Got a guitar for my son here. Guitar looks new. Guys were very nice and even willing to bargain a bit. Did say, if my son wasn’t happy, we could return it. Will definitely go back.

Wimpey’s Pawnshop has a new owner, new name (Kirby’s Pawn) new staff and new attitude. Come check us out and decide for yourself, I think you’ll like how we are making massive changes.

I love this place. I purchased an RC helicopter and a CD car stereo within the last year. Both products worked great and the pricing was perfect. This place has a ton of video games. They also have a good selection of stereo equipment and power tools. I’ve been buying stuff from here for years and I’ve never had a problem. I’ve even sold gold to them before.

I wasn’t really surprised to come on here and find a horrible review for this place. As my experience wasn’t a good one. My husband was in this shop and talking to the owner about how my wedding rings needed to be sized. The owner said «Oh I’m a jeweler I can do that for you» Needless to say he sized my rings and a few weeks later one of them was slit where he cut it to re size. Took it back and he turned it around making it seem that it wasn’t his fault, but agreed to fix it. A few months after that the other one slit as well. At this point I’m irritated– I take it to Diamonds by Monet off of Winchester Rd. The owner looks at the ring and says the one he did twice has pits and needs a new shank. He told me that he didn’t use white gold and they both need to be repaired. He then says «Can I ask the name of the place you took it to?» I told him the name and location and he says yeah «That guy is NOT a jeweler!» Wow! It is now going to cost a lot more to get them repaired. Do not let this guy touch your jewelry! I will never be giving him any business again.

These cocky jerks will not even acknowledge you when you walk into the shop, some stinky ass dog will greet you while the fat bitch at the counter does her nails and ignores you. They have had multiple police complaints for buying stolen goods (Press Enterprise) and they don’t buy «watches» or «sunglasses» (even a rolex or versace) they told me lol. Not to mention I had a brand NEW ipad that they only offered me $ 100 for (and this is when the new one had just came out). They also do not sell firearms or coins? So what do they buy and sell? NOTHING. The shop is full of crap junk and its all overpriced. Everyone that works there has an attitude problem and could care less about your business. I’m pretty sure the store is just a front for illegal activity like tax evasion or meth sales. Don’t believe me? Just walk in for yourself.

18 months ago, I saw an ad to bring my ‘old gold’ to wimpys. I just lost my home, my husband and my job. I am college educated, I have always had a job, made good money, but suddenly found myself in need. Took my jewelry to wimpys. They were fair and kind enough. However, the two male clerks thought I had exited the store, when really I was just browsing. I overheard them talking about how dirty and disgusting I was, and how I was crazy thinking I had anything of true value. I hope them clerks (one I believed to be the owner) sees this, because you will remember me… I saw your faces when I walked out. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You should never ever judge another.
