I haven’t had much luck with pool cleaners. I keep the gate to my backyard locked and, with my first pool cleaner, if he couldn’t get in, he would just skip the service and not tell me. I asked him to text me first so I could make sure to unlock it, but for some reason, that was too much for him to handle. My other pool cleaner did an algae treatment while I was out of town and left my pump running for 5 days, so I came home to a foamy mess in my pool. He also had a problem texting me before coming into my backyard. Dave always texts before he comes and leaves the pump on ‘time out’ mode so it will shut off after a few hours. He’s unusually passionate about pools and kept my pool ready to use all summer.
