We stayed at the Water park and came here for the Tuesday BOGO Buffet dinners. We got seated after a 20 minute wait(we arrived later than we wanted to), Service was excellent and the food was as expected — hot, good for a buffet with good choices — but not overly expensive quality. Those behind the counters were extremely helpful(especially behind the dessert counter!) and we never had to ask for anything. Will be returning — but earlier in the day as after 5:00 on Tuesday, with the BOGO, it’s quite a long line!

Good food but it is pricey. Great if you want a lot of variety & aren’t afraid of trying ‘new’ foods(internationally themed type foods sometimes). I LOVE the dessert choices & there are sugar free options. Tip: Avoid concert nights or during the concert.

The whining about this buffet is absolutely ridiculous. I had a $ 10 coupon from Soaring Eagle to dine at any of their restaurants, so I picked Aurora. I was worried about the reviews, but I said, it’s only $ 10, what could it hurt? Expecting the worst, I was seated. My server did a great job. Never really did catch his name, but I think it may have been Anthony? He was very attentive and helpful, even for things I didn’t ask for. The food was pretty good for a buffet. I don’t think it’s worth $ 20, but given that most people are gambling and using comps, I understand the inflation. I’m a little confused at all the whining about it. Everything was clean, well-maintained and organized. Food was rotated out routinely. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. There was ONE mistake where a member of staff cleaned off my table for another diner as I went up to get dessert. Thankfully, since the dessert was pretty good, as well as the food, I didn’t mind. I think a lot of people are giving bad reviews because they lost money and take it out on the rest of the casino’s operations. I lost $ 40, didn’t let it bother me. Geez.

They had stuffing that resembled diarrhea, rotisserie chicken that could be used as maybe a paperweight, rock-hard jello, limp salad ingredients, tasteless yet somehow EXTREMELY salty soup and rotisserie chicken, tilapia that looked like long chunks of lard cooked in vaseline, steak that was burnt beyond well-done, mushrooms that I had to put in my mouth to know they were mushrooms, a taco bar with stale chips and taco shells, macncheese(which usually seems hard to mess up at a family buffet) that the cheese was chunky and gross, mashed potatoes that were somehow watery and the list goes on and on folks … … unidentifiable many many many other things BOTTOMLINE: Golden Corral is about 10x better than this place and costs like $ 7 less, too! SECONDBOTTOMLINE: If you are stuck at this casino resort and need food, just take the local transit system to the nearest grocery store and/or order Papa John’s or something.(anything else)

My only complaint against this place would be the Price. They are trying to appear to be a very upscale buffet but lack in food quality. The dishes we experienced on Saturday evening were adequate but there was nothing outstanding that drew us back for seconds.(A true test of an excellent buffet) The best part of the buffet here is the dessert bar. The only reason we ate here was because we had a free food voucher… There is no way I would pay the nearly $ 20 if it were coming out of my own pocket…

I honestly wanted to talk to the manager before I left– it’s truly that bad. In a word Disgusting. Save your $ 20 and spend it at McDonald’s at least you know what you are getting. Barely recognizable food, all frozen and reheated poorly. Tossed boxes behind the kitchen and bar areas, I travel and eat out on a regular basis from 5* on down and this is my second trip here between them both, they don’t deserve one star. 2 o’clock bar food at best. If you are the HR Department of the Casino take note… You need a new manager, or at least manager for the buffet there. Disgusting, it showed in the faces of the people, as they looked at the food displayed in the troffs. It’s a good thing the Casino is making $$ the buffet wouldn’t last a day as a restaurant.
