Horrible customer service. Place an order through grub hub for a delivery. It was taking a while so I called the place up and the person I spoke with on the phone had a horrible attitude. Didn’t let me speak, was basically yelling at me on the phone. Then, has the audacity to charge $ 5.99 for chicken on a salad? Are you nuts? Never again.

Love the food. Quality is great. But – and it’s a big one. Last time we ordered the 5 piece chicken kabobs. $ 10.95 for 5 measly hunks of chicken – à la carte. The kabob meal has MORE meat and sides for about the same or less money. Total rip-off.

A great former Taco Bell now an Assyrian pita place soon to be a Dunkin Donuts. and enjoy this place. It is not going to be around for long as lease is up and it will become another Dunkin donuts, this is a great gyros place and that is a shame

I absolutely love this place. I’ve been eating here for at least 10 years now. It used to be named Olive Branch but changed its name when the son took over ownership. The service is great and the food is even better. It’s a wonderful place to stop for lunch. I LOVE the kafta kabob. You get a lot for your money! We also had them cater for my niece’s 1st birthday. Everyone complimented the food(kafta kabobs, shish kabobs, shawerma, filafel, rice).

Person working was rude and though the gyro was on special everything else was overpriced. $ 8 for a water, coke and fries. Will not return. He was rude and said prices on the menu was wrong because the menu was old.

I ordered a gyro and this guy(owner or owners son) shaved the gyros off the spit and MICROWAVEDIT(never turned on flame). Who does that!!! Keep in mind no other customer in the place. WHAT A DUMP! WORSTFOODEVER! Thanks a lot buddy! That’s why you have no customers!

My wife and I went to the gym tonight. We didn’t feel like going home and cooking so we went to Zuzu’s on Waukegan in Morton Grove. We ate next door twice at the Thai restaurant and saw that Zuzu’s had a buy one gyro @ $ 7.99& get one for free(I like a good deal) so we decided to go there and give it a try. The restaurant is a small Mediterranean restaurant. The gyro’s we had were ok, not the best, but not the worst. The gyro meat was very tender, but didn’t have that much flavor(a little bland). It was a good value to get 2 gyros for $ 7.99. I wouldn’t mind trying some if the other food as I enjoy Mediterranean food

What can i say, zuzu’s was the bomb, now it has turned more into, less than average. After the last time going there you could tell everything has changed. Everything was very authentic and top quality, they would give you bowls, steel forks etc, now everything is plastic and plastic and more plastic. I sent a lot of people here, but i can’t do that anymore, bc they were phenomenal, now it just isn’t worth the time. Sorry, i tried to like it one last time, but the food has changed and the quality is out the window.

First time here. Was going to wait until I got home to eat the awesomeness that was my gyro, but I hadn’t eaten all day so I decided to go for it in my car. Ladies and gentlemen, after eating, I was compelled to go back into the restaurant to explain to these guys how amazing everything was. And now I’m on here, hoping more people will see it. I have always been a big Hubs guy for gyro plates, but I have found a new place where my stomach can call home. Only thing I’m sad about is I didn’t have room to test the falafel, but I will be back for that. The meat was juicy and tender, with a perfect amount of crispness on the edges, all the veggies were extremely fresh, and the tzatziki was so good I got an extra side for later at home just for whatever.

This place sucks. I walked over from the nearby hotel a full 30 minutes before they closed in the ungodly cold only to be turned away by some guy in the back. Lame place.

No. Just no. 18 bucks for a chicken avocado salad? It was so oily and I could literally count how many chicken pieces there were and there was probably a fourth of an avocado in there in a bed of letuce. Gtfo. If youre looking for good Mediterranean food go somewhere else worth the price.

Great food at a great price and the owner is super nice. The fattoush salad is really n point and all the meats were tender and juicy. Yum! Great little gem in Niles.

Big menu for a small place. Solid vegetarian selection. All kinds of portions so you can try a little of this and that or order family style. Great food, on par with Pita Inn as far as fast-casual Mediterranean IMHO. The guy told me his father ran Olive Branch Express for years until he took the place and called it after his childhood nickname, Zuzu. Support your local pita place.

Had some free credits from Grub Hub, so I decided to grab lunch from this place today. I ordered a chicken kebab wrap with extra sides of tahini and red hot sauce. FANTASTIC! The menu was very big, with traditional«Mediterranean» offerings along with your Chicago-style food(i.e. Beefs, fries, gyros, etc.) They also had quite a large selection of fresh salads. My wrap was a great deal– only $ 5. When I walked in to pick up my order, the guy behind the counter was very friendly. The place was filled with what seemed to be «regulars», and he knew some of them by first name. It felt like a really great little place. I could definitely see myself coming here a lot. Thanks for a great lunch!

Stopped here for the first time on my way home after I took my car in for service up the street and WHOAAA what a great surprise. I had a Chicken Wrap with the sauce, onions, tomato and extra hot sauce on the side! EXCELLENT!!! The owner told me to make sure I ask for it Lebanese style since that is how he made it — ITWASREALLLLYGOOD!!! I could go for one now! If you want REAL, flavorful and spicy food, and friendly service, then I HIGHLYRECOMMENDZUZUWRAPS! If you like fake, chemically infused bland food, then your choices are endless anywhere in Chicago and within the United States.

Richard B., Mrs. B, and a Groupon visited Zuzu Wraps this fine Saturday at about 11:15 am, a quarter hour after this establishment opened for business at 11. The place looked kind of forlorn. The parking lot is pitted and cratered, none of the lights were on, their electronic menu board was turned off, the windows were dirty, and nobody other than ourselves was in attendance — except the counter man. We showed the counter man our Groupon, and he told us, «I don’t know nuthin’ about this deal. I can’t honor it.» We asked, «Huh?» He said, «Da boss comes in at noon. Maybe he knows about it. I don’t know about this deal.» «Are you not aware of the store deals?» we asked. «I’m not allowed to honor da coupon unless da boss says it’s OK,» he responded «Then why are you open for business now?» I asked. «We don’t open until noon. I just come in to set stuff up in the morning, and I leave at noon,» he responded. At that point, I demurred and did not ask him why the hours of operation posted on the front door and their literature said they open every day at 11 am. Now, nobody fools around with Mr. Cheapskate. We decided to leave for an hour, run some errands, and return at 12:15, which we did. When we returned, the lights were on, and another guy was at the counter. Was he the boss? This is a mystery that archeologists are trying to decipher. We ordered a couple of entries, and Mrs. B ordered a chicken entry which was turned down by the counterman: he said they were out of chicken. She ordered a gyro platter and I ordered a vegetarian platter. We sat down, waiting for our repast. The place was still empty, but I do want you to know that the place was clean: only the windows were dirty. About 20 – 25 minutes transpired, and our chef shouted to us that his creations were ready for our consumption. By that time, two other diners entered the shop — and perhaps the four orders were too much for them to prepare promptly. So we picked up our meals. Mrs. B said her gyros were good; and my order was not quite up to my not-very-picky standards. The falafel tasted a bit off, my serving was a bit small, and our bread seemed a tad stale. [We could have gone to the Pita Inn and gotten a superior meal quicker and for less money.] So, I cannot offer a high rating for Zuzu Wraps. Maybe I can squawk to the manager — whenever he shows up. Maybe he was out hunting for chickens.

I have always liked the food here. However, I purchased groupons(2 of them). I got to the restaurant and he said dine in only. He showed it to me on the coupon. But it was not listed under special terms, and you don’t know this until after you bought the groupon. The owner said«not my problem». I said, it’s your name and reputation. I then asked if I come by myself and don’t spend the whole $ 20., he interrupted me and said, «you lose«. I said, after today I guess I won’t be coming back. And he said, then I wouldn’t spend any money here at all if you feel that way. So… I left. I got my refund from groupon, and despite good food(though pricey), they lost a customer.(I’ve probably been there 25 times.) I don’t eat at an establishment that suggests I don’t eat there. And neither should you.

I spotted the new Unilocal deal and decided to try this place out. We ordered 2 Zuzu’s Favorite platters, a Gyros platter, and a gyro & potato zu-roll. After the Unilocal deal, we spent less than $ 30 for a good amount of food. The Zuzu’s Favorite platter came with 2 kifta kabobs(very good), 2 falafel, hummus(creamy, mild), rice, tomatoes, and onions — see photo. The gyro was okay, but the fries were perfect. Next time we’ll skip the zu-roll and instead try a zuzu wrap or oven baked pie. The guy sitting across from us seem to be really enjoying his zuzu wrap. If you want to see more pictures of the food, look on the old Olive Branch Express Unilocal page: I guess they are still in the process of transitioning to this new Unilocal page.
