Absolutely love Textbook Brokers ! My daughter will be in her third year coming up and we won’t shop anywhere else for books. They are much cheaper, fast and friendly. They always recommend the best combos of new, used, and rentals.

This business will never keep a consistent system for buying books. This visit was the worst of all my semesters at MTSU. The store was roped off and a line formed out the door into the parking lot. When you got to the front an employee took your schedule or answered questions then direct you to a register line. I waited probably 10 minutes although they had my book ready and asked me to verify which book I need off of my list. The actual check out was okay. Their prices are reasonable depending on the book and I believe they price match as well. Their website lets you see prices before you go to the store, which was really helpful. Parking is very hectic and there is a lot of congestion when the store is busy. It was an overall decent experience but I hope they will find a system that works and stick with it.

What a hot mess. I will say that they are much cheaper than the bookstore on campus and you can reserve the books online and pick them up when you are ready but that store is so confusing! I walked in to pick up my online order and there were no signs for anything. I saw a bunch of people standing around. I am used to a bookstore where you go pick out the books yourself. At Textbook Brokers you have to stand around, wait for an employee to ask if you’ve been helped, give them your schedule, wait around some more, and then they will call your name to pick up the books and pay. I don’t understand why they think that is a good idea. I had to wait for someone to come over to me just so I could find out if my books were ready to be picked up. I waited about 15 minutes. People that came in after me would get helped before I did since there is no system in place to prevent that. Finally, a girl comes over to me and I ask her about picking up an online order. She tells me to go to the corner of the store where they do web orders… some signage would be nice! I wouldn’t have had to stand there for 15 minutes. I get into that line and wait another 10 – 15 minutes while a girl in front of me decides to argue with the cashier about what she owed. He had to explain it to her 3 – 4 times. Once I finally get up to the register he looks up my name, tells me to wait for my name to be called while they get the books. Luckily, he ran and found them quickly. Got me set up and even saved me money by telling me that my one Algebra class wouldn’t need both books that I had gotten. They just need a better system and some signs to tell people what the heck is going on in that store!
