If you like Elvis, go to Rainbow Diner. Elvis memorabilia lines the walls and ceilings. The food is good. The pies look amazing. The meringue is mile high. We enjoyed breakfast. Omelettes, grits and biscuits or toast.

A local favorite! This café is small in nature but big on food. You have to eat here! Breakfast served all day except for pancakes and French toast. Friendly staff and great cooking. What more could you ask for. Cash or checks only! No credit card or debit cards.

Great home town cooking and great prices. You will never be disappointed.

Home Town cookin’. If you want to avoid all the fast food chains and experience some local options, this is a good choice. Great plate lunches as well as breakfast. While visiting our group ate here 3 times. Friendly folks.

This place was right across the street from where we were staying and was an easy choice for breakfast. They have a made to order omelette where you select on your sheet what ingredients you want. we wanted to eat back at our place so I got to go orders. I was able to walk in, order, and then go back across the street to wait as there is no waiting area without sitting at an actual table.
We got a couple of the breakfasts, keeping it simple. The eggs were nice and fluffy and the bacon was on point. However, what brings this review down was the sausage patties. They were pretty over cooked and tasted like something out of the frozen section at the grocery store. Avoid the sausage and you’ll be in good shape. Oh ya, and as others mentioned, they do not accept credit cards and are closed on Mondays.

Fast, friendly service. Charming atmosphere. Terrific burger and ice tea. Located in historic part of town. Perfect.

My family LOVES this place!!! We enjoy getting away for the weekend to Mountain View and when we do… we ALWAYS stop here for breakfast or lunch!!! We have gone here for YEARS and have never had bad food or service. The BEST burgers. We have driven to Mountain View from Heber Springs just for the burgers!!! What ever you ladies are doing… you are doing it right!!! We just love you!!!

MMM breakfast before heading home. Country fried hamburger steak and eggs and home fries cooked to perfection. No wait and attentive waitress. Owner stopped by table to say hi.

Heck yeah! I’d go back.
It was standing room only at 12:30 on Sunday afternoon. A man in the corner gave me the nod signaling that he and the wife were leaving and to get the table. We traded places, him at the register and me and my wife at his table. He joked that he left us some coffee, a little hometown Arkansas humor.
It’s an old building, old furniture, a few flies hanging around. Crowded and noisy, filled with locals and tourists. I knew we were in business when an elderly gentleman with full beard and overalls bused our table. See picture I posted of him.
Wasn’t long and we had coffee and our orders in. Not exactly Sunday Brunch in Connecticut. No Mimosa’s or Croissants. We did have fast, skillfully prepared breakfasts that will keep going way past lunch!
All in all a great place to eat. Small mountain town hospitality at a great price.
Don’t expect to pay by credit card!!! They accept checks and cash only…

Ate there twice last weekend and our family of 4 were all pleased!

Be forewarned that they do not accept credit cards. Cash and checks work here. I am not sure about out of town checks however.
Food is good, nice portions, home style cooking and reasonabe prices.
We were here for dinner.

They serve the finest Sysco offers. I had the chicken fried steak special and it was less than average. The entire plate was covered in gravy that was bland and unappealing. The size of the menu is evidence of their reliance on their freezer. I would pass on this and try another place in town.

Breakfast, lunch or Dinner, it’s all there. Good home cooked meals and great prices. If you go away hungry it’s your own fault. Recommend Chicken Fried Steak… Melt in your mouth and definitely fresh.

On a recent visit we enjoyed a big delicious country breakfast (served all day) and a chat with the delightful lady who owns the place. Well worth a stop.

One of the most vegetarian friendly restaurants in the region, offering a range of veggie burgers (the jalapeño version was very tasty) and meatless side dishes. The pie fridge is a sight to behold.
