West Wind Motel

My puppy peed on a tree right by my room. They say I can’t stay there anymore. I will never ever stay here again… My puppy peed on a tree. OMG! No stars but Unilocal won’t let me.

This place just flat out sucks ass. Toilets are plugged and the staff are truly the biggest idiots I have ever encountered in the motel business, they are as rude and disgusting as there rooms are. I would not recommend this shithole to anyone. Plus they over charged me fro my room and when I called to get it squared away the gal hung up on me. Real pro there I’ll tell you. So in closing DO NOT RENT A ROOM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT NO WORKING TOILOET AND NO AC AND DINOSAUR TV’S. THIS PLACE IS UNLIKE ANY MOTEL I HAVE BEEN AT. I WILL SLEEP IN A PARK BEFORE THIS CRAP HOLE IF I EVER GO TO MT VERNON AGAIN.

As needing a last minute place to stay we had this as our choice from the street view.
It isn’t a bad looking location. I asked for a room for 2 people, 1 night. They required I pay in full right away the $ 80 which included tax, pricy considering motel 6 and etc a bit down the way were cheaper (finding out after) but I also had to pay a $ 50 deposit which is supposed to be refunded tomorrow. We shall see.
This location is not worth the price at all. There is no ice machine on the grounds. Also the rooms have no air conditioning what so ever just a stand up fan to put in front of the single open window. Furthermore there is no clock in the rooms for time and the phone is on the other side of the room away from the TV. There is no place to put your luggage but the floor.
In the bathroom there is a podium sink with no counter space what so ever to lay anything down. The towels aren’t even a standard size to dry with, you need 2 – 3 to dry and cover. There also is no vanity area for table, chair and mirror.
This is absolutely not worth $ 80 by any means.
I’m very disappointed especially when they do not inform you of any of the things the rooms are lacking. I will never return nor recommend this place.

this motel is nasty rude, and just terrible service the beds are crap depends what room you get the owner is chinese and she is very picky on who she lets in i had to stay their with my husband for two nights. their is only one house cleaner maid and the owner has her working ²⁴⁄₇ not kidding the owner has wifi but you have to sit right by the office to use it. and real ant infested and their is a pedifile staying their we found that out the hard way our daughter told us. not safe place to stay. one star if i could i would give zero stars

Depending on your needs, it can be a 2.5 or 3.5, it’s your typical motel and fine if you’re not picky. It’s obviously a notch down from a Super 8 but it really does feel like a 60s era, and while the room I was allowed to check out, did seem to come w/​new bedspreads, the rest was stale. Old paint, dim lighting, gigantic thick TV’s, the generation before flat screens lol.
hey for $ 70 taxes all in, it’s in a central location at least, and not off in the woods or dodgy area lol.
Nice owner though.
