Quick, convenient and affordable for a men’s haircut ($ 9).
I have been going here for 2 years now and always have left satisfied. Definitely recommend for any Asian, Latino and caucasian hair. You can walk in without any appointments.
I cannot speak for the women’s prices or women’s haircuts but it seems that most women make appointments here. And from my experience the men to women customer ratio is about 3:2.

This place is awful!!! what ever you do do not go there! Yes, this place has been there for many years, but they are only incompetent enough to cut children or straight hair. I don’t think I would even take kids here.
My mom came here to get her roots colored, light brown and there was an Asian lady that was persistent in slapping black on her hair, she sent my mom to this other Asian guy and he ended up slapping the black color on my moms entire hair and NOT the roots. Then he got the color all over her forehead and in her back.
I wish I could of been there, my mom ended up paying them, but was so mad and just left and never returned. Let me tell you I would have NEVER PAID! if I had to go to a salon in that area and have a decent hair cut I would go here:

Vicky is the best and very nice! and the prices are the same or even cheaper, but ask for Vicky I’m not speaking on behalf of the other stylist at Lam’s.
Please, do stay away from this place, actually this place should be taken off and make room for something more exciting, like Sanchos Taqueria, yum. fish tacos…

Quick and clean. I am usually in and out generally in 15 min (10 min wait and 5 min haircut).

Good location, fast service, hair cut was nicely done, inexpensive. Only star i did not give them is that they take only cash and I had carried none. Should have mentioned ahead when I called or on Unilocal

New cuts is great when I need a quick and inexpensive haircut. I have been frequenting this location for about 10 years. Granted, the place isn’t beautiful, and I never walked out looking the way I do after paying for a $ 30 haircut, but what more can you ask for for $ 10 (including tip)?
The service is friendly, if a bit rushed at times, but I have always been seen within an hour, even when the line has made me cringe.

I have been going to this place for more than a year now. Ken and Jenny are nice people. I am done usually in 15 mins and get a decent haircut every time. Prices cannot be beat.

This review is for the New Cuts located on Rengstorff, not El Camino.
Ken has been cutting my hair for over 20 years. This is a great place to get a quick, decent cut the way you ask. I tried other places closer to home and had so many bad experiences where they cut two or three times what I had asked that I now make the drive back to Ken and Jenny.
This place isn’t fancy looking which is great because they don’t charge fancy prices. In fact, in over 20 years the price has gone up only $ 1. If you like the cut, consider a decent tip to compensate!

I’ve been going to this place for years! $ 9 bucks and I’m outta there with a good haircut. I think this is the best kept secret in Mt. View.
A friend told me about this place and I started going there. I’ve spent $ 20-​$ 50 for haricuts at other places (salons, Santana Row, etc), and believe me, they aren’t as good as this place.

Note that there are at least two places named New Cuts in Mountain View which are not affiliated; I’m reviewing the one on Rengstorff Ave. next to the Pizza place, 7 – 11, and Laundromat.
I’ve been getting my haircut here for years, driving all the way out from Morgan Hill, then later from San Jose and Sunnyvale after finding out that an acquaintance comes all the way out from Las Vegas to get his haircut here. I also later found out that my relatives from Napa were regulars, despite the long distance.
Ken and Jeany are the best, and even though the haircut only costs $ 9, I often tip $ 6 more because of how good they are. I used to pay over $ 15 for haircuts, but they weren’t as good as the ones I usually get from Ken or Jeany.
At first, I mistakenly went to another place called New-​Cuts because I didn’t know the exact address, then had to find this New-​Cuts to fix the terrible haircut I received at the other one. Jeany generously offerd to re-​cut my hair for free, even though it was a totally unrelated competitor with the same name who messed it up, but I insisted on paying for my second haircut that day because of the wonderful job she did.
I continue to come here for my haircuts, even though there are other places much closer to where I live.

my mom told me to come here. seriously dude the guy spent like 7 minutes on my hair. if even that much. i came home, washed my hair, this guy missed a big chunk on the bank of my head. whatsup w/​these barbers man? does the low price give them an excuse to be really sloppy and not take a little of time to do someone’s hair? if im payin 10 bucks, i’d expect at least 15 minutes worth. this guy didn’t even give me 10. my sister had to fix my hair up for me. and he didn’t do what i told him to. his english aint so great so u’ll have to be specific w/​this man. as goes for his wife. i swear she spent less than 5 minutes on a customer’s head. ridiculous!
