had other bread bowl soups where the bread bowl is left behind because of its bulkiness but this one is just the right size. When you do order it, and you will, give it a second to rest. Let the broth soak into the bread. You won’t regret it. So… Why not get it while it’s hot and get over to the Sushi Lounge and SPICEITUP!

Sushi lounge is consistently the best sushi place in morris county. They have awesome appetizers and even better specialty rolls. They are always on point, everything is always fresh, the service is timely and the portions are generous. You won’t be disappointed coming to sushi lounge. They also have a great DJ on Friday and Saturday nights. Their drink menu doesn’t disappoint either.
