One of several small neighborhood convenience stores in Mountain View. They carry your basic corner store items that of course are somewhat high priced but I guess part of paying the high price is the convenience of the store’s location.
I stopped by here this morning to buy some powdered donuts.

Watch out for ripoffs when you check out. First of all, many beers don’t have price labels, so you don’t know how much it’s going to cost. (And they don’t have UPC scanners, they just type the amount in manually).
I tried to buy a case that had an advertised sale sign. When I went to check out, she rang it up for $ 17. I frowned and started to ask if that was right. But before I even finished my sentence, she already changed it to $ 14.
Very sketchy. Seems to me she knew there was a sale and was trying to slip it by me. She didn’t even apologize or anything. I’m not buying anything from here again.

Now I know where the crazy sports fans pick up their booze on the way to the sporting events on the Caltrain. Also good for grabbing something last minute if you’re picking someone up from the train too. True divey liquor store action.
