Delicious! We took Unilocalers advice and got the crab and artichoke dip it was awesome! I also got the Turkey sand on croissant and it was good but the best was the white chocolate bread pudding only problem was that it was not enough(maybe that’s a good thing). The lobster bisque was recommended and was top notch as well. We loved that the fare was upper crust but it was low key dining and our kids fit right in! The service was 5 star! We will definitely be back!

This is one of my favorite lunch places. I love the eclectic décor with all of the art nuveau mirrors. The salads are great. There are quite a bit of fine choices on the menu. Worth making it a nice little lunch date place or lunch out with the gals. We will be back.

This is the best restaurant in Murphy! The soups are incredibly good. They have a decent wine list as well. The service is friendly but slow, so be prepared

Tried to eat here yesterday for dinner. We were sent to the dining room upstairs. The bartender/server wasn’t friendly and seemed very distracted and aggravated that we wanted dinner instead of lunch. it was 4:05 a little early for dinner maybe but certainly late for lunch. What was weird is that they start serving dinner at 4 so we weren’t sure what was going on. We just got up and left because we felt sure this was going to be an unpleasant experience.

over the years, been there about a dozen times. Service has always been very good but the food has been hit or miss. The last time it was great but have had it just average. Sorry to see that they went political regarding restrooms. Could have just said nothing.

I wish this place wasn’t so «Hit or Miss.» We had a party of four on a Friday night at 2000. They weren’t that busy. We drew the short straw and got one of the worst waitresses I have ever dealt with. She was forgetful and nonexistent.(And that is saying how I feel politely.) Two of the people at our table drink and they had problems getting more. how is this possible? I thought that is the main priority. Keep the alcohol pouring to boost profits. The other thing is that if you don’t want an item, let’s say soup, they will gladly take a dollar off of your bill. What if you really want the soup and your waitress is too stupid to bring it? WTF! They just take a dollar off of the bill. Very disappointed with this visit. I guess we will take a break from patronizing them for a while. Try Moma Mia’s around the corner. It is a very small place with great service.

Delicious! The $ 7.99 lunch special can’t be beat. I had the chicken salad. Fresh and tasty. Don’t be fooled by the«shooter» in desert shooter. I had the bread pudding and it was an ample serving.

Stopped in for lunch today. Elizabeth was our waitress. When we told her it was our first visit she was delighted to tell us her favorite lunch items. We had the shrimp cake appetizer. It was unique and quite tasty. After that we split the Blue Cheese Pecan salad and the Turkey Rockafeller sandwich. Both were delicious. We topped it all off with a couple of dessert shots. They were good too. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Murphy.

In a locality with limited fine dining this outlet provides an alternative worth trying. Menu offers many traditional choices, but the topper for us on aSaturday night was the live music, a rarity in places with much more expensive tickets. Recommend reservations as seating area is smallish. And parking is on the street. The wine list isn’t extensive, but the choices were varied and quite satisfactory, especially to the unsophisticated palate. We didn’t try any dessert, but service from Krista was sweet enough for us. Be sure to ask how they got their name.

Saw the great reviews about this place and said«We’ll see about that.» I have now had my ShoeBooties Café experience and am only saddened by the fact that I will not be able to darken their door as a regular. Can’t eat their everyday. Papa is a rolling stone they say and i got to keep ramblin on, mostly because I don’t live in Murphy, NC. If I did? The unbelievably pleasant and attentive staff would undoubtedly know my name after awhile due to my frequency of visiting their establishment, not due to the fact that I have an incredibly endearing personality. The food and drinks arrived quickly and the Top Shelf Long Island Iced Tea has the smooth punch of a jackhammer in a tuxedo. The IPA on tap was a delicious gullet pleaser as well. The food? Next Level. Baked Crab Spinach & Artichoke Dip was outstanding and someone apparently stole my grandmother’s turkey and presented it to me in an amazing Turkey croissant sandwich with a parmesan bacon sauce. Absolutely splendiferous. If in Murphy I highly suggest you spend your eating moments locked in an warm embrace with the menu of Shoe Booties. You shall not regret this decision. Good day sir and a tip of the cap to you ShoeBooties Café.

Lunch at ShoeBooties Café. Before going Wife Unilocaled this location & Thank You Unilocalers for the excellent reviews. For starters we had Bake Crab Artichoke & Spinach Dip, must try them. Wife had lunch special Milano Sandwich & I had cup of Chicken Chowder plus the Spaghetti Pasta Pie. For dessert we share White Chocolate Bread Pudding with cup of black coffee, the combination was awesome. Our second time(two weeks later) we had Crispy Shrimp Cakes for starter(delicious) Wife had the Seafood Salad with Warm Parmesan Bread Sticks with little cup of oil sauce for dipping… Delicious. We ended with a Raspberry Cheese Cake & cup of black coffee that we shared. Both times we were well taken care as in service, quality, taste, temperature of their food, so I’m Very Happy with Them :-))

The food was great!!! But it took 1 hour, yes 1 hour to get our main course meal. When a table is turned over every 1 hour and 45 minutes, I don’t see how this restaurant can make money.(That was my comment to the manager when I paid the bill). Then our glasses went empty. There were a lot of waiters and waitresses running around with communication equipment around their heads but NO leadership. The workers are over tasked with no guidance or an effective plan. They run around trying to fix problems. When we complained to the manager, her excuse was that they were busy. Based on what the waitress told us, the kitchen couldn’t keep up with the orders. I would certainly agree with that! We will not return.

You would think being one of the only options in town you could get away with anything. I live in Chicago and travel for work, I eat out for lunch and dinner minimum five days a week. With that said this place is amazing!!! I was attracted to this place because their menu online showed there were some decent options for light eating. First time I got a seafood salad to go, shrimp and salmon grilled to perfection(i asked to have tomatoes added — I don’t even like shrimp that much but this stuff was delicious, and tasted very fresh!) I loved it so much I got it the next day but this time I ordered two. Finally got to go in for dinner, shrimp crab cakes outstanding! Golden brown as promised, shrimp fantastic and juicy!(I would recommend asking for a lemon or two on the side — it is heavy and the dipping sauce it comes with is also heavy — they are great without anything too) Great wine, even the bread they bring you is excellent and tasty it’s a focaccia packed with powerful herbs(fennel and Rosemary I think the server said) Entrees come with a salad or soup, and one side — really a bargain. Service was spot on as well friendly and efficient. Server seemed to be knowledgable about selections including the wine. She was also nice about my weird preference of picking four or five entrees and having her pick one and not tell me which one ;-) My only thought is if you get the seafood salad — the amount of vegetables /lettuce is a little on the light side but amount of seafood I think is plenty. My only regret was not figuring out a way to eat there for lunch and dinner everyday I was in Murphy. I’m not 100% sure I would want to live in Murphy(kinda like cities) BUT this restaurant is a selling point — it’s that good! Great music too! This place is a real treat! Clearly they have a great chef, manager, owner or all of the above. Staff is kind and friendly as well.

We were taking a long cross country road trip and we wanted to stop and eat something yummy. Of course, we checked Unilocal and came to ShoeBooties because it had great reviews. This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life! From the bruschetta appetizer to the complimentary fresh baked bread, the sweet tea and the entrée – everything was perfect. Our waitress Marissa was very helpful, sweet, and attentive. If only we lived closer, we would come at least once a week!

We were passing through town and decided to stop at this cute eatery. I’m so glad we did. The atmosphere was very nice. The service good, and the food was outstanding! The prices were very reasonable. The portions were generous. We both had lunch specials. 1 spaghetti pie with roll and 1 Milano sandwich with chips and cucumber orzo salad. I’m sorry I didn’t have room for dessert. .

Great hidden gem in the mountains. Try the pecan crusted salmon– it is wonderful. Also LOVE the martini sampler! Three little martinis, your choice of flavors. I like the strawberry/lemon and the peach. The service is really good too. I highly recommend.

This place it great. After a whitewater rafting trip we found Shoebooties on Unilocal. We decided to pay them a visit and we’re glad we did. With a group of 13 and late in the lunch time frame I was concerned about what to expect but I should not have been. We were greated by the friendly hostess who suggested we sit in the bar since they were setting up for dinner. Debbie handled our service perfectly. The drinks and food arrived promptly and all dishes were excellent. We mostly had sandwiches with a couple of lunch special pastas mixed in. All rated the food as excellent We all agreed that given the circumstances Shoebooties did a great job. I will go out of my way to visit this gem again.

There are not too many restaurants in Murphy, this one was recommended to me by locals. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here, everyone was extremely friendly, love the red color and wooden floor, very romantic place for a date! It happened to be a Wednesday night, so there was trivia going on, we played and lost but still won prizes! Food was delicious, I had seafood salad which I thought the price was amazingly inexpensive, came with fresh crab meat, salmon, shrimps, delicious! I selected peach muffin as a side since they were out of chocolate muffin. It was simply joy in my mouth, also interesting to have muffin as a side-dish for me! I would definitely recommend this place for a nice meal.
