(I put this review on Facebook back in July when we were there; thought it wouldn’t hurt on Unilocal also). July 23, 2015 at 4:47pm After noticing a burning smell while driving down the mountain with a friend into town from our campsite, and checking the oil to see that it seemed to be empty, The Pit Stop was the first place we found. Although Chad was pretty swamped, he managed to fit my friend’s car in in about an hour and not only filled the oil and alerted her to a big leak(and gave us pointers on how to keep on top of it for the drive home to San Francisco), but also vacuumed the floor of the front seat of the car. The other place in town we called took my number and didn’t call back til the next day. No big, folks are busy, but I’m not sure what we would have done if we hadn’t found The Pit Stop. Thanks Chad!

Did not provide tire rotation or check tires even though I talked with them several times about doing it. When I asked if they did they said they had. They forgot to put parts back after the oil change, requiring me to return so they could reinstall. Later on a phone call they apologized about not fulfilling what they said they would do. They told me I could come back a third time to make it right.

This guy was really great. Great small town service. He helped me install a new radiator hose clip and tested my coolant for me after hours, no charge. I’d feel confident leaving my Dakar edition truck with him for repairs.
