Tanger Outlet – Myrtle Beach

Nice selection of stores and the layout is easily walkable. Don’t miss the VF Outlet, Disney Store and a nice collection of kids clothing options. Parking can be chaotic.

We come here several times a year. Tonight alone we spent about 300.00 so seems the deals were pretty good in February for some reason. We tend to prefer this outlet to the one on 501 as we tend to find better/​more deals here, but rest assured we will be heading to the other location tomorrow for a comparison. Under armour (for me) Disney (for the grands), Anne Taylor (for her), and north face (for us both) were amongst our favorites tonight.

Worst customer service of any J Crew I’ve been to, and I’ve been to many around the country. The staff barely acknowledged I was there and I had to go find them in the other side of the store to ask for a dressing room.

We went to this Tanger outlet mall to go to a couple of specific stores. The Harry&David store is always a favorite, and Bass, VF, and Van Heusen usually have wonderful sales this time of year.
While the afternoon was enjoyable, I don’t think the sales were as good this year as in past times. Even with the coupon booklets, the discounts weren’t as impressive, and the amounts we’d have needed to spend to get the discounts was considerably higher. There were still some good buys to be found, but not like in past years.
Most of the store spaces were filled, and as always, this mall is clean and well kept. We had a little trouble finding some of the stores we were looking for, but the information boards were helpful, so we eventually located what we were looking for. All in all, it was a pleasant enough way to spend an afternoon, and we did get to find a few bargains there.

Great group of stores, however the prices could be better. You can find a good deal if you look but not always. Clean and friendly atmosphere.

Old Navy Store is very disorganized and doesn’t look to have been recovered in several days. Store looks like it’s going out of business. Needs some sort of management. I could understand if it was Saturday afternoon but it’s Monday around noon. Very disappointed

Find anything you need at a good price. Sells the Monday before Black Friday are usually awesome!

I absolutely love the stores and the coupon booklets that are offered to military but one thing that really turns me off about this place is the smoking locations. I am pregnant and have a 7 year old, it’s especially the worst at the entrance/​exit to the food court. You actually have to walk through a black cloud of smoke to get in and out. I don’t think they were very strategic about picking smoking locations. Also, I sat outside of a store waiting for a husband and someone sits next to me and starts smoking. I am at a point of being obviously pregnant and my son was on the other side of me on the bench. Please make smoking areas centralized, but away from the entrance/​exits of stores, as opposed to every bench being a smoking area!!!

We were in Myrtle Beach on a shopping/​golfing trip and had the best time! The mall is conveniently located and logically layed out. Not all of the stores are outlet stores, which was a little disappointing. We however felt very successful and saved a good bite.

Great customer service. Landscaping is pretty and the directory is easy to follow. Always great deals. And I like the music that plays while you are walking around from store to store.

Very limited options for plus-​sized clientele. Would love to see an Avenue, Torrid, Catherine’s, etc. Really, just even one more plus-​sized store would be welcomed. There were only 2 stores that I recall that I could even shop in for clothing – a Dress Barn and the Levi’s Outlet Store. If any of the other stores had plus-​sizes, they sure didn’t advertise it in any way. So, if they do, they need to make it obvious, because I certainly wasn’t going to go waltzing around stores that don’t typically make customers-​of-​size feel welcomed. Shoe stores never seem to have anything over a size 10. Charlotte has a wide shoe store outlet, so why in the world can’t an outlet mall like this have such a shoe store? So, yeah, if you’re plus-​sized with large feet, there’s not a lot of shopping you can do here.

The outlet is huge and they have a lot of stores. I liked that there was a 5 Guys in the food court. I felt some of the outlets were higher priced here than at other locations of tanger. If you are in the shopping mood I would suggest come to the outlets.

There is lots of variety at this outlet center. It’s conveniently located just off Hwy 17 in Myrtle Beach, a relatively short drive down the coast from NC or up from the strip/​main Myrtle. AAA members, AARP members, and military can get a free coupon book by stopping by Shopper Services. I wish I would have allowed more time for shopping on Sunday afternoon; I didn’t realize ahead of time that they close at 7pm and 4 hours wasn’t nearly enough. :)

Love Michael Kors the most so of course I’m there at every vacation I get a chance too.

While visiting SC we visited the Tanger Outlets several times. They have a pretty good store selection. During the time we went there wasn’t much going on.
What I did like is they have a Tanger Outlets club that you can join. It was a $ 10 lifetime membership. With that membership once we spent $ 50 we got this one bag that was kinda like a straw type bag. They also had a deal that if you bought a mall gift card for I believe it was $ 10 you got $ 20.
Once you spent I believe it was $ 200 you received a nice leather bag. Whoop Whoop! During all the Tanger Outlets we visited during that time we racked up on those rewards.
There is a App that you can download to upload your receipts so when you reach a milestone you get the reward.
At each outlet once you have the reward (or coupon) you see the customer service desk, and you receive a free coupon book. (If you have any rewards you will receive them at this time too) The coupon book we really didn’t use, but some coupons worked out awesomely.

I have been coming to these outlets annually for four now and I have seen them progress throughout the years. There are a great variety of stores that always the BEST prices. A few of the places you must visit are Coach, Adidas, Fossil, Michael Kors, Old Navy, Tommy Hilfiger, Vanity Fair, The Cosmetic Company, Disney Store, North Face, and Guess. Sadly, there is no Nike outlet but there are plenty of many other great places to find excellent deals.

North Face and Puma were a little disappointing compared to their VEGAS and Portland outlets sister stores. Loft and COACH were impressive. Liked seeing a Kate Spade and feel it had a great variety of sorts.
The 501 outlet has NiKE yet their merchandiser could use some help in trend. Both clothing and shoes depts were weak and not worth the drive from the beach. Columbia was impressive; buy one get one half !

My preference of the 2 Myrtle Beach Tanger Outlets. I know it’s a little more dated than the one on 501, but I like the flow of the layout much better.

Lots of stuff! Better than the hwy 501 location. No Nike over here unfortunately though. Avoid this place on rainy days during tourist season. Packed, and nowhere to park
