This place is one of my all-time favorites. The bread and honey butter are amazing even to me(not a big bread eater). Their crab cakes and shrimp tacos are delish. If you are looking for a quaint place to have a nice lunch or dinner, you can’t beat it. It’s also rt on the square so you can do a nice after dinner walk.

I’ve eaten here many times and had several items, and yet to be disappointed. The services is always good and the food is good quality with some creative twist on some popular dishes. One of my favorites is the Firecracker Shrimp Tacos and Sweet Potato Fries are great. One the things I like most is that you can carry on a conversation there regardless of how busy they are. The high ceilings seem handle the noise better that many other places I have been. Business lunch or hot date this checks the boxes for me.

First off, I have to heartily compliment our lovely waitress Lindsey. She was a delight. Friendly and knowledgeable. Owners, take note. She’s a gem. The food was also great. Hubby had the whitefish picatta and loved it. I tasted it and found it delicious. I had a steak(sadly I don’t remember which one) with the fried goat cheese and balsamic added. Amazing. I grew up in the Boro and we are there once or twice a year. We will definitely return to MSG.

The food was decent. I wasn’t really that impressed. I wanted to try a new place but I doubt I will return. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. It was just okay. I loved the location on the square though and really liked the look inside with the exposed brick.

When I first moved here and asked locals for food recommendations, I got the following recommendations most often: Cheddar’s in Smyrna and Cracker Barrel. I knew I was on my own from that point on. This was the first place I went to and is now one of my top choices in Murfreesboro. Has good reviews but still feels underrated. Atmosphere is good and the place is full of people enjoying themselves. They bring delicious bread to your table. Burgers are outstanding. Steaks are solid. Fish and pastas do not disappoint. Soups are good. The menu is average size but all of it is good so you can get a lot of different things over time. Get a sweet potato and go nuts. Blackened chicken alfredo, while a pretty standard dish around here, is the best example I can find locally. Hits all of the marks. If I was paying $ 35+/meal, I would not give this place five stars, but at its price point you’d be hard pressed to beat it.

This review is based on food, service, cleanliness, and atmosphere. The food was really good! I had the fish tacos, which is grilled white fish(one of many possible species of fish), diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and mixed cheese. The tacos were outstanding! I also tried the Firecracker Shrimp as an appetizer, and it was fantastic! The only thing I didn’t like was the sautéed mushrooms. They were bland, almost as if they were boiled rather than sautéed. Caitlin, our server, was a very good! She took excellent care of us, and made us feel at home. She was fast and friendly, and the dining area was immaculate. The restaurant features a dimly lit romantic setting in the back, with tons of natural light from the big bay windows in the front. I would say this is a great place for a casual lunch, or a special dinner. The menu is expansive, and the pricing is reasonable. Coming from an out-of-towner, parking can be tricky. Overall, I would return to, and recommend this restaurant.

Everyone has their favorite eatery in their hometown; let me tell you about my favorite restaurant in Murfreesboro. The Maple Street Grill(MSG) is my favorite eating establishment for many reasons. Service: Each time I have visited the MSG I was treated like VIP. The server takes the time to get to know you, always friendly and never in a rush. They know the menu both food and drink so well that Gordon Ramsey would be proud. Food: The food is prepared with the top quality ingredients which is evident in the flavor of everything that I ever had which by the way I have visited 5 times already in my short time living in Murfreesboro. The MSG offers daily specials for both lunch and dinner and the prices are very reasonable for the quality food and portions served. Everything is made from scratch; the homemade bread with honey butter is delicious which they serve complimentary. If you want a great appetizer I would recommend the spinach dip which comes with homemade chips that are golden brown, crispy and absolutely delicious. The meats, chicken, fish, beef are top quality, I am a meat eater and I know a good quality steak when I sink my carnivores’ teeth into one and the MSG specializes in high-grade meats. Atmosphere: Cozy, quaint, romantic, relaxing, quiet so you can hold a great conversation without having to shout to be heard. The décor is top-notch with cloth napkins and every table is set in a way that privacy is never an issue. Price: For what you get, the portions, the ingredients and service, the price is a bargain, by the time you leave the MSG you will feel like you just spent a day at the spa. 109 N. My boyfriend and I went here before an mtsu football game and were really impressed. The service was friendly and great and the food was super. Doesn’t have too much to offer people on a diet tho. Other than that it was delicious and a great experience.

Wow, what a nice restaurant, with really good food and fantastic service. It is a local restaurant that we will definitely return to. I had a flatiron steak and they know how to cook a medium steak. The cheese chips were also excellent.

In town on business and stopped at The Maple Street Grill for lunch. The service was prompt and friendly. Ordered the Chicken Caprese. It was served with thin sliced cheese rather than thick pieces of mozzarella, but was still very flavorful. The fresh basil added a nice flavor and the chicken was very tender. Will definitely be back.

A delightful dining experience. Good service and great food served in a charming little restaurant. My wife and I had the cedar plank bourbon glazed salmon which was excellent. The salads, sides and entrees were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Only reason I’m giving it a 4 is for service and my sweet potato. It was a little slow. I’m usually not one to complain on that part, but there’s no getting around it. When it comes to my sweet potato… I couldn’t even eat it because it was so burnt. Luckily, I was already so full from my appetizer, bread and my Parmesan chicken that I didn’t miss it. The best part about this place is their drink menu. The cocktails are SO unique and right up my alley. The sangria was delicious and if you go between 4−6pm, it’s happy hour! $ 4 sangria, $ 5 martinis and $ 3 wells.

Went for dinner there this evening. Overall thought it was ok. Service was above average. Thought the location was great but the décor is dated and not particularly inviting. The food was ok but it was too seasoned with salt. I had the crab cake dinner and the veggies that came with it were very salty, fries were poor and the crab cake was very average. Partner had the whitefish and I wish I was reviewing that dish because the bite I had was much better than mine! Oh well… plate envy! Doubt it was good enough for me to return though.

I really like the Maple Street Grill. I think some people see«Grill» and have different expectations. It’s not a hamburger and fries place. I love their Pan-seared Ahi Tuna. Go there if you want to have a nice meal, but expect the prices to be closer to $ 20 a meal, not $ 10. If you want a burger or sandwich, there are other options.

Came here for my 24th birthday with my best friend & boyfriend. I didn’t know anything about the restaurant but they both looked up some reviews on Unilocal and wanted to give it a shot… I’m so glad we did! The food was delicious and I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. It’s a mixture between casual and classy. Also, I ordered some sort of pomegranate blueberry cocktail… best decision ever. It was so good. The menu is pretty diverse so there’s something for everyone. I’d love to come here again!

Let me begin by saying this restaurant deserves your business. They are committed to Murfreesboro and being a good restaurant in the square. As someone who works for a non-profit, I have gone to them several times if they’d like to participate in our fundraisers or sponsor an event and without hesitance help out any way they can. Now with that said, here’s my honest opinion: It’s a decent restaurant but i wish it was better. There food selection is pretty typical of an upscale grill… nothing special, but nothing terrible… bread for the table… a decent wine selection and they’ll usually make you a decent cocktail. It’s as if they set the menu a decade ago and have implemented the if aint broke don’t fix it philosophy… however, i’d love to see their chef take more risks…
