The staff is great the pizza is not. The first is a bit over cooked and the cheese wouldn’t stay on the pizza.

Loved eating in this cute little pizza shack. My husband and I are locals who had always been too busy to check it out but we were missing out! It’s genuinely great pizza, handmade and not like the other processed greasy crap in town. Price is a little high but it’s worth it if you want great tasting pizza!

Mr. Pizza is a throwback to the typical 1980’s pizza parlor. It’s a mom and pop joint that’s been open here in Mt. Vernon since 1969. It looks like it got remodeled in 1984 and then frozen in time. The booths, carpet, and wood grain paneling are in perfect shape. There is a Ms. Pac-​Man game in the back. The staff was very nice. The pizza I’m sad to say was ok. It really wasn’t bad, but was hoping to be impressed. It was very, very cheesy. And the pepperoni even had a little kick to it. The sauce was bland, and the crust was like a pre-​made pizza crust from the supermarket. It was kinda nostalgic but, it’s not the best pizza I’ve had in this town.
