Love their Monday night brew burger special and Thursday night taco special!!! Good old bar food with usually fast service… which I don’t know how they do it with such a small kitchen. Husband and other of town family loves Rueben pizza! Can’t say I’ve ever really had a bad meal here… it may not be fancy but it’s good food at a great price. They always have lunch specials too! Hands down favorite thing to order when it’s not a Mon or Thurs is taco salad… dinner portion is ginormous and delicious!

This little gem is a great dive bar. It’s kind of rough around the edges but the service and food are good. They’ve got daily specials. They’re pulled pork sandwiches are very good. It’s also very inexpensive. Although it’s the Missipi Brewing Company, there is no brewing. They have beer, just not brewed there.

Mr G helped me with a nasty project so I figured I owed him a couple of meals and a couple of beers. He suggested Missipi Brewing for lunch(and we did El Allende later that evening for dinner). I liked the place. It is a good casual place to go for a decent lunch. We each had burgers but there is a good array of sandwiches. My burger was decent. They did not forget to salt it as so many places do these days. The flavors from grilling on the flat top were there and the meat was not dry. That is all I had, not wanting too much for lunch and there is not much to add except I would certainly go here again for a burger or other sandwich and a beer. We had nice service.

been to the mississippi brew a few times to watch the bands and eat. the food is typical bar food«nothing spectacular». service could be faster, just depends how crowded the place gets. lately gets filled with the«finer nightlife crowd» NOT. do not go here on friday/saturday nights unless your looking for a fight. the crowd is very mixed, however feel the pearl across the street is classier.

I like the cheese balls! I’ve never really gone for the food, though. I like the bar atmosphere at night and they have Karoke(last I knew) which is fun.

This is probably one of the worst bar food type places I have ever been to. Just simply terrible. While inside the ambiance and décor and overall fee all suggest that this place should be pretty good, that is oh so far away from the truth. We actually ended up sitting outside and had a good size group. Every dish that was ordered was simply not edible. It’s hard to really mess up your typical greasy bar food meal. But man oh man, these guys succeeded. Every item came out from the freezer. Ordered cheese sticks and they literally could be barely broken in half they were so cold. When I mentioned that they were cold too the waiter the response back was«What do you mean they’re cold?» I in turn said: «Like they are still competely frozen cold.» The same could pretty much be said about everything else. Do NOT go here

It’s no mystery why the Brew remains a popular hangout in Muscatine. The name still makes me laugh because they don’t brew anything there except hangovers and unexpected babies. They have several good beers on tap and serve them at the proper temps, but the locals fill up on Busch Light tall boys. For $ 2 you can’t blame them. The retiree crew fills up the place on Mondays for $ 1 burger night and you should too because they’re quite good.

The Brew is a local institution, specializing in basket food(i.e., food served in a basket). Nothing is spectacular, but everything is good, from a large variety of burgers and tenderloins, to some nice salads and pizzas. Daily specials. The fresh chips are great, but I always get baked beans as a side. Their fountain soft drinks are the largest in the Midwest. [Prove me wrong.] Friendly staff. Huge patio in the warmer months. Live music most weekends. Full bar. Service slows down when it’s busy, but the staff isn’t territorial, so anyone will help you out if you need it and your waitron isn’t around.

I was hoping for something a little more. It is right on the river, the cheeseburger was just OK, nothing to write home about. Was hoping for local beer– they used to have Bent River– but they don’t carry that anymore, so the most exotic thing was Boulevard Wheat. Service was friendly

Good food prepared fresh. Nothing fancy on the menu but everybody at my table enjoyed their burgers, fries, chicken and beer. Service is prompt and good.

Right on the river. Enjoyed the Gruyère Burger. As usual the service is prompt, friendly and accurate. I went the Friday night of the Blues Festival and although the place was packed we got seated quickly. The food came promptly and was delicious and hot. A good experience.

Cheap beer and food, TVs, and lots of people. Stopped in here during a week stay for business. The first thing that surprised me is that this bar doesn’t actually brew their own beer. They do have some a-typical beers on tap, such as fat tire and boulevard. After scanning the menu I really only found the burgers as an option. I got the biggest burger they had, with a few sides, and a giant deep fried basket of goodness as an appetizer. The deep fried app was pretty tasty. But the big burger was way overcooked and even burnt around the edges. I’m not sure why any bar establishment would overcook a piece of ground beef that far, unless the cook just wasn’t paying attention. Overall, probably the best bar I found in town, with super cheap prices to boot.
