We had not been to Laurienzo for a while and were lucky to get a table fairly quickly to celebrate some family birthdays. As usual the food was wonderful. Pizza is the safest option at any time. I had the shrimp salad special, which was good if not spectacular. I got some Old Bay spice and that helped.

This is a great place for wood fired pizza or pasta. I have had the Caesar salad(yum) and the lobster ravioli(the sauce is delicious) and of course pizza. The staff is attentive and they serve wine beer and cocktails. Good place to bring friends!

Okay so pizza and Maryland crab soup tastes great! When we got here though we asked to sit by the Window and the server gave us some bs that normally they sit 6 tops there when there was barely anyone else in the place. We came at 3 pm on a Friday so not very busy… Over all great food definitely give the place a try

I had some vegetarian pizza here the other night and it was GREAT! Definitely some of the best pizza I ever had, loved the char-grilled flavor and generous cheese. Service was fast and friendly, I will go back for pizza again and to try other things on their Menu.

Excellent food — the pizza with the caramelized onions are the best! The atmosphere is nice and relaxed and the owners are nice and accommodating. Great for large parties too.

Instructions: Menu is on the left when you walk in. Place your order at the counter, pay, take a number, and grab a seat. You’ll also need to pick up your own paper plates, napkins, and plastic utensils at one of the stations. Boxes for carryout are also available at the self service stations. Pro’s: + NYC wood fire style pizza(crispy on the edges) very tasty! really enjoyed the pizza that was decently topped with my favorite toppings(as it should since it was $ 2 per!) Cooked perfectly aka not burnt and sauce was well flavored. +Service was friendly and informative when we walked in +Large flat screen TV for entertainment +Outdoor seating available Con’s: –I agree with the other reviewers, the bruschetta did not have any flavor. It was just chopped up tomatoes with basil. Disappointing! –Mac & Cheese. nothing special and did lack flavor. I could make better for $ 13 –Dark lighting –Little pricey! I’ll definitely just stick to the pizza next time and skip the other menu items!

On our way out of #Baltimore #MD, we took a lunch detour off #I-70 into historic downtown #MountAiry. Two thumbs up! Wife had the pan seared scallops w basil pesto cream sauce over anger hair pasta w tomato garnish. I had the usual #Neapolitan pizza w basil, capers, chovies, & mozz baked w oak wood. We started w Antipasto: a’choke hearts, kalamata olives, pickled red peppers, mozz over tomatoes, & asparagus spears. Delightful. Plenty Of street parking along historic downtown. Easy access from I-70. Very friendly staff. Carly our server was warm, engaging, and very knowledgable of the menu items. Good depth in the menu w reasonably priced items. The pistachio gelato chocolate swirl punctuated our meal. Local brew(Pearl Necklace) had this full bodied Oyster stout. Appreciated the owner introducing himself to us – very special touch. Overall a superb dining experience. Glad to find Laurienzo’s. Highly recommended. Added it to our must-stops.

Way over priced and staff are borderline rude. Food is good, but not a great value for the price. Not much better than a California Pizza Kitchen but twice the price!!! Skip…

Great pizza, great atmosphere. Planning to start dining here more often… especially once the weather warms up and outdoor seating opens up.

Disgusting food. No seasoning on brushetta. Just chopped up tomatoes in a bowl. An hour to get two pizzas, with only about 10 other people in the joint really!!! Horrible customer service run by a bunch of rude obnoxious children, where are all the adults??? Mommy needs to give all of you a spanking. You would have a better dinner at pizza hut unless your an inbred redneck who doesnt know what good pizza is.

Burnt pizza. Mentioned it to the server and she offered to replace it, but it was edible. The pizza or a round of drinks should have been removed from the check, but it wasn’t. Not our favorite pizza place and we’ve tried them 3+ times. Atmosphere is great, but food needs to step it up a notch. Noticed a carry out customer refused her pizza too and waited for a replacement.

This was my second time here and the pizza is very good! It is a traditional brick oven style pizza so it does get a little crispy(burnt) around the edges. The pizza sauce has great flavor and the toppings taste very fresh. Price is very reasonable and the atmosphere is very rustic and cozy. There is an outdoor patio if you wish to eat outside. Service is very good too! I definitely recommend this restaurant if in town.

Went to Laurienzo Café about a week ago. Looks like a great place — it’s clean, the atmosphere and decorating are great, staff are very friendly. Unfortunately the food isn’t great. The food is edible, don’t get me wrong. The food is served hot, and the timing is great. The flavor just isn’t what you would expect, especially for the prices they are charging. My bf is a native Baltimore guy. He ordered the crab soup for an appetizer. He said it tasted off(he makes his own crab soup from scratch). It didn’t look very good, so I didn’t try it. I had the bruschetta for an appetizer. It looked great but I don’t think that there was any seasoning in it. It was just diced tomatoes. Ordered a pizza with chicken & basil. Toppings were $ 2 each — for the chicken that is fine, but I can’t figure out how there was $ 2 worth of basil on my pizza. Pizza was totally edible but just not very good. Same goes for the eggplant parm — it was edible but kind of mooshy. Summary: Service was great. Very nice & attentive wait staff. Bathrooms are clean. Great casual dining atmosphere. The food just isn’t on point. I’ve had better pizza and entrees from the freezer section at the grocery store, for a fraction of the prices on the menu here.

The food is amazing there. Boyfriend and I had a really good time there. Boyfriend had baked ziti and salad. I had the famous crab soup and lobster ravioli. And both of us had a glass of Italian red wine. The restaurant is really nice. Waiters are friendly and helpful. We will come back again.

This was our second visit to this restaurant. First time was amazing. This time, not so great. Two reasons. First, there were so many flies that it made it impossible to enjoy the food. I politely mentioned to the manager that they had a fly problem and he rudely answered«what do you want us to do, spray while you are eating?» It’s not fun trying to eat your pizza while trying to swat the swarm of flies landing on it. Thanks Matt!

Food here is awesome! Pizza is the best. Pasta dishes are really good. My fave is a chicken dish with broccoli forgot name. Staff is great. The place is always clean. Very cool décor. If you pop in for lunch they make a great salad with grilled chicken. Try their balsamic dressing. Nona cake for dessert. And they have really good coffee too.

My boyfriend and I had dinner at Laurienzo’s the other night for the first time, and we were quite pleased! The atmosphere is relaxed and very well decorated. Our waiter(I wish I remembered his name) was so incredibly nice and helpful! One of the best waiters I have had in a long time. The food was decent as well, the pizza was very well cooked, although it was a little too sweet for our tastes because we ordered caramelized onions– be careful with that if you don’t like sweet. I had scallops, and they were cooked very well. Delicious pesto sauce! The mussels were excellent as well. Overall we had a great time and will be back!

Fantastic homemade Italian food. Large portions. I had eggplant parmigiana atop angel hair pasta. Eggplant was grilled — delicious. We also had their firebrick pizza — equally fantastic. Interior of restaurant is very well decorated. Attentive, friendly, and attractive staff. No toothpicks. No hot sauce, but with the quality of the food, who needs it. Bar on main level and one on upper level. Go!
