Jae-Lyn’s Sweet Shoppe

Ok, so here I am writing yet another biased review. Sorry folks. It’s my hometown. It’s MOUNT DORA aka the best place on Earth. Yep, it’s so good that I moved and never want to move back. But it is a pretty darling little place. I strolled into this cute little shop last week with my brother. We found a great selection of Jelly Belly jellybeans, assorted gummies and great chocolates. It’s a standard candy shop in a tiny little space. I REALLY enjoyed my milk chocolate non pareils. They were smooth and creamy without any hint of waxiness. I bought a swanky I love Mount Dora mug for .99! It rocks. The best part about this place is that it’s owned and managed by a local Mount Dora woman. I didn’t catch her name, but she is just plain nice. I enjoyed our conversation about how she came to live in Mount Dora, her kids and her grandchildren. If time would have allowed it, I could have spent all day chatting about the town. She’s a great resource for things to do in the area too. Eat more candy boys and girls. You’ll be happier. I promise.
