I just drove thru, ordered a double but got a single, bad-looking, covered with burnt stuff from the grill steak in my sandwich. Sauce is too sweet too. $ 9.78 for that?! Never going back.

Carl’s Jr. used to be better twenty years ago, but this location really sucks. I think it’s owned by the cheap bast***s that own a number of franchises on the peninsula. The few times I’ve eaten here in emergencies(never again by the way) I’ve always had to special order my burger to be freshly cooked. The reason why is because here, like most Carl’s, they keep the patties in the heating bin until they sell. Unless it’s lunch time and the food is moving you get a lukewarm old burger. They say they throw them out after 6 or 9 minutes, but that’s a bunch of crap. The last time I was there I got a big burger fresh off the broiler. The lady in the back was wiping down something with a dirty rag and seemed pissed when she had to make a fresh burger. She pulled if off the broiler early and it was a bit raw. She also didn’t wash her hands after handling a filthy bacteria infested rag. I ended up getting so sick the next day, just thinking about that putrid restaurant the next 6 months made me almost puke. By the way their breakfasts have always been the worst in the industry. If your near this location, eat at the deli next to it– WAYBETTER. YOUSUCKCARL’S FRANCHISEOWNER!!!– By the way, I complained to Carl’s corporate after this happened and the fudgepackers in corporate didn’t even have the decency to give me a coupon towards another meal. I hope Carl’s goes down the toilet– cheap scumbags.

Not the most fantastic Carls’s experience I’ve had. This store is lethargic, the staff are disorganized, they pile bacon on the counter waiting for someone to order it, and the floors were dirty. I enjoy Carl’s so I’d love to see the District Management step in and help revive this location. * shift supervisor Jose was pleasant and the store is a little cleaner than my past couple visits.

The food is fine, but this is the slowest fast food place I have ever been!!! It is always empty, yet a simple order always takes more time than I have. I am currently waiting more than 5 minutes for a single sausage biscuit. Nobody was here when I showed up, so I know they aren’t working on other orders.

I like this place! The staff that I see in the morning are excellent! They get my order to me quickly. The place is nice and clean. Food is consistent. But that is to be expected since this is a nationwide fast food restaurant. They have to be consistent or they lose customers!

I go here far more often than I would like to admit. It’s really hard to say a Carl’s Jr is better than another but the workers here are all really nice. Probably one of the friendliest’s fast food crews I’ve seen. I have had my order messed up every now and then which does hurt their score a bit(1 patty in a Big Carl, missing items after getting my bag, etc.)

Standard Carl’s Jr. They have the $ 5 Big Carl meal which is nice, but that burger isn’t particularly amazing. Sometimes it’s overcooked here, but usually it’s decent. It’s not the best burger out there, but that’s not what they need to be.

Went through the drive-thru to get a milkshake for my daughter. No one else at the drive-thru. Drove up to the window, only two people working, but only one customer at the counter. Took a couple minutes for someone to acknowledge me at the drive up, then asked what I ordered. Really? Ok someone had driven up behind me, but I was still the only one at the drive up window and I had only one order. So the cashier took my money, then went to make the milkshake as the other person gave me my change. By the time I got the milkshake, more than 10mins had passed since we drove up to the window. How do I know that? My daughter was going to her dance class so I had my eye on the clock. Fail! They weren’t even friendly.

I think my annoyance with this place stems from the awkward parking lot layout. I’ve gone through the drive-thru before and gotten stuck in horrible«we don’t know where the line is so we’ll just block the entire parking lot» traffic. And to top it off, that day I believe my criss-cut fries were cold. Cold fries are always annoying. Today I went back to eat inside. I had some time to kill and a book to read and they serve Coke Zero(my kryptonite), so why not? I was pleasantly surprised by the restroom — not only was it sparkling clean, it actually smelled nice too. Say what? I ordered a special that came with an Oreo ice cream cookie sandwich. They forgot to bring it out, even though it was on the receipt. Thankfully before I had to leave, I realized that something was missing — that Oreo sandwich was a large part of the reason I’d ordered the special. Do NOT stand between this chick and her ice cream sandwiches. I wound up having to take my meal to go. The bathroom was probably the most impressive aspect of my experience. I don’t think I’d go out of my way to come to this Carl’s Jr. if I had a craving.

6:30pm Friday evening and starving. The menu is huge and there are many selctions with Turkey, various cheeses too. Most of the Carl’s Jr. Restaurants are combined with a mexican restaurant called The Green Burrito. Have not tried any Mexi at Carls.(The Green Burrito is legendary down in Los Angeles, at the original store in the city of Hawaiian Gardens). I tried the Double burger combo; comes with two juicy meat patties and tucked between the bun’s, one finds fresh green lettuce and swiss cheese! Huh, what? Carl’s will let you substitute other cheeses? yes Paris! So, I asked for swiss cheese instead of american cheese and was so granted. The new thick cut fries with a bit of skin was refreshing and worthy of the name. You also, get a drink: cherry cola for a bandido such as I. Customer serve: first rate and upbeat. Décor: std, very clean, well lit. The centrally located 46 inch LCD tv is a bonus. Parking: easy.

RIPOFFSCAMALERT for this location — Buyer beware!!! What strikes me about this location is the sticker on the window that says«Pay less with cash!». The little money-grubbing shenanigan they play is that if you order more that $ 5 worth of food, they reward you by adding a .56ETF fee to your tab, which is «refunded» if you pay with cash. The ETF fee is just an arbitrary fee that they make seem like a feel-good refund if you pay with cash, but they just add it out of the blue to begin with. Surely, my debit cash should spend as well as regular cash — but you are penalized here to what adds up to about a %10 surcharge on an average fast food meal simply for using your card! WHAT A RIPOFFANDSCAM. Carls, this makes me want to drive through twice so I don’t go over your $ 5 limit and get charged — or not — why bother — it is just mediocre at best anyway. Find another fast-food that deals squarely with its customers. Take your cash scams and shell games elsewhere.

Tried this place twice– Once the carls junior side. Average for them which is not saying much. would be two stars for lack of welcoming guests, but then today I had displeasure of trying green burrito side. ordered nacho cheese taco. First they give me regular taco. then when i went back to ask if that was there nacho taco, they give me a «nacho cheese taco». It had only seriously 1 millimeters(1⁄100th of a spoon’s worth of WATERED Down Chedder– NOTNACHO cheese) When I asked about this they said that WAS their«SCOOPS» worth of «Nacho» Cheese. Definately not going back to that hole in the wall…

Fast food is fast food, and it’s not really the best for you. Carl’s is a decent example of fast food, even if they do have the nasty cheese that doesn’t melt. *shudder* What makes them stand out is Green Burrito. As odd as it sounds, their hard shell beef taco is *delicious*. It’s certainly heads and shoulders better than Taco Bell, and as good as any ground beef taco as I’ve gotten at a lot of more authentic Mexican restaurants. The bad note regarding the tacos — there always is one — is that many times I’ll get them and find that the cooks have just given me a dab of meat, and filled up the entire shell with lettuce. It’s times like those when I go back to the counter to actually get a reasonable amount of meat. They also have Diet Dr Pepper and Minute Maid Light for those of us who appreciate having a choice other than nasty Diet Coke flavors if we don’t want sugar.

THISLOCATIONCHARGESADDITIONALFEESFORUSINGCARDS. Look, food — which was decent enough — aside, I try and be an informed consumer. That means I know my rights when it comes to things like credit/debit card usage in stores. MasterCard & Visa require that retailers who utilize their services abide by a Merchant Agreement. One of the qualifiers of the Merchant Agreement is that a store cannot charge an additional fee for using a credit or debit card. In other words, the amount a consumer pays should be no different when using cash, debit or credit cards. This Carl’s Jr. — and from what the store manager told me, other CJ franchises as well — have come up with what is called an «ESF» fee. The fee works like this: Any transaction over $ 5.00 gets hit with a $ 0.56 fee regardless of payment method. That, in and of itself, is completely ridiculous. However, if you use cash to pay for the transaction, you will be refunded $ 0.59. This means that using a card is always $ 0.59 more expensive than using cash. That’s a merchant violation as I understand it. And if it’s not a clear violation, it’s a loophole meant to circumvent the rule, plain and simple. When I asked the store manager about it, he told me that it wasn’t a fee that they charge for using cards because the $ 0.56 fee is levied against all transactions. Right. But if I would have used cash that fee would have been refunded and then some. Look I’m not an idiot. Consumers are not idiots. We don’t deserve to be treated as such. We also don’t deserve to be charged more because a business doesn’t like the terms of their merchant agreement. If you disagree with the terms, don’t use the service. What you absolutely should not do is try and circumvent the system to the detriment of your customers because that just makes us think that you’re shady, you don’t care about us, and you don’t want our return business. I will not visit this store again until the ESF fee is removed. I encourage other educated consumers to do the same.

I generally don’t eat at Carl’s Jr. too often but I decide to go in and have a bite over the weekend on Sunday at 9:50 am since I had 10 more minutes before the store that I was going to in the same shopping area opened. Wow! I was impressed at how clean and sharp this place is, bam totally on point. While I waited for my quesadilla & Fanta strawberry I looked around. I was so impressed with this place I walked all around and looked at the artwork inside, which was really nice and had nothing to do with food or Carl’s Jr. or the Green Burrito. I noticed a 2009 safety and cleanliness award hanging on the wall that this place is well deserving of. I also notice a bronze plaque with short synopsis of the founding of Carl Jr.‘s restaurants. Up on the wall by the ordering area there are 2 huge nutrition posters. On the outside windows there are 4 or 5 giant Carl’s Jr. food posters. Several outside tables with very clean red coca cola umbrella. This place is nice. I felt very happy sitting in there eating my quesadilla. Now come on really, how often do you actually feel happy in a fast food place? Well I felt happy that morning in the Carl’s Jr. Green Burrito. Now chalk that up as a first.
