Gwynn’s

Gwynn’s is totally not what I expected to find in the Harris Teeter shopping center. It’s essentially a very large local department store/​boutique hybrid. You know how Belk (falsely) advertises itself as having «Modern Southern Style?» Well, Gwynn’s is in fact the epitome of modern Southern style.
It boasts women’s clothes, shoes, and accessories, men’s clothes, kids’ clothes, and a home department. It’s your one stop shop for high end clothes and hostess gifts all in one shop. I will say that the clothes were sort of too «Southern» for me. I tend toward edgier designer brands, but my fashionable mom would have had a hay day here. Don’t get me wrong, I could still do lots of damage between the Jimmy Choo shoes and vintage Chanel bags but I’m not so much a Layfayette 148 lady. I was most impressed by the perfectly curated home department. Everything in this section would make an excellent hostess or wedding gift. The employees couldn’t have been any more courteous or welcoming.
If you are on the market for any investment pieces for your wardrobe, you should definitely head to Gwynn’s of Mount Pleasant. One final tip: they have GREAT sales. 70% off is unheard of and shouldn’t be missed. Happy shopping y’all!

What a find. Not at all what I expected next to a grocery in a strip mall. My wife was looking for some Tory Burch shoes. Found exactly what she wanted. Men’s suit selection was fabulous. All kinds of great extras. The sales people were very knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely come back.

Gwynn’s was the perfect store to find a complete outfit for my special occasion. The sales staff was excellent and the alterations made it fit like a glove. I also found a beautiful gift for the wedding. I would definitely shop there again for future needs.

Love this store. Always outstanding service and awesome sales from time to time. It’s the only store like it in Charleston.

I’ve loved Gwynn’s for years. Seeing as how we’ve been coming here to our beach places for decades, it’s been a long friendship.
You can find everything from shoes to purses, baby gifts to cocktail dresses. Even men’s stuff. And now they’re on Facebook!
It’s like a cross between a department store and a boutique — need a vase or a cheese plate to take as a hostess gift? Yep, you can find it here. Need a bathing suit or a cute Lilly dress? Yep, they have those kinds of things, too!
Good deals for the most part and nice staff. Definitely a «local» place I’m glad is still around all these years after my mom first bought me sandals and toys!

Nice, big, ecclectic shop. It has everything from nice glasses to clothing to bags to cosmetics to cookware to shoes… All nice, quality brands as well. It’s kind of like a cross between a big department store and a botique shop: smaller than a department store but bigger than a botique shop.
The owner is really nice and it’s a fun place look around.
I also got my makeup done by Kori Mahoney and she was fantastic!
