Looks to be closed. Saw a mention in a local newspaper. Taxman and owners health look to be reasons. Place seemed to had fallen on tough times and to be honest I’m not completely surprised. The location needs a big influx of cash to bring it back. The current structure seems in bad shape. Was a great little place while it lasted.

It’s not much to look at from the outside, but don’t let that turn you off. The owner is totally engaged. A nice guy, helpful, and really cares about the business and his customers. He has 5 – 6 or more local micro brews on rotating taps, and at good prices. Diamond Knot, Mannys, Mac & Jack, etc. — and not just the big ones from these guys. He’s had a few off-​the-​beaten-​path brews, too.

I’ve been shopping here for eight years plus and have always been impressed with the friendly service at this neighborhood store store. Good selection of alcoholic and non-​alcoholic beverages, chips, candy, ice cream, and other basic grocery items should you need them.
Now Handy Mart has a gathering spot where you can enjoy a cold brew and watch sports or just hang with some friends, microbrews to go as well:]

I agree with the other review. Cheap tobacco, and friendly peeps at the counter. I love this place because it’s my neighborhood convenience store, and you get to know the people helping you. Go Handy Mart!

I just go here to by cigarettes, and not only are they a great price, but, weird as it may sound, the service is really good! I come to expect the surly Middle eastern man or suspicious Asian woman glaring at me in connivence stores, but the guys here are actually really friendly, funny people.
