This is the best Christmas Show that I have ever seen. I have seen many shows in Branson, Mo. that are very good but this show was a real show stopper! This is the 2nd time we’ve seen this show and it didn’t disappoint! The talent is unbelievable! Seems like something you might see at the Radio City Music Hall but much, much better! We live in St. Louis, Mo. and love Myrtle Beach. We will be back, just to see another show done by The Carolina Opry, only this time something other than a Christmas Show, because we know they can nail it! Best Show in Myrtle Beach, SC!

This was my second time visiting The Carolina Opry and I was again VERY pleased with the production. This time was for the Christmas Show and it was even better than I expected! I brought my family for an early Christmas present and we were all very pleased. The songs were updated and had an upbeat take on classic songs. The ballads were very powerful — and had added drama with the amazing light show, lasers, and SNOWMACHINES! The costumes and choreography were something a big city would be proud to showcase. It’s absolutely worth the price of admission! It will be just what you need to get back your holiday spirit!

This was the second time seeing this amazing Christmas show. There are some goofy spots(a la Hee Haw) geared towards the very young and very old but the majority of the presentation showcased beautiful professional dancers complimenting exceptionally talented singers. The gowns/costumes are dreamy and ever changing. The brilliant pianist, along with full band, horn, synthesizers, and string musicians will totally take you away in an explosion of beautiful Christmas sounds! What I noticed was each singer, dancer, and musician was totally engaged and enthusiastic about the presentation– their hearts were into it! My sis and I brought our 90 year old mom up to the Carolina Opry for the matinée at 1pm. The chairs have been refurbished and so comfy. The people working inside the 0pry are so friendly and helpful; they were so concerned about my mom’s comfort they offered her a senior cushion to support her back! We all had a fantastic time, had dinner afterwards and drove back to Mt. P. I highly recommend the ladies taking their own moms out for an afternoon of exceptional fun that is located right here in SC.

This review is for the Christmas show, which we attended last Tuesday night. The theater is large from the outside and has ample parking which is always a plus. Walking inside there is a ticket booth, concession stands, and a gift shop. The concession stands have a limited of selection of beer and wine, no hard liquor. When I bought my tickets, the guy at the booth said that there wasn’t a bad seat in the house and he was right. I bought the gold section on the lower level(balcony was closed for this show) and saved $ 20 by not buying the platinum seats. There was no difference whatsoever. Now on to the show! It ran almost 2 hours with about a 15 minute intermission. There was a good mixture of singing, dancing, and comedy. There wasn’t really any storyline to follow, just different performances. Some were really good, some not so much. They did a nice job of combining the traditional classic songs like«White Christmas», as well as new songs like«Let it go» which got a great reaction from the kids in attendance. We enjoyed the show a lot, and I would highly recommend it.

The show was great, but don’t buy the dvd. It is last years and only a few highlights. We thought we were getting the whole show.

Enjoyed an evening of great talent! Music and comedy was great. I did feel like the youngest person in the room, but enjoyed the show!

Second time here, figure I’d do a review. Very nice entertainment venue. Saw Jack Hanna’s Into The Wild Animal show here, along with Time Warp Musical Review. Top notch experiences both times. The laser lights show at the concert was incredible. If your interested in seeing a show here, don’t hesitate, order your tickets.

I have seen every show at the Carolina Opry, everyone there is extremely talented. The only negative comments I saw on this Unilocal page was about the comedy, and how jokes were made about the LGBT which I have been to the show and know the comedy routine, I’ve never heard them make a joke about someone’s gender identity. the jokes are very light hearted it just seems people have a chip on their shoulder and want to complain about something I swear… but if you aren’t easily offended by comedy you will love it. they have wine at the concession stand which is super nice. make sure you go see the«All That» clogging thunder and light show!

If you’re in Myrtle for vacation, you HAVE to go to the main show at the Opry. It’s one of the best shows I’ve seen in awhile and I live near some major concert venues at home. I was worried my parents didn’t like it as much as me since they aren’t into country music and the first half is all modern country hits, but they were blown away by the talent and the performance. Apparently some other reviewers were offended by the comedy, but it’s sketch comedy similar to what you would see on Saturday Night Live and the audience seemed to enjoy it when I was there. I saw some other shows in Myrtle but this was hands down the absolute best. Just amazing performers and fantastic production.

My family visits the Myrtle Beach area every year, but this is the first time we have tried a show. My wife chose the Carolina Opry because of reviews she read. We are not country music fans, but do appreciate all types of live music and talented musicians. We took our three children, 12 – 14 years old, who are definitely not country music fans, so I was a little nervous going in. Because of the potential of having grumpy, unimpressed teens and pre-teens, I went for the cheaper tickets. I’m glad I did, because we were on the main floor and could see everything just fine. At the concession stand we purchased two large tubs of popcorn and four 20 oz. bottles of soda for $ 19. That is probably half the price of the same at a movie theatre. I thought the show was good, both the talent and the production. I loved the lead guitarist, and wish they featured him more, One of the female singers was outstanding. For a show they do over and over, the performers seemed to be into it and giving it their all. I thought the comedy was a little corny, but the kids loved it and it was there favorite part. There were kids there whose ages were in the single digits, people who appeared to be in their eighties and everything in between. I thought it was a show appropriate for all of them. I would have been a little more into it if I was more familiar with country music, but that is just my taste. The whole family enjoyed the show and we would attend one of the other shows at this theatre.

Went to go see the new thunder and light show and was not left disappointed. The cloggers were entertaining and extremely talented. They had great modern music pieces that they danced to and a very cool Micheal Jackson tribute in the show. The magician in the Pre-show had us all entertained within the first 30 seconds. Performed mind blowing tricks with a beautiful assistant. They also jumped in the middle of the show and performed phenomenal illusions. I was thoroughly impressed with all the talent in this particular show. Well done!

We attended the Carolina Opry last night. The show was disappointing compared to «One» at the Alabama Theatre. The comedy was very political & way too long! It was just not funny at all! The musical talent was very good, but the song selection left a lot to be desired. It was mostly country, of which I am a huge fan. Many of the songs I was not even familiar with! The closing number of the show did not fit with the theme of the show at all. The cloggers were great & very entertaining. The musicians were all superb & did their best with a weak format for a show. The vocals were mostly spot on! We will not go back to see it again. We recommend going to «One» at the Alabama Theatre instead.

Saw Good Vibrations. Great song choices but not well done. Seemed like music was so loud to cover up lack of musical talent. Singers were excellent but musicians not so much. Best part of the show was the cloggers — really talented & fun to watch. Thought it was a Beach Boys tribute(only 1 Beach Boys song). Finale was patriotic but was Jimmy Hendrix version of Star Spangled Banner. Not appropriate and not a tribute to the many vets who stood to be recognized.

Music was great. We went to the Christmas Show. The refreshments they serve are blah and the timeshare salesmen are right inside the door. Music quality is great. Singers and musicians did great. Beautifully decorated.

Ok, here’s the scoop, the good and the bad. The good: Most of the performers are talented singers, dancers and musicians. The bad: The shows are canned, cheesy, and commercialized. What bothered me most: There is zero diversity in the cast and the band. It’s bizarre and makes me wonder. It definitely made me uncomfortable.

My mother had written a review for the Carolina Opry, but somehow I don’t see it here. It was: «I was offended by the „comedy“, which consisted of making fun of gays, fat women, and bashing the President of the United States.» I echo these sentiments(I booed the comedian) and will add a few of my own. While most of the singers were very talented, the«comedy» was abysmal. Send that«gent» packing, he’s not helping your cause. She gave it two stars, I’m giving it one.

Overall experience– aweeeee(yeah) and aweeeesome! Little tid bit tips and such: All you military folks, they do offer a sweet military deal. My friend & I were in the front rows that night of a show for less than $ 100. Furthermore we had received a coupon from our hotel for free popcorn so yeahhhhh mo’money in ma bank saved and that always excites me! Ambience– It’s a pretty cute little theatre. I was surprised that we could bring food and drinks in their like no big deal, but it worked. Show was awesome. Especially seeing All That in person after having seen them cloggin’ on tv, clog on. Def a place to stop by if you’re in town!
