I went to Dr Khoo when I was about 5 months pregnant, prior to that I was seen by drs at PAMF. I switch insurance to AIM Anthem and many drs don’t take that insurance since it pays so little. I was determined to deliver at El Camino MV so Dr Khoo was the only dr I knew who was affiliate with the hospital, after many hours taking to the rep at Anthem. I have to applause Dr khoo for doing what she does for so little money. At PAMF, they charged my old insurance $ 450 for each appt, regardless if it was 5 mins or 30 mins. Dr Khoo only gets paid like $ 30 per appt under AIM and she still does it. Sure I had to sometime wait 30 mins for an appt every month during pregnancy, but I had to do the same at PAMF as well.

I have never had a doctor make me feel less important in my life. I don’t know why I went to her for almost three years. I kept thinking it’d get better, but it never did. Most recently, I had her first appointment of the day, and she was 45 minutes late because«she had to find parking.» She then rushed my appointment to 15 minutes, and ignored/dismissed my questions because she was short on time, and then said she’d call me in 2 weeks with results. Three weeks later, and after paying two bills for lab results/her fees, I still hadn’t heard from her. I made three phone calls and left messages, and it wasn’t until I cried to Andrea, her assistant, that she called me back and left a voicemail with the lab results. And no, they were not innocuous results. She’s also forgotten to refill my prescription, and despite the fact that I’m in my mid-20s and not at risk for anything, she refuses to refill my prescription unless I go in annually for an exam, when the norm is two years. I’ve recently switched to PAMF and cannot believe the improvement in how I feel as a patient there, and how attentive the doctors are to my concerns.

Dr. Khoo is only at this location on Tuesdays. She is super busy so of course it is appointments only. It is located right across the street from el camino hospital. Parking can be a nightmare so come early. Her main office is in Los gatos. The office is shared with other doctors so dont expect to much. I love Andrea her assistant. she is so friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. I usually have my appointments in the morning and dont have to wait to long to get in. But I have waited for an hour or so to be seen because Dr. Khoo was running late because of the crazy parking. She is very friendly and answers whatever questions I have. Im a pretty quiet person so i sometime wish she would just spit out information for me instead of having to ask them. My appointments usually doesnt last long, in and out in about 5 min just to check the babys heart beat. Overall i am really happy with Dr. Khoo and is looking forward in delivering with her. She is a contracted dr with El camino hospital in mountain view and los gatos. she is also contracted through the AIM program which helps me out alot. I would totally recommend Dr. Khoo
