This location has shut its doors and closed for good. I think the terrible parking at San Antonio Place drove away customers.

Unfortunately this location was permanently closed as of 1⁄23 … we drove to the Palo Alto location but were disappointed to find that this location was also closed. The website no longer has any Northern California locations listed … the closest location is in LA. Not sure why this chain has shut down operations here, the Mountain View location was always busy. We have been spoiled by Pizza Studio … nothing will ever compare to the awesomeness that was this restaurant.

Loved this place! Came here today for lunch, only to find out that they are closed for good. Not sure what happened. Every time we came here it was hella busy. I know there are other locations I could go to, but this one is closest to my house. I will miss it.

Update: January 25, 2016. Showed up today for $ 5.99 pizza Monday, only to find that this location has closed permanently over the weekend. :-( It was a good, albeit short run, Pizza Studio. You will be missed.

Permanently closed as of January 2016, which is a tragedy, because it was one of our favorite places to get a quick bite to eat. The Palo Alto location is also permanently closed, and the closest location is listed as Burbank, 300 miles away.

Went to take someone I was meeting for the first time tonight, I suggested going to Pizza Studio because I love it so much! Rolled up to the spot and much to my surprise, the store was closed with a sign on the door saying they were going for good. Such a shame. Not only did they seem like they were doing well, but it made for a very awkward dinner outing. Guess I’ll start having to go to the location on California Ave in Palo Alto now, but I’ve always preferred this one.

Came by for a casual dinner the other night and it was a decent experience. Parking was plentiful in a weeknight and the staff were friendly. Similar to Pieology, it’s unlimited Toppings for $ 8.99(prices went up from the pictures on Unilocal…) Experience starts off with a crust selection, then cheese, sauce, Toppings and add-ons. Protein selection is rather limited with mainly sausage, ham, meat balls etc. Service is friendly and portions are more than sufficient for 1, even if you’re very hungry. Seating may be tight during peak hours… $ 9.5/person for a casual dinner.

It looks like this place is shutting down, as of January 23. It’s a shame. It was the best pizza place around, and offered really great, fresh pizzas. Had solid reviews too. Sucks – we’ll miss you, Pizza Studio!

It’s a neat pizza place where you can make ur own pizza sort of like a chipotle for pizzas. Some come out good some don’t but hats mostly because of your selections. I like the complex they are in.

Its this small place in a nice location. Great taste. They have create your own Pizza with choices in crusts, sauces, cheese, and unlimited toppings. Its like subway for Pizza but only better and fresher. Reasonable price and portion size. Average price for 2 people would be 21 $.

YAY Pizza Studio! I absolutely love this chain. As I’ve written before for another location, this is my favorite of the three DIY pizza restaurants. The flavors and selection knock it out of the park for me. This location is great — friendly staff, all the usual awesome pizza crusts and flavors. Yum yum yum. Will be back! :)

This place is decently good, so long as you don’t expect anything mind-blowing. Other reviewers are calling it ‘the Chipotle of pizza’, and I believe that’s a decent starting point for expectations. You go through the line and pick your crust, cheeses, garlic, and other toppings. Chipotle-style. Due to super hot ovens, the pizzas cook quite a bit faster than a regular pizza. Overall, Pizza Studio offers a relatively quick, painless, and pleasant custom pizza experience in a casual setting. Prices are reasonable for what you get.

Pizza Heaven. You are the boss. If its bad pizza, your fault. If its good pizza, your fault . Nuff said.

Welcome, ladies and gents to yet another copy of the Chipotle restaurant service model, only this time with pizza. Here’s the deal: You order your cracker-thin crust first(it bakes quicker that way); then choose a sauce and then all your toppings. They’ll throw it on a conveyor-belt oven and Voilà…personalized thin crust pizza. On my first visit, I just ordered one of their«standards» — BBQ chicken pizza. This proved to be a mistake. Not only were they skimpy with the toppings, but the pizza was only so-so. I had opted for gluten-free crust, but that wasn’t the issue.(The crust was actually pretty good, considering). I just wasn’t a fan of their particular BBQ chicken recipe. On my next visit I realized the true potential of Pizza Kitchen is the UNLIMITEDTOPPINGS scenario, which is the same price as all the standards. So I went a bit nuts on that visit, going for a combo of tomato and pesto sauce, plus both mozzarella and goat cheese, followed by bell pepper, olives, artichokes, mushrooms, caramelized onions, and garlic chicken sausage, with a shredded basil finisher. The result was pretty fantastic, and for only $ 11, the price was also quite right. Also, I have zero complaints about portion size. I can eat quite a large amount when I’m properly motivated, and one personal pie here was more than enough for me. In fact, I’m still wishing I hadn’t eaten that last slice…(erp) As for the gluten free crust here, I have to say again: I was impressed. They even asked me «allergy or preference?» Why? — because if you are truly allergic or suffer from Celiac disease, they will change out their gloves and tools to make sure you get zero exposure. How many places do you know will go to this kind of trouble and quality control?(I’m not allergic, just sensitive — so no changeover necessary) Service was mixed here. On my first visit, they made my pizza quickly but then I saw it sitting on the oven output shelf for about 10 minutes while the staff caught up with all their orders. On the next visit, my pizza was delivered to me right away, hot and fresh from the oven. It seems they are still working out the kinks when it comes to people flow, despite being open for several months. I had thought Pizza Kitchen was the only one of it’s kind, but alert Unilocal friend John D. has pointed out that there are several chains vying to win the«make your own pizza» crown, including Pieology, MOD Pizza, Blaze, Take One, and Pizza Factory. I have yet to try any of these, but look forward to making some head-to-head comparisons. Let the games begin!

1. Crust 2. Seasoned Dough Those two are probably what I noticed when I ate here and the reason why they stand out against Blaze or Pielogy. Crust: Finally a do it yourself type pizza place that actually has a decent crust. I mean it’s not really a crust but I can see it. Blaze and Pielogy absolutely cover the entire pizza so you don’t end up with any crust. This isn’t bad if you’re looking to get bang for your buck toppings on your pizza but as a girl who enjoys a good crust, this place gets an A+ for leaving room for it :) Seasoned Dough: You can actually choose different seasoned dough. They have traditional, rosemary, firecracker, etc. I like that, it spices things up. Their rosemary one is pretty strong but I thought it was delicious :) You get the pizza pretty fast if they’re not backed up. They only have one oven where they enter the pizza in and it comes out done. The have a variety of toppings you can choose from, very similar to most do it yourself pizza chains. The pizzas are around $ 8 – 9 which puts them in the same ballpark as the other restaurants. The plaza it’s located in is kind of small, parking can be a hassle if it’s crowded. Great choice if you’re looking for something cheap and delicious :)

Lets be short and sweet. Here is a small list of greatness that Pizza Studio can provide to you: –Whole-grain/flaxseed crust. Give it a try, you won’t even miss the regular crust. –Don’t feel like you’re constrained to 1 sauce. No no no, you can have more. Combine the tomato blend with basil pesto! –Nitrate free pepperoni which reduces your chance of cancer, thank you Pizza Studio! –Final touches include basil and cilantro. Yes, please! I love some herbs topped on my food. –UNLIMITEDTOPPINGS. Amazeballs. –Taste? Fantastico! –All for $ 8.99. Need I say more?

Was real excited to try this place since I love thin crust and make your own pizza. It definitely has more options than Pieology. From the different types of crust, to seasonings and to sauces. I was glad it didn’t the exact same toppings as Pieology. I felt like they had more fresh options. When I came in it wasn’t busy so I was able to navigate the menu to make what I wanted. I started off with the Firecracker crust which was a the same as regular crust but more tad of spice to it. Toppings: Tomato sauce, Mozzarella cheese, corn, bell peppers, caramelized onion, jalapenos, artichoke hearts and chicken. Top of the crust was crispy but I was disappointed that the bottom was soft and didn’t hold the pizza quite well. This is what Pieology did well. Will have to give it another shot to see if it improves. At $ 7.99 it’s a great deal!
