Love the food. It’s always fresh. The service is excellent. Can’t forget to mention the stamp card I appreciate businesses that reward customers that love the food.

When I eat sushi, I like to feel extremely satiated from my cravings, & I must say this place did not get the job done. We came here because One Sushi down the street was PACKED. Customer service was neutral, no more or less satisfying than the food.

Love this place, good food and friendly staff. It’s a small little place so staff treat you like family. They greet you and recognize repeat customers, even have a stamp card system. Not one of your fancy sushi places but food is good, place is clean and you always get greeted with a smile. Very much worth your money.

Since I first reviewed this place, the quality continues to drop and the price continues to increase. When the prices were cheaper, it seemed like an okay value and certain lack of atmosphere, quality, and creativity could be forgiven. But now the prices are barely cheaper than a full proper sushi restaurant, while the quality is well lower. They had a niche before of being an affordable spot for cheap sushi or takeout. Now they are competing with the big boys and I can’t see how they won’t fail unless they up the quality back to where it used to be or get the prices back down. Because there’s just no reason to go here anymore with a zillion other better sushi places on every corner doing it better for not too much more dough.

This place wasn’t as good as I remembered it being the first time I tried it. I had the calamari and tempura vegetables. The calamari came out first. It was good. Nothing to rave about. I received my salad, tempura veggies, and rice later. The salad was great because they use the white creamy Japanese dressing that I prefer. The veggies only had two items I would eat. One shrimp and one sweet potato. I was pretty bummed with the size of food for the price. I left still hungry. The food is all served on Styrofoam dishes. It has a very cheap look, which doesnt bug me at all as long as the taste backs it up. The lady who took our order at the counter was very abrubt and didnt offer much assistance when we were still deciding. Its very small inside, but it can get very busy. Call ahead or order to-go.

We love this place. Inexpensive, good sushi! Yes they do serve food on styrofoam but it makes for an easy clean up! Gotta support the mom and pop spots! Favorite roll is the spicy tuna rainbow! Good customer service as well.

Our second trip here. Good prices. The restaurant is small but clean. Friendly gal at the counter. We did take-out. My husband, who is Japanese, said, «oishii»(yum!) We did get a ‘good bye’ from the quiet chef when we left! We will come again.

Absolute find! Discard your premonitions of plastic plates and average décor… Food is bomb!!! Alaska Roll, sashimi, teriyaki bowls, octopus all fantastic… Again, don’t let the setup of this place throw you. Food is excellent, staff friendly, and has a rewards program.

The place was packed and it seemed like it was great. The sushi being served on plastic did not bother me, at all. We ordered to go. By the time we got back to the hotel and ate, the sushi was falling apart. It is two stars because the staff was real friendly.

Real Japanese quality sushi with very reasonable price for the fresh seafoods. I had Saba Shio(salted mackerel) and was amazed for the taste and the technique to broil the fish for perfectly crisp skin and juicy white meat inside. Also, chief pulled all the small fish bones so we don’t have tho worry about biting small bones. Just a perfect lunch and dinner place in Murrieta.

Small but super clean. If your looking for«ambiance» and fine dinnerware, its not the place for you. But the friendly staff is always ready to serve and help. The sushi/sashimi is always fresh. Excellent prices for excellent food. Amber is the best, and Rumeo is the sushi roll king!

Probably my favorite lunch spot, always fresh, quick and super cheap! Today I tried the crunch roll and a spicy tuna roll. Both extremely fresh and scarfed them both down. Love the friendly service as well. They give you a stamp card to keep you coming back, love this place!

Ate here 4 times already but for some reason only the first two were really delicious the other times it was just okay. Not sure if I’m coming on certain days where there is a different chef. Will try one more time and see my final review

I absolutely adore this restaurant. Considering that this is a «fast/hole-in-the-wall» type of restaurant, the food and fish is always on point and fresh. There is never a dull, quiet moment here. I don’t come as often as I want to but every time I do come, I have to applaud Amber for always remaining calm, collective, and making sure every order is right. My tip? Tip Amber a few bucks here and there. It’ll go a long way! She holds the place down!

Strip mall sushi served on plastic picnic plates and Styrofoam bowls for dipping. Not much of an ambiance for sushi… more like fast food Chinese. Completely unimpressed and disappointed in this experience. Not sure where these good reviews are from because the sushi quality does not come close to overcoming the rest. I feel sorry for those who claim this is their favorite sushi place… That tells me that they haven’t had really good sushi.

Have to say all the reviews I read tonight before eating here, sums this joint up! It’s in a strip mall next to a Lebanese Resturant that looks decent tho I’ve never tried Lebanese food! But back to the sushi Resturant, it wasn’t bad, not fabulous but good for a quick cheap bite to eat. Definitely not a date spot or somewhere to go with friends and do saki shots. Mmmm I miss the good ol days, JK! I took my 2 older boys and they both ate like kings and I can hardly ever get them to eat much these days that’s not pasta related! Nice folks that work there, especially the 1 waitress. You order up front and she brings u your order. The variety of imported drinks looked interesting in the cooler! We will be back again!

I was in the area and found Sushi Hama on Unilocal.Had some difficulty finding it because it’s labeled«JAPANESESUSHI» and not Sushi Hama. I wanted to give this place a shot so I’m glad I was able to find it. A cool take on fast-food Japanese. The cooks here are straight-up Japanese, so you know you’re getting authentic, well-made food even if it is served on plastic plates. Don’t let that throw you off! They have an extensive menu with sushi rolls, rice bowls, noodles, combos, and so forth. It’s a very casual sit-down restaurant where you order at the counter and have your food brought out to you at your table. I tried the medium poki bowl — filling and tasty, but not enough raw fish. I would have been happier with less salad in my bowl, too, but for how hungry I was, it sufficed. The bowl is essentially sushi rice(Japanese rice mixed with rice vinegar and other seasonings), with a mayo/imitation crab(surimi) mixture, seaweed, and some raw fish(I forgot what), with a side of lettuce. They serve this with a sesame/ponzu dressing. I’m not sure if the dressing goes with the salad or the bowl itself, but it was yummy with everything. My sister got the house chicken, which tasted a lot like karaage. Not bad! I’m interested in coming back to try their sushi rolls next time. Everything is about $ 6 – 8 depending on what you get. Some items cost more than $ 10, but there are very few of those. Perfect for anyone who is craving Japanese food and wants to get their fix without having to spend a pretty penny on over-priced Inland Empire sushi. Decent food, in decent portions, at decent prices. You can’t go wrong with that :)

= FASTFOODSUSHI = I was starving. I wanted something quick, but I did not want to settle for the normal fast food, so I found this«fast-food looking sushi restaurant» and took my chances here. SUSHIHAMA’s menu is not extensive, but it is inexpensive. I ordered the Chirashi for $ 8.75, and an extra order of Sashimi for $ 6. Please note that I combined my Chirashi & Sashimi orders before taking my photo. Fish are fresh, but they are not top quality fish. Don’t expect anything fancy from this restaurant because they serve everything in disposable containers. Since it is relatively inexpensive, it is a good alternative to your normal fast-food run. However, don’t expect too much.
