While this place was absolutely beautiful and in a great location, we did not have a great experience staying here. There were a few issues with our room(dirty towel hanging on the bathroom door, no refrigerator, broken bureau, no extra toilet paper), but most of our frustration resulted from the man running the Inn. He made us feel like a thorn in his side and not at all welcome. It was not a becoming attitude for someone supposedly making their living in «hospitality». Our anniversary weekend didn’t turn out at all the way we imagined.

If you are looking for luxury, apres ski accomodations, look elsewhere. While the digs themselves are nothing special– the atmosphere is. Glenda, the Inn keep and owner, is the coolest and most hospitable host one could imagine: funny, quirky, warm and accomodating. This place reminds you of how winter sport mountain living isnt only about tearing up powder, crushing a burger and passing out: it is about hanging by the fire, hanging with other mountain goers, having a beer, shooting a game of pool, feeling the communal experience. The inn captures all of that, and is as close to slope-side as you can get without being on property at Mt Snow/Carinthia. The included breakfast can be as simple as grabbing a coffee and bagel to go– or mangia mangia on pancakes, eggs, sausage, homefries. We will be regular guests at the I@MS.

Glenda, the manager is a riot! She is great and will give you great tips(and stories!) on the area. Upgraded for free on empty weekend to suite looking over mountain and awesome auto fireplace. Sort of stuck in the 70’s/80s but the place has some charm and Glenda makes it great.(her scones are delicious but we missed out on the hot breakfast!) Awesome new patio to relax on. Worth it for a nite and the price was right!

In January 2012 I made my second trip in 4 months to the Inn at Mount Snow. The Inn was very accommodating for my group and most importantly close to the slopes. This time I stayed in Room 14 with the trundle bed. It was perfect for me. Glenda is a great innkeeper. We came in from hitting the slopes all day to vegetable soup and homemade chocolate chip cookies. The next day we had homemade brownies. Both Saturday and Sunday morning we took advantage of the breakfast with french toast, eggs, bacon, pancakes, homemade scones(you get the idea.) There is a Wii so if you have games bring them. We had a great time playing Taboo in the lounge in front of the fireplace. Please note however the walls are a bit thin so it is easy to hear your neighbors… Thank you for being the capstone to my 30th birthday month long celebration.

Myself and my wife stayed here for our 1 year anniversary, and we had an AMAZINGTIME! The view out the window in the morning is reason enough ALONE to stay here. The owners were BEYOND nice and they even upgraded our room! When you stay here be sure to inquire the night before about the homemade breakfast scones! They are the best!

Glenda the innkeeper is awesome. If you get a room with a view of mount snow, you can fall asleep with the fireplace on and wake up with an unbelievable mountain view. Everyone here was really friendly– from the other guests to the cook, who insisted that we take some fresh, homemade raisin scones with us on our X-country skiing trip that day. Definitely a reasonable place for the price. There’s a fireplace in the mainroom which they keep roaring at nighttime, and a pool table and lending library for communal use. I came here for a weekend vacation grumpy and frustrated with my normal routine– and couldn’t find anything to complain about. Also, from here you can march through the snow next door to the pub next door at the Lodge at Mount Snow(which also has a fireplace, and the odd assortment of bar regulars)– and can return back to homey, nice accomodations. Highly recommend.

My husband and I were looking for a quick getaway(not for skiing) and after doing a little reseach we decided on this inn. From the front it doesn’t look like much but once you’re inside it totally changes. We stayed in a room with a view of the gardens and Mount Snow. The place was great and Glenda the inkeeper couldn’t have been better. The room was beautiful and very relaxing, the common rooms were attractive, filled with collectibles but definitely not over the top, really homey. We will definitely be back soon.
