Teriyaki Miako

Very good teriyaki and great customer service! Their salad is delicious and I recommend everyone to try this place at least once!

I’m pretty picky with my teriyaki places so this place is just average to me. I’ve had their chicken teriyaki, spicy chicken teriyaki, and chicken yakisoba. The dishes are pretty consistent in presentation and taste which is your standard fair, but a bit greasy. The décor is typical, though I’ve only picked up lunch to go. They are pretty quick and out of the 10 or so visits I’ve had, I’ve only waited once.

My husband and I have been to Miaki Teriyaki many times. We have never been disappointed.
The teriyaki salmon is excellent and my husband enjoys the yakisoba. Everything is good there. The iceberg lettuce has a nice light poppy seed dressing, they don’t drown it like some places. I enjoy it.
We will be back, may times.

Nothing for vegetarians. I asked if they had tofu. «No.» I asked if they could just make me a vegetable teriyaki. «What vegetables!!!» So I guess it’s just meat and rice with a side of iceberg lettuce. Strange. Most teriyaki places have tofu.

This is an excellent, local teriyaki joint. The portion sizes are great (I just wish they gave you more salad), and the service is friendly. Look out for the occasional specials throughout the day.

This place is great! I get the dark meat chicken teriyaki and fried rice which is enough for 2 people and the price is right. Best in Mukilteo in my opinion.

The chicken was a bit burnt and the price is actually a lot more expensive what it should be. looks like an old Chinese place.

This place was great! I got the chicken with gyoza and my bf got chicken + beef with fried rice and we both really liked our meals. There was a good grill on the meat and it was really tender. The fried rice was tasty and not greasy. We ate there and received friendly, quick service. So glad we tried this place and we’ll be going back!

Spicy chicken teriyaki is delicious! Chicken is always juicy and tender, not fatty & you get a bunch.

I gotta say, I wasn’t happy here. I work close by and I wanted to make this my go-​to place, since I love teriyaki. But no. As a personal preference, I just didn’t like their miso soup. That’s okay. What got to me was how long it took, the price was higher than I’m used to, and the portions were smaller. I’ll drive the extra mile and some and go to the teriyaki place in the Albertsons parking lot.

Delcious & consistent teriyaki. Our family’s favorite in the Mukilteo area. We order a double teri chicken, which gives you double the meat for a few dollars more and just split it. Our girls love their chicken yakisoba with grilled veggies. Really good flavor, char-​grilled chicken and so glad we live so close… we frequent several times a month. Make sure to ask for their punch card, as 10 punches will get you $ 5 off your next order.

We order take out from here almost once a week. Teriyaki chicken and Katsu chicken are our favorites along with a side of gyozas. We have never been let down and have no negative remarks. They are always on time and our food is always perfect. Thank you.

I love this place. For teriyaki in Mukilteo there are many choices and I’ve tried them all Miako Teriyaki is the best. I always go for the same thing, the spicy chicken with fried rice. It’s $ 11.71 including tax and comes with a little salad. The chicken is medium spicy and is not sauced. It’s grilled thigh meat and is well-​cooked and delicious. The fried rice is simple and tasty. It’s easily enough for two large meals so it’s a great value. The owners are friendly and the service is always efficient. I almost always get take out (ready in 10 — 15 minutes) but dining in is a great option for a quick lunch.

Fast and good enough for the price. Tried regular chicken and the katsu. Drinks are over priced so I just got food.

Went here on my 30 minute lunch break and got it to go. They were quick and it was delicious! The restaurant itself could use a little updating, with faded signs and looks a little worn. But if the food stays tasty that’s all that matters! The service was still friendly and helpful and everything seemed clean and maintained. I am only up north temporarily but will definitely be going here again.

I love this place. I have been going here since I was a child (I’m currently 18) & I’m never disappointed. I moved to Portland when I was about 7 years old and every time I visit Mukilteo, I absolutely have to go here! Great quality chicken, sticky rice & it always leaves me full and content. Although prices have gone up, I am willing to pay for the delicious chicken combo and teriyaki sauce. I have eaten at the restaurant and ordered to go & there is no change in quality, just a little less rice when you order takeout. My family and I always set Miako as our standard for teriyaki and we have yet to find something better. This place better stay around for a long time because it truly has a special place in my heart (and stomach).

If you know what’s good for you — call ahead during dinner hours!
I had no idea this place would be SO busy during a weeknight, but it was. I, and many others, were waiting quite a while to get our food. My theory is that there really isn’t very many teriyaki spots in the area to flock to compared to neighboring cities.
The teriyaki is okay. I ordered the chicken and gyoza to go, and when I got home I found that they were sparse on the teriyaki sauce and the gyoza was a little mushy (not sure if this had to do with travel, but I live less than 3 minutes away). Luckily I had teriyaki sauce at home from my favorite place to remedy the chicken situation.
To be short: I wouldn’t find it in my top 5 teriyaki joints, but it does the job in an area with limited options.

This is, in my opinion, the best teriyaki place in the Seattle area. I work somewhere different everyday and enjoy teriyaki very much so I can only imagine how many teriyaki places I’ve been to and yet this is by far my favorite. I get the chicken breast which comes kabob style on wooden skewers and add the very tasty house made teriyaki and very spicy sweet chili sauce. Perfect every time, nice to know what you’re gonna get from a teriyaki joint.
5 stars, you won’t be disappointed.

Coming from someone who strictly orders spicy chicken teriyaki, their spicy chicken is SO GOOD.
What I like about Teriyaki Miako is that their chicken teriyaki comes from slabs of chicken — not random little mysterious bits. The chicken is served with a nice char with a dry rub spice. The spice is subtle at first and builds as you eat more. BEWARE: Don’t underestimate the power of a building spice. I left with the spicy hiccups.
Lunch Special vs. Regular Portion Size
I work nearby and generally order from Miako’s at least once a week. I’m always looking for the best value and decided to compare the lunch special to the regular portion size (pictures posted). The lunch special spicy chicken teriyaki (~$ 7) is about half the size of the regular portion (~$ 9). The good thing about the lunch special is that it is the perfect size to fill you up for lunch without going overboard with a food coma. However, I usually end up buying the regular size, so I can take home half for dinner. For two meals, $ 9 isn’t that bad!
Also, Miako’s offers a frequent diner card or a punch card (They don’t advertise it, but they are bright green and to the left of the register). After ordering 10 entrees, you get $ 5 off your next purchase. In the bigger scheme of things, $ 5 isn’t that much considering that you are spending ~$ 80, but at least they reward their loyal customers! Note: The punch card can’t be used with lunch specials.
Bottom Line: Teriyaki Miako runs a little pricier than other teriyaki joints, but their teriyaki is worth the extra dollar with their yummy chicken. Order the regular size portions over the lunch specials if you want a meal for later, or you are feeling hungry! Be sure to pick up a frequent diner card and start collecting stamps. Once you try Miako’s, you’ll be hooked ;).

So, the strip right above where my company is located, Mukilteo Speedway, has at least four different teriyaki joints. It’s hard to know which one to choose when you’re in the mood for this tasty treat, but I opted to try Teriyaki Miako 2 because a) it didn’t have the word «sushi» in its name, and b) it’s conveniently located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. What can I say? I am getting old and like convenience. ;)
I was a little put off when I entered and scoped the menu. Many items were misspelled (I know I shouldn’t judge the food based on this — it was more comical than anything else), and the pictures weren’t particularly appetizing. But, I was pleasantly surprised to see yakisoba on the menu. I went with a combination of teriyaki chicken and gyoza.
Service was prompt and friendly. The food portion was generous, although I did notice that you have to pay an extra $ 0.25 for a very small container of teriyaki sauce. The gyoza were not my favorite… they were soft and not crispy, so that’s a meh. But the chicken itself was okay. The plate came with a side salad (which I never eat, because I can’t stand that mayonnaise dressing…*shudders*).
I’ll go here again if I’m in a pinch, but I’ll honestly probably try to find a better teriyaki joint in the area. After all, there are at least three other options!
